I am not pleased with this vendor

I am not pleased with this vendor. Did all the behind the scenes work to get it up and going to have the "Campaign Under Review."

When I reached out to customer service, they began quoting an Acceptable Use Policy regarding Opt-In that was not shared prior to or during the account setup process. I asked for a refund and cancellation of account so I am know awaiting my funds.

This process was a waste of valuable time and I do not recommend this vendor to anyone.

Mailtrap applies compliance checks around recipient consent (opt-in) before allowing campaigns to go out. If the system cannot verify that recipients have explicitly opted in, campaigns may be placed under review or restricted. This is necessary to protect deliverability and ensure a safe sending environment for all users on the platform.

Automated rejection with zero path to verification

Attempted to migrate my transactional mail to Mailtrap and was rejected by an automated bot within minutes. My domain is a legitimate business, yet they provide no manual audit process or human interaction to verify your use case. If you have any history of technical testing on your domain, their algorithms will likely flag you and lock you out with no explanation. There are much more professional and e-commerce friendly alternatives out there.

Misleading 'downgrade' after payment failure blocks actual downgrading and also is misleading since it looks like its alraedy downgraded: leads to having a payed subscription without realizing..

When a payment attempt fails, our system may retry the charge to prevent unintended service disruption. In some cases, this can create the impression that a subscription has already been downgraded or canceled when it hasn’t yet been fully processed.

Una muy buena experiencia la verdad!

Una muy buena experiencia la verdad, me dió 4000 correos al mes para empezar y los planes son bastantes asequibles. No me demoró nada en configurar todo y los correos funcionan de maravilla, plataforma impecable, credenciales excelentes, variedad de puertos para poder enviar correos, verificación DNS instantanea, todo super bien!

Por lejos la mejor plataforma de correos que he visto.

Service blocked marketing sending; support response unhelpful for paid customers

Mailtrap blocked our ability to send marketing emails. We’re a paid customer and the list we use is opt-in/permission-based. When we contacted support, they stated our email list was “not verified” and considered it “cold email.”

This is a serious issue because the platform didn’t provide a clear verification process or objective criteria to resolve the block. The support reply did not offer actionable steps beyond repeating the decision.

For a paid service, I expected a transparent compliance process and a workable way to appeal or verify our list. Unfortunately, the experience was poor and disrupted our campaigns.

It's trap, Don't buy services from Mailtrap

Behave same like Name, It's trap, Once you buy services, They suspend account for showing their policy and terms, and not refund your money.

Strongly asking you guys find another alertnative, Don't use this, It's trap.

Much better option than others (after 1 month of use)

Just started using the NEWLY advertised company with $30 1 lakh email plan. The domain credentials are good and include all requirements such as spf, dmarc, dkim and others. It has the email api interface inbuilt and hourly limit for basic plan is 150 emails/hour which is too less. However it may be justified for the company to keep their smtp authority. i have requested to upgrade the limit but they ask too many questions but later increased my limited to 500 emails/hour. i am using their email api interface sometimes and using my own mailer software sometimes with smtp credentials of mailtrap. Unsatisfied with hourly limit, I have recieved refund successfully no questions asked. It has good refund policy. Again I subscribed it as they promised increase in limits.

Not quite ready for E-Mail marketing

Many important basic features are missing and solutions always cause a lot of manual work. So currently I would not recommend it.

The support team is here to help tho and very friendly.

Potentially improving the review once more features are out.

Excellent email platform!

We have been using Mailtrap for 3 months and have very good experience with them. We use SMTP relay, webhooks, sending hundred of thousands emails and all works good. They also have a great support which really cares and is helpful. They also offer preview of all emails you send with spam analysis etc.

I can highly recommend Mailtrap.
