The stuff made us feel unwelcome. Asking help feels like bothering the salesmen. Negative athmosphere. When asked to try a specific guitar with pedals they offered a another option which was not at all what we looked after.
Been there twice, won’t go again. Such a shame since the selection is very nice.

I was looking for a Fender American Performer Telecaster and found that Max Guitar had 5 in store. Since I couldn't drive there to test the instrument myself I placed my order together with a note that it would be awesome if they could send the one that they would buy themselves if they were in my shoes. It was a Sunday and I didn't expect to hear anything until Monday. Not one hour later Robbert answered that he would look into it himself! Long story short: Guitar arrived Friday on my doorstep. With the "No hassle insurance" the packaging would have protected the fiddle from a lot. Directly out of the box and freezing cold it was only a couple cents out of tune and instantly playable. Inbetween sending and arriving Robert sent another message wether all is okay so far and if I am satisfied. Well, I am. Very much so. The customer service is really really good and I'm one happy camper. So far I'm still in the very early honeymoon with the instrument but from a purely technical point of view the Telly came setup to Fender specs regarding neck relief, action, pickup height and so on. The neck itself is perfect, the fret job is absolutely flawless, the intonation came almost spot on out of the box. I just gave the truss rod one quarter of tightening and reached my preferred set-up. Thanks guys, it was a pleasure buying from you!

A simple standard return had a delay of one full month to be completed, even after several emails. Never again.

Mooie gitaar gekocht van gerenommeerde fabrikant, maar in die fabriek was een foutje gemaakt en de gitaar zou terug moeten naar importeur en dan maar zien hoe lang het duurt. Maar…. de gitaarchirurg van Max heeft de hele configuratie van elementen, draden, potmeters etc. in orde gemaakt en een paar uur later klonk de gitaar geweldig. Kosten dezes geen enkele euro en garantie loopt gewoon door. Erg tevreden. Weer.

Gisteren een prachtige Fender Telecaster American Performer gekocht! Enorm goed geholpen met deskundig advies en een goede uitleg. En ik kreeg, naast goede koffie 😃, alle tijd om verschillende modellen uit te proberen in een speelruimte
zodat ik in alle rust de juiste keuze heb kunnen maken. Fijn personeel met veel kennis, top ervaring. Thanks! Gr. Peter

I am in Mexico and requested a chat on the webpage, for a not very common color and model of guitar they actually had on sale (Atlantic Deluxe Black) gave my email and they contacted me the next day. Max himself answered all of my questions patiently day by day even on weekends about the possibility and price of shipping the guitar to Mexico. He also improved the initial price. The web page (not the new one) did not allow to make the purchase or show the UPS packaging price for my country, so Max got me that info himself.

At first I wanted to pay via pay pal, Max suggested it be with the "friends and family" option, I was a bit hesitant but it is a good idea after all to keep the price low, and Max sounded very trust-able as he shows himself on the YouTube channel as well as Facebook. In the end I opted for international transfer because of card practicality for me.

I made the payment on a Friday night and sent an email letting them know. By monday afternoon Max answered that it was soon to be processed. Other staff checked all the info several times via email, then they sent the guitar a couple days later which arrived to Mexico pretty much the next day via UPS.

Then in Mexico it is another story with UPS service and customs, that part was expensive but nothing to do with Max Guitars, in fact it was a very pleasant surprise that the guitar included the deluxe case (we did not talk about this over the emails) so the expensive customs and slow service of UPS already in Mexico felt less of a bummer.

The guitar strings were cut too short in my opinion, as I was playing a bit with the locking mechanism, they snapped and couldn't put 2 of them back. I would have left 1 cm of extra length just in case, but I was going to re-string anyway, so not a big deal.

The case came with a few picks and a couple of small goodies from Max Guitars too.

Overall very satisfied with the service and the product, would buy and use again. Would like to visit if I ever go to The Hague in Netherlands.

Wow. Zeer kundige advisering, hele prettige begeiding, bijzonder ruim assortiment, fijne sfeer, goede koffie... Wat wil je nog meer….?!

Vandaag een Epiphone J-200 gekocht. Ik werd zeer goed geholpen door Wouter die ook meteen een lekker bak koffie met stroopwafel aanbood. Er werd rustig de tijd genomen en Wouter kwam zelf met nog een J-200 uit het magazijn welke een nog mooiere tekening op de achterkant heeft. De gitaar is ook meteen een beetje gesteld. Goede prijs ook trouwens.
Kortom, een goede zaak met vriendelijk personeel die de tijd voor je nemen. Thanks mannen 👊🏼

They do not accept return for new product as B-Stock. And it is not indicated in their policy. Guitar just received, I don't like the tone (not my taste) otherwise the guitar is great but not for me. I asked for a return, and they not accepted. It is not so fear and I will investigate as I don't think the law is respected. I asked them if an exchange is possible in this case and I'm waiting for a feedback.

Came in last saturday to check-out some hollowbody guitars. Instantly fell in love with a second hand D’Angelico ex-175 (untill then I did not know of its existence)
Very happy to have visited the store, also great applause for the guitar technician who made it look like new and play/sound like butter 🤩

I bought a custom made guitar, which Max Guitars had in their shop (happy with that) and at the same time I bought an amp (Da Capo Roesner) which appeared to have an annoying rumble. I could not hear that well in their shop because of their ventilation system which makes noise. I phoned immediately when I came home and noticed it. I was very surprised they did not want to pay me back the money and give me a voucher instead! Their policy is very strict when buying in the shop: you don't get a refund even when the product is not 100%. I was told that a rumble was normal but I tried 4 amps after this experience and with only a very light background noise which was not disturbing.
Finally I bought a Schertler through them but I am still disappointed about how they treat their customers.
