John at Magic Drinks could not have been more helpful when we wanted to ordered the drinks for our daughter’s wedding. Great value, of course, but also excellent service. First class delivery, on time and on schedule. Nothing a problem. I can certainly recommend them for drink supplies for any occasion. Thanks John

We used Magic Drinks for our wedding on 1 November 2025. The drinks service itself was good, but unfortunately the refund/buy back experience afterwards was completely unacceptable.
Our unopened drinks were collected on 2 November 2025 and a credit note was issued on 23 November 2025. We were originally told refunds could take 4–6 weeks.
What followed was months of chasing by email and phone and numerous promised payment dates that came and went.
During this time we were variously told that John was waiting for refunds from suppliers, that customers and suppliers owed them money causing cash flow problems, that the UK hospitality industry was struggling, and later that John was aboard and his iPhone had broken, leaving him with an old fashioned phone with no internet (but he was able to respond to emails)

After more than six months of chasing, we eventually had enough and served Bardome Ltd / Magic Drinks with a statutory demand for payment.
Only after the statutory demand was served was a structured repayment plan put in place, and the outstanding refund was eventually paid after another 4 weeks.

We did ultimately receive the money owed to us, but customers should not have to spend months repeatedly chasing their own money and resort to formal legal action to recover it.
Unfortunately, based on our experience, I recommend staying away from Magic Drinks.

This was my first time using magic drinks. Ordered Hildon water to be delivered to the very bottom of Cornwall, this was all sorted processed & delivered within 3 days followed by a courtesy call the following day after delivery to check all was ok.
Really professional, communicative & pleased to say some people can actually still do their job properly .. & above all no stress for me !
Will definitely use again .. thank you so much.

The owner John is very unprofessional and definitely made me feel uncomfortable when meeting in person.

100% more friendly than he needed to be (for my personal liking) and I even had to request that he leave my order on the doorstep, so I could wait until he had left to avoid the over-staring & small talk.

Delays on orders, along with poor communication.

I found myself having to follow up a lot and when delivery dates were eventually confirmed, they would get cancelled but I would not be updated.

One excuse: "I forgot I had another delivery elsewhere".. but the delivery date was confirmed the day before.

I read through the company reviews and saw that John had similar negative experiences with others.

I even came across a helpful solution from another upset customer, to threaten to take legal action for a refund request that I was struggling with.

FYI; I did have to edit my initial disgruntled review and be more clearer with my words but I am VERY confused by John's LIES in his response as I ordered 3 cases but he only ever delivered 2 cases (invoices are very much available), never apologising for his own mistake and then began messing me around when it came to delivering the 3rd case; hence why I had to request a refund in the first place and had to threaten him with legal action before I could get a response.

Also there was no "we" with his services and I believe he is running the show alone as I never ever had contact with anyone else except John.

I WOULD 100% AVOID IF THERE ARE OTHER SUPPLIERS AVAILABLE!

I recently used Magic Drinks for a party I hosted on the 15th of November, and I can honestly say the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. From my very first phone call, John was nothing short of incredible. He took the time to walk me through my order, made thoughtful recommendations, and ensured that every detail was handled with care and professionalism.

What truly stood out was John’s dedication on the day of the delivery. Even though the access to the venue was not very convenient for deliveries —a situation that could have made things extremely difficult—John didn’t hesitate for a moment. He personally helped carry every box of drinks all the way to the venue without a single complaint. His attitude, patience, and willingness to go above and beyond left a lasting impression on me and everyone involved in the event.

The wine selection itself was absolutely fantastic. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious the wines were, and we received so much positive feedback throughout the night. It was clear that Magic Drinks puts real care into curating high-quality beverages, and it made a noticeable difference to the atmosphere and enjoyment of the party.

I am incredibly grateful to John and the entire Magic Drinks team for their outstanding service, kindness, and professionalism. They turned what could have been a stressful part of planning into a smooth, enjoyable experience. I will absolutely be using them again for future events, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable service, great products, and a team that genuinely cares about their customers.

Got a great deal on Dalwhinnie 15 year old whisky. Good communication, as I was getting it shipped to a friends place and he called me when there was no answer to the door.
Shame they don't deliver outside London.

I was attracted to the Magic Drinks Company by their competitive prices. Sometimes an organisation can show outstanding service even more so when things go wrong than when they do not. I placed an order for a Christmas present at the end of November 2024. The shipper (a "household name") managed to lose a big part of the order. When notified, John Triantafillou, of Magic Drinks, responded in a very customer-focused way and made sure the missing part of the order was delivered before Christmas. Well done John and Magic Drinks for outstanding customer service!

Used magic drinks for my wedding. As it was sale or return I ordered more than I needed so I wouldn’t be worried about running out of drinks.

John had been great with contact before the wedding and even sent me prompt reminders or when payments were due (!). As soon as the wedding was over and he collected the drinks to be refunded he went quiet. I kept chasing him for months after the wedding and he’d fob me off. Eventually we had to threaten him with legal proceedings. Only then did he transfer the money into my account. I also know another couple that used him and he was avoiding them too! DO NOT USE!!!
