I have just finished a 8 month treatment with MHR clinic and wanted to give a honest review.
I initially wanted to explore my options to try and improve my hairline which has been receding for a while now. I thought my only option was a hair transplant and that is why I contacted the clinic to explore my suitability for a transplant.
After contacting the clinic, I attended the initial assessment and the process of hair loss due to DHT shrinking hair follicles was explained to me. I was then shown my hair using a magnifying camera. The assessment seemed pretty thorough and I was told that once hair follicles have died there's no getting them back and that only shrunken follicles can be revived and sometimes produce a couple of hairs from one follicle. I was shown an optimistic (in my opinion) line of where I could expect my hairline to grow back to over time. It was a very positive appointment and it was recommended that I try an 8 month plan of using Minoxidil F+ spray twice a day, taking two supplements every day (multivitamins and biotin) and a 40 minute low level Lazer therapy session at the clinic every two weeks for 8 months.
This cost a shade over £3200 for the 8 months of treatment.
After around 4 or 5 months I had a mid treatment assessment where I was asked how I thought it was going. I was honest and said I thought the improvement in my hair was modest but I realised that the treatment can take some time to get results.
I have now finished the 8 months and I think my hair looks very similar to before I started the treatment. I have noticed a few wispy hairs that may be new and very possibly a slight improvement in hair thickness but it's only very slight.
I have spoken to 3 other people who were also attending the clinic and they said the same as me. Essentially it may have had a very slight effect, but only very slight.
Now I am at the end of my treatment I have decided to carry on using the Minoxidil F+ as I have read and been told that once the Minoxidil is stopped. Any hair that has grown while using it will fall out again within a couple of months. I have however purchased the Minoxidil elsewhere which is exactly the same product but half the price of what MHR clinic sells it for.
Overall I do think I have wasted £3000 plus 2 and a half hours of my time every two weeks (driving to the clinic and sitting under a Lazer for 40mins) and if I knew 8 months ago what I know now. I would just purchase the Minoxidil online and just use that. I dare say I would see similar results.
My experience when attending the clinic itself was very good. The staff were extremely friendly and I can't fault that. I just think the very expensive Lazer therapy Is very hard to prove works effectively and if it is working, It only has a slight benefit.
Hopefully this review will help anyone looking at this sort of treatment to make an informed decision on whether or not to go ahead. I think if you are going to give it a go. Limit your expectations as it's likely to only give small improvements if any at all.

Started my hair loss treatment back in February. I was bald and, although I was skeptical at first, I was willing to give anything a go. Dean explained the process to me in a lot of detail and has offered support throughout. The results so far have been absolutely amazing and I am still pretty new into my treatment. The staff at the clinic are lovely - I'm very happy with the decision I made and advise anyone who is on the fence to go for it.

I entered the clinic feeling very low and self-conscious about my hair. I’ve struggled with alopecia areata for a few years, and although my hair would grow back, it gradually became thinner each time. Anna was incredibly welcoming and informative, explaining the reason behind my gradual decline in density and how my treatment plan would work. Halfway through my treatment, I can confidently say I’ve noticed a huge difference not only in my hair but also in my confidence, and I have MHR Clinic to thank for that. Natalie on the front desk is also amazing, and together they create a very welcoming, friendly, and warm environment, which is so important for people like me who find hair loss to be a daunting reality to face. Having suffered post menopausal hair thinning made worse by stress I was at a loss. As a woman who takes great pride in her appearance it’s really upsetting. Overpriced treatments, broken promises, and poor communication — extremely disappointed.

After spending over £4,000 on a package including herbal tablets, a topical spray, finasteride (available far cheaper elsewhere), and low-level laser therapy (whose benefits are highly questionable), I saw no material improvement whatsoever.

Throughout the process, I was led to believe meaningful hair growth was achievable — only to then be presented with a £7,000 hair transplant quote. This felt less like a genuine treatment pathway and more like an upsell funnel.

When I challenged the transplant cost — having already invested £4,000+ in what I can only describe as placebo-level treatments — all communication stopped entirely. No follow-up, no explanation, no accountability.

I would strongly caution anyone considering this clinic to research the actual cost and clinical evidence behind each treatment before committing. What was sold as a comprehensive solution delivered nothing measurable, and the aftercare once I raised concerns was non-existent.

Starting just over a year ago, I was very sceptical at first. But looking back now a year on, it was hands down the best decision I ever made. It took 3 months to start noticing a very slight change, but between 8-12 months is where it really started to thicken up and make a huge difference. Anna and Nat were fantastic throughout the entire experience always on hand for a chat and offering tea/coffee.

10/10 totally recommend

I’ve just completed my 8-month Low Level Laser Hair Loss treatment, and I’m so happy with the results. My hair is noticeably fuller, thicker, and looks much healthier overall.

Before I’d come to MHR another company had said o needed a transplant , this was where Annaand MHR changed the game

Anna took her time to check my hair with a very clever camera that we could both see and made a recommendation for 8 months nine evasive laser treatment, herbal tablets and a minoxidil and flintseride spray

Well 6 months in I’m noticing my hair is growing and thickening which is amazing

8 months in which is my course my hair looks better then when I was in my 20s

So I paid way less than a transplant with no evasive work

I would 💯 recommend MHR and Anna and Nathalie brilliant team who care about your results

This place is amazing. Having turned 30 I noticed my hair was thinning and I was losing confidence. Wearing hats. Not being able to style it. I thought the only option was a trip to turkey for a hair transplant. Not at all. Low level light therapy is what I choose to do on a 8 month course. The results speak for themselves. Over the moon. Can’t rate the team at MHR Clinic highly enough. Having tried lots of different treatments to address my thinning hair, the programme at MHR was the only thing that made a real difference. Currently coming towards the end of my 8 month course at MHR Clinic and the whole experience has been brilliant from start to finish.My advice is if you’re thinking about doing it, just do it, It will be the best decision you make and the results will speak for themselves. This company knows exactly what they’re talking about when it comes to hair loss. The staff are top notch, especially Dean, always there to answer questions, always has a smile on his face and puts you at ease. I would highly recommend MHR Clinic.

For anyone considering a hair transplant procedure I cannot recommend MHR highly enough; from the initial expression of interest appointment, to the pre-op consultation, the surgery itself and the aftercare received, all were of an exemplary standard. For those thinking of travelling abroad for what is in my opinion quite an invasive and extensive procedure, I would urge you to consider a UK based clinic, as whilst being more expensive, I believe the quality of care offered is much higher and well worth the money. I am ecstatic with the results so far and it has only been a couple of weeks. I would like to extend a special thank-you to Gordon Pepper who is a senior consultant at MHR and talked me through the procedure, costs involved, expected results and also took time to check on my progress. However all the staff involved within the practice are great, friendly, welcoming and supportive. MHR is proof that you do absolutely get what you pay for.

I’m now 4 weeks on from my FUE procedure with MHR and I just wanted to convey my thoughts on the whole experience. Overall, I’m just so pleased I opted to go with MHR. I looked at 3 providers in total, assessed the offering and the costs and I think there were several factors which swayed my decision to go with MHR. Above all I think it was the friendliness and professionalism of the staff at the firm at the end of the day. It’s such a big decision and I think one needs assuredness and utmost care, or the impression of in order to sway that decision. From my initial consultation with Anna in Leeds, I got a very professional and honest opinion of what it all entailed. After then deciding to go ahead with 2,500 grafts I had a further meeting with Dr Kunnure, a fantastic guy; calm, clear and sincere and just fantastic throughout. Procedure day was tough, 8 hours long approximately, and separated into three stages. Although I wouldn’t say the procedure is painful, it is very uncomfortable, do not underestimate it, I did and had 3,000 grafts in the end. However, this was overcome as much as is practically possible by the fantastic team in Knutsford; Gillian, Dr Kunnure, the Technician’s Nicky and Paula (so calm, patient during the graft implantations and with voices of Angels!), they made my day and I don’t think I could’ve wished for a better team of professionals to get me through it all. The guidance since has been exemplary, the swelling a few days post was intense, but it quickly subsided and now im fully back to normal with a crown that looks great. Thank you Team MHR! Marcus.

Just finished my first year of treatment and couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome.
This clinic, and Dean in particular, have always been very informative and flexible throughout the whole process.
Dean was very honest about what could and could not be expected - as he said, "there's no magic about what we do, its all science based, and we don't give anyone a 100% guarantee it will work for them"
His openness and honesty to answering my endless questions was very reassuring.

I didn't tell anyone I was having treatment until people began noticing the new short sprouting hairs and mentioning my hair was looking thicker.

I'm so delighted with the results, Ive signed up for another 12 months
