Dan went above and beyond helping my family with a difficult move from Dorset to Bicester. Not our fault but we were late arriving and he stayed to help us. Amazing - would definitely recommend Storage Giant Bicester

It is always a fantastic experience dealing with Paul and John at Storage Giant, they are incredibly helpful and recently went above and beyond to help me with my recent move. I’ve used them for about 10 years at this point and it’s people like this that make the experience great (and stress-free) every time.

They were complete life savers on the day of my move, as I was about to spend a whole day moving all my stuff out myself. They ended up loading everything into their van, drove to my door and even unpacked everything - all within a couple of hours. Incredible!

Wow these guys were super helpful and a lot better value for money than other storage units. I dealt with Kate Jackson and she couldn’t have been any more helpful. We didn’t have the hard sell of trying to give us something that was too big - she listened asked the right questions and gave us a fabulous deal. We had a very friendly and helpful staff member called Alex, who welcomed us and clearly explained how the storage rental system operates. All costs were explained and all of our questions were answered. We were impressed with the safety and cleanliness of the facility. Definitely recommend the service.

I am absolutely appalled by the treatment I have received from Storage Giant Oldbury. I genuinely struggle to understand how any company can consider the way this matter has been handled acceptable.

I had a substantial amount of property stored with this company, representing YEARS of belongings and a significant financial investment.

When I experienced financial difficulties, I did not simply disappear or refuse to engage. I contacted Storage Giant, explained my circumstances, raised concerns and repeatedly tried to communicate with them.

Instead of meaningful communication, I have experienced ignored emails, unanswered questions, conflicting information and some of the most appalling telephone communication I have ever experienced from a business.

Then came the bombshell.

After repeatedly chasing Storage Giant for answers, I was casually informed OVER THE TELEPHONE that my belongings had apparently been SOLD AT AUCTION.

Imagine being told that possessions you have spent years accumulating – including substantial stock and personal belongings – have apparently been sold, while you are still desperately trying to get someone within the company to properly respond to you.

I was devastated.

What makes this even more disturbing is the continued difficulty I have experienced trying to obtain clear information about exactly what happened.

I want very simple answers:

When exactly were my goods seized?

What notices were issued to me, when were they issued and by what method?

When and where did the auction/sale take place?

Who conducted the sale?

What inventory was made of my belongings?

What did my belongings sell for?

What fees or charges were deducted?

How were the proceeds applied to my account?

Was there any surplus remaining and, if so, where is it?

These are not unreasonable questions when a company is telling a customer that their PROPERTY HAS BEEN SOLD.

Let's be clear this is not a case of a few old settees. This is a significant amount of items and a large discrepancy in the reported value for which they have allegedly sold.

The communication from the Oldbury branch has compounded an already incredibly distressing situation. I have found the manner in which I have been spoken to, particularly by the manager Ash to be dismissive, confrontational and utterly lacking in the level of professionalism I would expect when dealing with something this serious.

I would strongly advise anyone considering Storage Giant to think very carefully about entrusting them with belongings that are valuable, sentimental or irreplaceable. READ EVERY WORD OF YOUR AGREEMENT. KEEP EVERY EMAIL. KEEP RECORDS OF EVERY PAYMENT. AND GET IMPORTANT COMMUNICATION IN WRITING.

This has gone far beyond a normal customer-service complaint for me.

These were MY possessions. Some represented a significant financial investment. Others simply cannot be replaced.

I should not have to relentlessly chase a company for basic transparency about what happened to my property and the money generated from its sale.

Storage Giant now needs to provide a full, transparent and documented account of exactly what has happened.

Until then, my experience of Storage Giant Oldbury can only be described as absolutely disgraceful. This is not the end..

UPDATE FOLLOWING STORAGE GIANT'S RESPONSE:
I need to correct a significant factual statement made in the company's public response. I did not owe 12 months' storage fees. My arrears were approximately three months, following a period of serious illness. I had been a paying customer for more than three years.
The company's statement that it “stored my goods for 12 months” should not be confused with me owing 12 months' rent. If Storage Giant maintains that I was 12 months in arrears, I invite them to provide the account statement showing this.
I also dispute the suggestion that attempts to contact me were simply unsuccessful. I have retained my own email correspondence showing my attempts to communicate with the company, explain my circumstances and resolve the account.
Storage Giant now states publicly that “full transparency has been provided” and that “all communications relating to this matter have been shared with you in writing.” I dispute this. I am still seeking documentation relating to the disposal/sale of my goods and a proper accounting of the proceeds.

Theses are fake reviews only interested in getting people’s money. Your belongings are not safe! I was scammed into getting this storage unit also things are missing from it. Someone unlocked my storage unit. and they are not doing anything to help me find out what happened to my things. Because I am a vulnerable person they think they can frighten me this company has no manners or respect. only interested in getting money !

Helen was excellent in helping advise which size storage unit to use. She even invited me to come and look round at the different sizes to help me choose. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and made the process as smooth as possible. Thank you.
