Horrific company taken £100s from me on maternity leave
Horrific company! Please protect your money and shop elsewhere. I brought some baby bottles whilst on mattering leave. I have dyselexia and adhd so struggle with processing a lot of information. I was then charged £8.99 for over 1.5 years even though I never logged in again. I did not realise as I struggle with organisation checking my bank ect.I explained to them I had no clue and I received a very generic blunt email that basically told me…tough. I can see this has happened to 100s of others so as a company you would hope they may review how they force the membership on people.
They will sign you up for a membership and so have never shopped at any other company that does this. They must make millions from doing this to people and it is really unethical. To make matters worst after I was told my membership was cancelled I was then charged again this month! Please shot elsewhere. I never leave reviews but they are making a lot of money from people who may not information well through no thought of their own. They have no regard to the equality act or diversity! I suspect that most of these reviews are fraudulent and written by AI or paid staff. Good luck. X
Update to the helpful reply…. if you go to LUX plus and search the product you want it simply says “buy” when you click buy the membership is automatically added to your basket. I have screen-recorded this for evidence. I did not realise you could click on the product and unselect the membership. This is purposeful tactics to confuse people with vulnerabilities.

\-On the homepage
\-Under the membership price, where it states that purchasing at this price starts a membership
\-You must actively choose whether to buy a product at the member price or the regular price
\-A membership is added to your basket when you purchase member-priced items for the first time
\-You also receive a confirmation email with information about the membership when you place your first order
\-Additional information can be found under our “Terms and Conditions” and “Membership Terms”
You mention that you were charged again. Feel free to contact member service, and we will do our best to help you further.

I was charged 8.99 a month after i had bought 3 creams worth nearly £20.
I wanted to return 1 cream and Luxplus was charging me 10 euros for label.I was shocked to see that a label will cost me that much,meanwhile the cream i want to return doesn’t cost that much.I think this is their way of preventing u from returning goods.
Luxplus is a bad company and I will not recommend to anyone.
I should have read other customers review first be patronising

Surprise charges
I made one purchase (my ever first purchase from this website) at the begging of the month. Suddenly today I’ve been charged from this website for a different amount when I never purchased again. I’m dealing with it via PayPal, and I hope I can get a refund, but I’m never ever buying from them again.
Edit:
I saw their reply. Which changes nothing. If their website is designed to deceive customers so we’ll start a membership without realising that’s still wrong. I checked my purchase email and there was NO mention of the membership. And I wouldn’t have bought hair spray under a membership because I know I always forget to cancel.
Please avoid this sketchy company at all costs.

Please please avoid at all costs, or know that a purchase with them automatically signs you up for an £8.99 monthly payment, with no possibility of a refund if you made an honest mistake and did not know. It is shocking that this behaviour is legal.

UPDATE: 9 July. Readers will see the reply below from Luxplus. After I placed the order for a product, my email confirmation contained the following two paragraphs. We all shop daily online for goods and services? I accept that these transactions are governed by terms and conditions. But why bury something so important right at the bottom when few if any will read (as all the other comments show).

Ved køb på vores hjemmeside tilbydes alle nye kunder en prøveperiode på 30 dage med Luxplus-medlemskab, hvilket fremgår under bestillingsforløbet samt i den ordrebekræftelse, du har modtaget. Efter prøveperioden overgår medlemskabet automatisk til et betalt abonnement på 89 kr., medmindre det opsiges inden udløb.

Scam Warning!
UPDATE After PayPal refused a refund based on the reply Luxplus gave them I asked them to investigate more thoroughly and treat this as a scam. I sent them a link to these reviews as evidence. They then gave me a refund.
Absolute scam. They hid the fact that I was signing up to indefinite monthly payments of 8.99 without receiving anything amongst the terms and conditions. It looks like they have now changed this to a pop up and one of their staff has put up a review criticising people for falling for it but the products are not worth the money and certainly not a monthly subscription.

Scam - they don't tell you that they charge for membership. They just steal the money from you after a couple of weeks. I never agreed to this. Avoid at all costs.
I should also point out that Luxplus is not the company at the postal address given here. More evidence of dishonesty? The postal address given here on trustpilot is actually for a company called Swarm Group who are regularly threatened with compulsory strike-off for not filing their accounts. Definitely something to keep in mind if you're hoping to get a refund.Swarm Group is owned by William Christopher Perry, whose details can be obtained from the Companies House website.
It's also not possible to check out of luxplus without setting up a membership. This really is a scam.
I would like to see an explanation for any of the above from the person who responded to my earlier post.

Avoid at all costs. They took £8.99 twice from my bank account without notice after I bought a pack of mini sauce containers.

Without being too harsh, the 1-starrers are simply projecting their own naivety (or incompetence) onto their review. It clearly states that you are signing up for a membership, the first 14 days are free and you can cancel at any time; in exchange for the cheaper prices. Simply buy your product and cancel your membership within 14 days.

I ordered a product from this company which was a little cheaper than elsewhere so thought I’d give them a go. The parcel arrived after a few weeks and poorly packed.
I am usually very switched on when buying online from new companies but on this occasion did not realise I was automatically a member and would have £8.99 taken from my account every month for evermore. After two months of this I contacted the company who replied relatively promptly with a semi cut and paste response.
I intend to contact my credit card company to ask them to deal with this.
I always read reviews before buying but again on this occasion did not do so. If only I had!!
I will never use this company again and would advise 100% against it. Totally unprofessional and sneaky and relying on customers not checking carefully enough to con them out of £8.99 a month. I dread to think how much money this company is taking from innocent people.
Avoid at all costs.
Obviously the company is not reading any of these reviews just replying with a bog standard cut and paste series of comments. Hoping other potential customers DO read the comments before buying from this company.
