LONDONWEAR.CO.UK - Scam

Re; londonwear
I bought 2 coats online at londonwear on 29 May 2025, at a price of £89.95 for both. When I received the coats both didn’t fit and I noticed they weren’t as advertised on the website. So I emailed them and asked for their physical street address so I could return both items to them, and get a refund. I also gave them the order No, and my name and address. As is their stated policy on their website, for returns.
I have requested their physical street address 4 x on 4 different days, but they refuse to give it to me. As a result I started to look in to their business londonwear (it shouldn’t be confused with other companies of a similar name). I since looked on trust pilot and found similar complaints about them. One said they believed that they take orders using the londonwear.co.uk website, but orders are sent from China. And the ordered goods arrive but aren’t the ones they ordered on the website. Usually a cheaper quality looking item, that wasn’t what they ordered.
I copied this code from the top of their web page
I believe Shopify is a card processing company based overseas so couldn’t get any further. I believe this business has only ever had a constant ‘ Sale ‘ on, to attract customers. The website is very professional looking, but you don’t get (exactly) what you paid for. I can’t help thinking it’s a scam/fraud, because they won’t give the physical address for returns. If it gets to 30 days they can turn round and say I didn’t return the goods on time to get a refund.
It's a scam.
Update:
After i threatened to take them to the small claims court in UK. They finally gave me their return address.
Their return address is in China. It cost me £33.30 to send the parcel back (track and trace), so they can't say they didn't receive it. Now i'll wait and see if i get the balance of my payment back.

By having a business name that gives the impression it's a UK business. It draws unsuspecting buyers in.
I've learned from this. If the business you want to buy from online, doesn't show their business address (street address) on their ' contact ' page, be worried, be very worried. Or you may lose your shirt, and underwear!
Update 2;
Despite sending the goods back to China. I still haven't received my money back. So i'm out of pocket by £89.95 + Postage = £123.25 as of 8 July 2025
Update 3;
As of 9 July they have changed their name to verodeva dot com but still selling the same stuff

SCAM shoes

SCAM !! The shoes I ordered bore little resemblance to the ones pictured/described on their site. They were badly made from very cheap materials and I wouldn't wear them if they were free. The company pretends to be based in London but the products are from China and cost half as much to send back. I have decided not to return the £54 shoes at a cost of £23 as I don't trust that they will refund anything if they deceive the customer from the outset. Lesson learned, don't touch them with a bargepole !

Chinese scam. Steer clear

I fully agree with the previous reviewers; this is a Chinese scam. I ordered a pair of leather shoes, which arrived more than 2 weeks later, straight from China, nothing like the photo, appalling quality, clearly not leather, and about two sizes smaller than advertised. They arrived in a ziplock bag(!) inside a UK postage wrapper, the sender indicated as some illegible company name in the UK - it probably arrives there from China to keep the real sender unknown, then re-posted from there, so obviously someone in the UK is involved. (The tracker they provide start off from China as well) Their return and refund policy would be completely illegal in the UK - and they tell you not to return it to the sender's address but "to Asia", and you have to request the return address.
The most annoying thing is that I had looked them up prior to purchasing from them, on a website that rates online sellers in terms of the likelihood of being a scammer, and they basically said that the londonwear.co.uk web address had all the attributes of a legitimate seller, such as SSL encryption and secure payments, etc.
But as soon as I received the purchase confirmation and the tracker stating that it's coming from China, I froze my card for online payments, and am now in the process of replacing my card with a new one, on the off chance that they decide to empty my bank account after scamming me out of the price of a pair of shoes. If you've purchased from them then you may want to consider doing the same.
Really appalling experience.
Steer clear of them, you don't get what you ordered and you would definitely not be supporting a UK business.
(Apparently anyone in the world can have a .co.uk website, the domain name is not tied to physical location....)

Do not buy from this company

Selling at a good discount allegedly because of shop closing down!!!
Indicates 1-3 days delivery… it was 16!
Poor quality product straight from China.
Advertised as 30 day money back guarantee but when asked for refund I was positively discouraged by being given a partial and quite laughable discount because they don’t provide return codes and want you to cover the cost to return it to China!!!
What really makes this a scam is they tell you when returning to put a much lower price than you paid for it so that it clears customs!

This company feels a bit scammy

This company feels a bit scammy. My elderly mum saw a "closing down" ad for UK based stores. The website makes everything look great quality and suggests there are large discounts being offered. She bought a dress for £40, which came from China and was very poor quality.. not £40 value let alone the supposed original price. She's missed the timeline to return but I will see if they'll allow us to get a refund out of the return window.
