A great cottage situated in a very quiet rural village, great for an away from it all escape.

The holiday cottage we stayed at was extremely dirty and Luxury Cottages did not help .

We had a great time. It was a good base to view all of N Norfolk.
I didn’t feel that the property was as ‘ luxury’ as I would have wanted. The property felt very much like it was designed as a business and not loved. The decor was great and as described but the barn itself was dark and I felt a little grubby.
It did the job and we had a great holiday but overall I was a little disappointed.

This was an outstanding property. The house is amazing, the setting unbelievable. Waking up to that view over the lake and eating breakfast on the porch was a real treat. Tranquillity and luxury in one. Cannot recomend enough.

We booked a farmhouse (Millook) in Bude through Luxury Cottages and were very disappointed. The property is actually called Trengayor Farm — Luxury Cottages change the names of listings, which makes it harder to find the true owner. A quick reverse image search will reveal the real name, and I strongly recommend doing that before booking.

We encountered several issues during our stay: the ensuite was unfinished, there was dog hair throughout, the mattress was uncomfortable, and the outdoor furniture and BBQ were dirty and outdated. ‘Luxury’ - no. We reported everything constructively but received no response or resolution whatsoever.

On top of that, we discovered we’d paid £600 more than we would have if we’d booked directly with the owner or through other platforms such as vrbo / Airbnb. Considering Luxury Cottages provided no meaningful service or support, the markup was completely unjustified.

To this day, customer service has ignored all of my emails — both about the condition of the property and the inflated price. At this point, it feels like we’re being completely blanked, which is honestly quite worrying. It’s starting to feel like we’ve been scammed.

My advice: always search for the property directly. Luxury Cottages add a hefty fee for no added value and seem to disappear the moment something goes wrong.

Easy booking service online. House beautiful with excellent facilities and quality furnishings throughout. Only thing missing was an outside shower for wetsuit washdown and a tumble dryer in the utility room would be perfect.

Great appartment and we (2 adults and 2 kids) loved to stay there.

Every aspect of the cottage was lovely, in a beautiful setting, but the third bedroom en-suite is really way too small for a couple travelling with a lot of luggage… it should only fit a single or bunk bed set. We managed, but having to crawl along like a crab to get passed the foot of the bed…. Is not what we wee expecting. All else was fine.

The place we stayed was amazing, but wasn’t particularly impressed with Luxury Cottages considering the holidays are expensive. When I paid my balance of almost £2000, I had to contact them to confirm receipt, as no confirmation received. Then the week leading up to the holiday I had to chase the email with all the arrival details. Having said that, when I contacted them, they responded straight away, but I shouldn’t have had to contact them, in my opinion the 2 things I chased, are basic things I expect from any holiday provider.
