Thank you Consultants Mr Umeed and Tina kipioti, for all the excellent care given to me at the Midland eye clinic, also all the care given to me and advice by Debbie , Sarog, lin, Satyam, Zak ,Olivia , Owen and Jess, and any body else I have not mentioned. From beginning to end every person I came into contact with were so professional and kind , can’t thank them all enough for all their expertise.

Recently I had a chance to visit Midland Eye Clinic for my cataract procedure. I was quite nervous about my surgery but was impressed by the professionalism of the whole staff at this hospital. My surgery was performed by Mr Darren Ting …one of the top ophthalmologist in the country, he put me at ease with his calm and friendly manner. All of the nursing staff especially Carmen and Debbie and the gentleman at the reception,were extremely helpful and pleasant. Debbie, just before the surgery helped me a great deal to calm my nerves down and after the procedure Carmen , the discharge nurse made me a cup of coffee and explained everything about the aftercare in detail. I am still recovering and at the same time looking forward to getting my other eye done soon 😊

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable....my consultation put my mind at ease with a thorough examination and explanation of what the whole procedure would involve ..the nurses on the day of surgery where amazingly kind and professional as was Professor Shah .The results are mind blowing I have had no post op issues and enjoying seeing the world properly for the first time in years .I would highly recommend Midland Eye Clinic .

Right Eye cataract surgey in April 2025 followed by post surgery aftercare. referred to Midland Eye Specsavers opticians, vai NHS Choices programme. Excellent service in every way: pre-surgery, surgery itself, post-surgery aftercare: all excellent.

Got an appointment super quick. Very professional service and seems to have done the trick - cataract re-growing and removed from one eye. Apart from a few floaters (which was expected) my vision is vastly improved. Thanks.

The Staff were all so nice and made you feel at ease
I was a little nervous about the surgery but they put you at ease.
Afterwards I was amazed at how clear and bright everything was and now I can see so clearly.

Excellent from start to finish! Had blepharoplasty procedure and everyone was so friendly and professional - Mr Murray in particular very reassuring and kind!

The staff were really friendly and put me at ease from the start. The examinations were very thorough and made me feel confident that this was for me. Mr Barua made me feel that I was in safe hands and I had every confidence agreeing to the surgery and in fact had both eyes done together.
I had literally no discomfort at all from the moment it was done even when the anaesthetic had worn off. I couldn't be happier.

I've just had the most thorough eye check I've ever experienced in my life, Midland Eye had twice as many machines for testing my eyes than any other company I've used before. Although I seen many lovely members of staff my consultation with Professor Shah was exceptional and I'd highly recommend him for anyone considering Midland Eye in future.

Following my macular hole & cataract replacement lens combined surgery nearly 3 weeks ago I can honestly say that I am very impressed either way the quality of care, professionalism & friendliness experienced during my pre op, op & post surgery.
You’re greeted with a warm friendly smile & my surgeon is thorough & explains everything carefully.
I am very pleased with my results so far & my vision is returning really well.
I still have eye drops 4 times a day but it’s no inconvenience.
My advice is don’t watch video of operation before you have it done because you are not aware of anything during the surgery & I experienced no pain during or after.

After the initial consultation and thorough examination I proceeded with cataract removal and replacement prescription lenses after discussing options with staff. The surgery was carried out on one visit and the results amazing giving me 20/20 vision I cannot praise the staff enough enough for their care and professionalism

Right from my first appointment, Sarah Sidebotham has been absolutely wonderful - warm, reassuring, and incredibly attentive. She took the time to talk me through every step, always making sure I felt comfortable and understood what was going on. That kind of care really makes a difference.

He’s been thorough, thoughtful, and always happy to answer my questions with patience and clarity. He tailored the treatment to my needs, I have been to a number of opticians in my life and the care at Midland Eye is unmatched.

The whole team at Midland Eye has gone above and beyond, not just in terms of treatment, but in how they’ve looked after me as a person. I’ve felt listened to, cared for, safe and really well supported throughout.
