I ordered everything color of the yarn but in wrong size. Returned the yarn for smaller size, was notified of cost difference but nothing since; no package, no word….

I placed an order on January 1. I received a package that was not what I had ordered on January 15, so I reached out to the company. On January 19 they replied, asking if I wanted a refund or a reshipment. I requested a reshipment. I heard nothing back. I sent the request again on February 3. Still no response from them. Finally I requested on February 23 to receive a refund. It is February 28, and I don't think I'm actually going to hear from them - either to receive the items I ordered or to be refunded my $60. I like some of their products, but I will never buy through their website again.

If you like Lion Brand yarn? DO NOT order it directly from them!! Use another vendor like Crochet.com, Love Crafts or Mary Maxim. I am STILL waiting for a kit I ordered at the end of January, and it’s almost March! One of the times I followed up, customer service email said “oh it’s on its way to you!” They did provide a tracking number, but when I checked the number it showed that the label was only *created*, NOT shipped! The kit finally left their facility a week later. PO says it’s due today but at 8pm it’s still not on the delivery truck and doesn’t even appear to be in my STATE yet. Never again will I order from them! Ughhh

Yarn was not even pulled for 2 whole weeks, until after I called and left msg. A few of the yarn skeins are stiff, not soft at
all. A couple are good.

Please do not buy anything from this company. They are terrible! Zero customer service when they send the wrong item. They have no care in the world and never would send my items even though I tried to call ( no real number) and emailed them repeatedly. What a joke. I had to go to my CC company and dispute the charge

I ordered and paid £45 for a crochet kit nearly a month ago, and still not shipped. I received an email 2 weeks ago informing there was a shipping delay, but no update since . I contacted asking for update or a refund- which they have refused. Terrible customer service.

Terrible Customer Service and Order Delays

I've bought from Lion Brand in the past and never experienced this low level of service. I placed a couple of different orders over 2 weeks ago (writing this on 2-8-25). The orders still show "unfulfilled" meaning they haven't even started pulling the orders together. I put in a ticket to cancel these orders as I'm moving and may not even be at this address if they ever decide to ship them. Customer service wasn't much help...she was nice but said she was the 'only one there' and clearly overwhelmed. She said I'd need to accept the order and return it at my expense. That won't happen, as again, I probably won't be here...they haven't even pulled my order. I won't be shopping at Lion again until they vastly improve their operations.

Haven't received package after 5 weeks. Contacted support and all I got back was a default/generated message telling me to wait longer.

I placed an order in January for yarn and still have had no direct communication from the company as to any reason for the delay or what is going on. I went to the website and confirmed my order was still unfulfilled yesterday and called. After about 20 minutes on hold I finally spoke with someone that told me inclement weather is the reason they can't even be bothered to box up an order much less ship it.
After speaking with them yesterday and being assured my order would be prepared and shipped out either yesterday or today I still see my order sitting unfulfilled and the date I placed my order has even been changed, however I have the correct date in email of when I placed the order.
What kind of shady business is that and where is my order?

I got the yarn that I ordered and I love the color selection and quality, but the processing time was LONG. I placed an order on Jan 4 and on the 9th I finally received an email saying there was a delay due to a high volume of orders. I appreciated the update but then went another 8 days with absolutely no communication and finally on the 17th received a shipping confirmation. Obviously from there any delay was not the fault of the company but just delays d/t weather, but the time from the order to shipping was two weeks! Go fulfill my order!!! They attributed it to a high volume of order but continued to run sales frequently which I’m sure just continued to increase the volume of orders. I was pretty unimpressed with the shipping time and will seriously consider just shopping in stores for yarn or choosing somewhere else from now on.

Poor customer service and delivery system by Lion Brand. After submitting an online order no ETA was provided one week later. Per customer service they had weather challenges in Georgia which I understood. After another week and no response I emailed the company to cancel the order. Still no response several days later followed by 2 vm. Finally was able to speak with a real representative who said the order was dispatched yesterday.
The whole experience is disappointing. The company’s head office needs to investigate the challenges they have particularly staffing and tech systems otherwise customers will go elsewhere.
I will not order from this company again. I will purchase in store.

The customer service was extremely poor. It took 10 days for shipping and handling to notify me they were putting my yarn in the mail. I had no communications with Lion Brand before this. I find this unacceptable, considering I paid $6 for this. Advertising and sales email me regularly. They might hold an inservice for the shipping/handling department about customer communication techniques (half star).

The yarn is a pretty color and has a nice texture. It splits easily and slows a person down when crocheting (three stars for ease of use, color and texture).

My order was missing one skein of yarn (as well as multiple skeins that were refunded due to incorrect website information and availability). I reached out via email about the missing skein and received an automated reply that they were experiencing a large volume of emails and would respond as soon as they could. Several days later I received a “DO NOT REPLY” email stating a representative had already sent a ticketed response (that I never received) and to reply to that ticket or else the issue would be closed. I replied stating I did not receive the representative’s email to no response. I followed up with the original support email several times after that, again, with no response. My missing skein of yarn is still missing at the point of writing this review, which was prompted by their request for review of my purchase.

Placed an order 2.5 weeks ago. Has not shipped. No response from customer service. I'm new to crochet and forsee myself ordering loads in the future, but not from this company again. What an poor way to do business.

Exactly the same as everyone else. Really wish i had checked here first. I would never have ordered from them. I will take it up with my credit card company as this really looks like fraud. Has anyone actually got the yarn or their money back?

I received the wrong order: 2 skeins of multicolor instead of the 23 skeins of different solid colors I ordered. I have emailed multiple times looking for a refund with only a “we are super busy and will get to you eventually” boilerplate reply. After 2 1/2 weeks of near silence, I filed a dispute with my CC company and am waiting for a resolution.

I received someone else’s order and it took me well over a week to get ahold of someone at Lion to address it. That was two weeks ago and I have yet to receive any confirmation that it has been corrected. That’s almost $100 that I’ve lost and am yet to recoup.

Placed my order 2.5 weeks ago. I was charged and received a confirmation email. My order hasn't shipped and I have not been able to get in contact with anyone at the company. I've sent several emails, called a few times, left a couple of voicemails, etc. No one answers, responds, returns the call. It's been over a week since I've tried to get in touch with them.

I finally took to Instagram but they are ignoring my DMs, so I started commenting on their posts since they are still posting daily there. I saw another customer doing the same for the same reason. They are deleting both mine and the other customer's comments.

They have great yarn but customer service is non-existent! I reached out twice to cancel an order and never heard back. Luckily I was able to find projects to put my excess yarn to use but good luck contacting anyone if you need them!
