I wouldn't order from makemygift again. I ordered an elite caramel cake for $96 and they delivered a cheaper chocolate cake.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this company has been extremely disappointing and deserves to be shared.

I was charged over $230 for what was meant to be a complete gift package, including premium dark pink flowers, a teddy bear, a birthday card, and a Deluxe Relaxation & Treats Gift Basket for Her. What was actually delivered was just a cheap-looking, light pink bouquet that was not fresh, and none of the other items arrived at all.

To make matters worse, the way the company handled the situation was completely unacceptable. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, they were rude and dismissive—both in their response to me and in their chat with my wife. They even suggested I was making false claims to get a refund, which is frankly offensive and unprofessional.

This was meant to be a special occasion, and the entire experience has been frustrating and upsetting. Charging a premium price and delivering substandard, incomplete items—then responding with poor customer service—is simply not acceptable.

I would strongly advise others to avoid this company unless they are prepared to risk poor quality products and unprofessional behaviour.

I am currently pursuing a refund/chargeback.

Very disappointing experience

My husband ordered me fresh roses, a teddy bear and a birthday card with a personalized message. All I got was some wilted roses. No teddy, no birthday card. When I complained, instead of apologizing for the error, the owner told me that I was ‘stupid’ was asking for a refund or a discount. They are a total
Scam! Never order anything from them.

Never felt more cheated than ordering from this site! The pictures online are totally misleading, the service was terrible! Never order anything from them!

I ordered a total of four cakes last week to be delivered in Milton and Canton Michigan, to my brothers and sisters addresses.
Out of them only two were delivered. They first emailed me about the correct address in USA, which I provided but the cake didn't get delivered. Those which were delivered were not having any details of sender or any message( though their so called form apparently has full section)
No one in the office to take the calls and they ask you to contact through email.
My brother visited the office in Brampton mentioned on the website and was shocked that the address belongs to a courier company.
This is simply a scam and authorities should take action to stop this fraudulent buisness.

cake arrived 7 hours late after I waited around for the delivery time they promised.. it was a cookies and cream cheesecake ordered, cost $90CAD, yet what arrived was a $20 chocolate cake from Save on Foods…
Absolute joke, my poor mum that ordered this was completely scammed.

These are scammers and very unprofessional people. They advertised something and delivered totally opposite.

Teddy and Cake was totally different with flowers having some resemblance with the picture on the website.

I emailed them to replace and they never bothered to answer.

Pathetic is the only word they deserve, first they send defective jewellery in an ancient time old box, when I highlight the matter, they simply offer chiller compansation of Rs.200/-,300/-. Not recommended, this is fraud totally online fraud company

I ordered a cake for my sister for Christmas. Imagined they would deliver the beautiful "Elite Caramel Mousse Chocolate Cake" in the picture. Instead, my sister received a plain chocolate cake that she said looked and tasted like it came directly from the local Safeway. And they charged me $73.89 USD (102CA), more than 60% than the advertised price on the website. I wish I had checked Trustpilot first!!!

My mom ordered a cake from abroad. It was supposed to be a beautiful $70 cake with a red bow and a card; totalling about $100. Today I received a text from another province checking on the cake delivery. They didn’t provide any names. We thought it was a scam on us. Went to the door and there was a cake with a clear plastic cover. They took the time to peel the sticker off the front, but they didn’t rip it fully and an address was still visible. The address? The local superstore.

I think we were luckier than a lot of people here, since we got a cake and the ones from the superstore are rather good, but they are also $20 at most.

How is this ‘business’ operating in Canada? Merry Christmas.

I ordered a birthday cake and flowers over a month ago for a special birthday surprise, spending a lot of money expecting reliable delivery. On the actual birthday, I get an email saying “delivery not available” – order cancelled, nothing delivered! Ruined the entire day, no gift, no explanation upfront. They held my money for weeks and pulled this last-minute crap.
When I emailed support demanding answers and a refund, their “Sales” team replied with pure abuse: “You s0n of a b!tch, fvck off from here and get a life. Learn to speak and respect.” Unbelievable – insulting a paying customer instead of fixing their mess!
This company is a complete fraud. Fake photos on the site, non-delivery, rude/abusive staff, and from what I’ve seen online, tons of others get cheap grocery store junk instead of what they paid for (or nothing at all).

Absolutely a scammer. Spent more than $150 for cheap cake for random cake from Kroger which original price is only $24. May your soul burn in the helll

No gift was ever delivered. When I contacted them to find out more they called me terrible names. They sent proof of delivery pictures but it was the complete wrong building. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!

Avoid! Did deliver a cake, but it was not what was ordered and it was a Walmart store bought cake with the labels removed. As it wasn’t what was ordered we didn’t know what was in the cake. Doesn’t help with allergies!
The have not replied to any contact at all.

Negative, we got a cake full of mold, when cut into it is 50% green, it’s a chocolate cake so I can’t believe how old this was to become this green. Based on the reviews I’m glad we got a cake. Stay away. This company should get investigated from Health Canada

Super poor service. Rude customer service as well. Stay away from this site. Order was delivered incomplete with missing items one day late. Cake and flowers are from super store with tags peeled off. Highly recommend to stay away and never use them. Zero value for money.

wish I had researched this company before ordering from them. I ordered some items as a surprise birthday gift for someone in the states.
What was received is nothing as described and advertised on their website. When I raised this issue with them, they attacked me and said they will sue me for fraud, if I dispute the transaction with my bank, very ironic! They took my money and did not deliver the item I ordered so they are the fraudster not the customer.

I did not research this company because I ordered through a platform called SHOPIFY, I have used SHOPIFY before and had no issues so I assumed this company was safe to use but it turned out I was wrong. SHOPIFY has not responded to my complaints about this company so my guess is SHOPIFY is also not a good company hence bad companies continue to use their platform to operate fraudulently.
