Mels travel are a brilliant local independent travel company. I initially had a quick chat with Caitlin who was very friendly.
I went back the next day and booked a holiday with Michelle who went above and beyond to book our holiday making sure everything was perfect for us. Brilliant service. Thanks Vicki & Steve

All of the Mel's girls are brilliant. Nothing is a trouble to them. Hassle free holidays. They take care of everything, from booking your holiday to online checkins and more. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Went to Mels Travel in Ferryhill. On walking in i was met with a lot of friendly and smiling faces.. "hello... how are you" etc. The girls were very pleasant and made me feel welcome. I spoke with Michelle who was very friendly, helped me book a family holiday to Disney Paris, fantastic price and she sorted our airport parking, flights, hotel, park tickets, transfers and even got us a deal on the airport lounge! The day prior to the flight was a Sunday and we realised the flight times had changed ( we were not notified and neither was Mels!). Panick, it's the day before we fly and now our car parking, taxi transfer and airport lounge are all no good due to the flight time changes... spoke with Mels on their emergency number and they could not do enough for me! Service is 100%. They went out of their way to get everything sorted and we ended up having the best holiday ever. Thank you guys for all of your help and I will never book another holiday without speaking to you first! Just a note, Michelle (who i booked with) had heard about the issue and rang me to ensure it was all sorted, that shows how much they care. Things can sometimes go wrong, it's how you deal with them that makes the difference and these guys give 100% and genuinely care. Thank you so much!

Absolutely amazing service nothing is too much trouble. Easy to book with and always get back to you in no time. Follow the Facebook page for amazing offers and bargains.

Jordan was absolutely amazing at booking our dream holiday to Mexico. Extremely efficient and friendly girl and worked really hard to find us the best deal. Will definitely be returning to book with her!

Knew where we wanted to go just needed to speak to Maria and she took all the hassle out of it for us. She was so quick and efficient and came up with more than we could have hoped for and made some brilliant suggestions. I have been going to Maria for a number of years and I am so pleased she joined Mel’s team as this is local to me.
No matter what you are looking for I would recommend Mel’s travel their customer service is brilliant and I know if I need anything else before I travel they will be there to help.

I’ve always been the type to book online rather than going into the travel agents… however, Mel’s Travel and personally Lois (thank you) researches the best places for you to go but also makes it so hassle free by sorting Check in and airport transfers I will never book online again! Not only is it stress free but they usually beat the online prices, they have my business for life! Thank you all soo much but in particular Lois!

I have booked my last 4 holidays with her in the last year. Lois sorted my hen do out for 19 picky girls, she also picked the dream honeymoon for me and my husband, we didn’t have a clue what we wanted to do and came up with a dream cruise. It’s not about just booking and paying, Lois does all the background research into finding your perfect holiday, I would be on days/weeks to find what she does in the space of a few hours. Not only that she either matches or beats the price of what you find on the internet and you’re fully protected. Would not go anywhere else and recommend 100%.
