I have my Master’s in Health and Wellness, and have been teaching Group and Private classes in fitness and health for the past 14 years. I value my education, and have high expectations of the education I pursue. In comparing the various Yoga Trainings, The Kaivalya Yoga Method Academy is the one I chose. I am extremely happy with the learning platform, the mentor support, the weekly talks that Alanna provides on our Facebook page, as well as all the support from other students. The first 200HR Training is just the beginning into understanding the rich history, the philosophy and practice of Yoga.

I didn't get to complete my course even after I paid over a thousand dollars for it and now I have nothing to show for it. Then she wanted to charge hundreds of dollars more EACH month for an extension. Are you kidding me???!!! I have life, kids, and grad school. I have to juggle many things and need extra time. I shouldn't have to fork out more of my money for the SAME EXACT course that I have already paid in full for. Then like the course SOOOOO confusing and so much reading material that I couldn't find. I tried reaching out for help and NO ONE helped me! However I DID get bombarded with her emails and facebook messages trying to get me to sign up for more of her classes for, yes, MORE MONEY.

It has been a positive experience, and I am excited to continue my learning and growth over these next few months.

Initially, I was skeptical of an online course as I had never done one, but had a great experience! I learned a lot even though I'm not new to yoga. I loved learning at my own pace as in physical classes I tend to get bored when the pace is slow. It was wonderful to be able to move at my own pace and even speed up the recordings if I so wished. The feedback from the mentor was gentle, encouraging and precise feedback.

I love the knowledge that I have gained. However, many of the assessments are over things not covered in the classes. On video assessments you are graded on things that you haven’t been taught and being locked out of assignments waiting on one assessment to be graded for multiple days causes you to lose momentum. Yes, you can jump to another module but the flow and momentum is lost.
Mentors need to keep in mind that many students are recording in their phones therefore things look backwards. And mentors should take into account that things they want to grade you on aren’t covered until later in a different module.

I am really glad I chose this training. I am learning a lot as well as consolidating some existing knowledge. Alannah has so much knowledge and is a very generous teacher. I am really happy to be doing it online. I was a bit sceptical at first as I used to go to studio but the online training allows me to dive into my practice. It also gives me the opportunity to set up my home practice consistently.

A wonderful experience so far. There is a lot of info to retain but I am loving it. I get disappointed when I do not get a score above 90% for my tests though... anyway practice makes “perfect”. I know it is not a competition but I like understanding this body !!!

I am truly enjoying the teacher training as well as the virtual yoga courses.

I took a live 200 hr TT a few years ago which was also awesome, however, this course is better. I also love that I can do it when I want, re-view the modules I want to, etc.

Only complaint is the length of time it takes to get things graded. I do think this will get better as they recently hired more mentors.

I am very pleased with the training offered. I can't wait to be certified

So far this course has been absolutely wonderful and exceeding my expectations. Alanna's lectures are informative and enjoyable and well thought out . She covers just the right amount of material in one shot so that retention of the information is a breeze. The mentors are exceptional and give useful and relevant feedback whether you ace an exam or bomb it!! Looking forward to the rest of this course and future courses!

This course is great very informative and very thorough. You need to have time to study properly but the resources they offer are excellent. Totally recommend this course.

I'm so in love with the whole process and presentation of the Kaivalya Yoga Method. Alanna's vision has transformed lives of hundreds if not thousands of people... both thru yoga sessions and yoga teacher trainings. She's made it accessible, has true personality, and lives the yogic entrepreneurial life while sharing her blessing with others. I'm grateful for having come across her and her team's offerings and hope one day to be just as gifted and blessed as she to share my love for yoga with others in a profound way, integrating it in all facets of life. namaste.

Great content, presentation and personal reflection. I’m thrilled I signed up and am enjoying it tremendously. I’ve been teaching for many years and it’s so refreshing to continue learning with such a knowledgeable and accessible instructor.

I was skeptical about an online training course for yoga, and I worried I would pay for a program that wasn’t the right fit for me. I’m so glad I went for it. The mentors are there for you and manage to give amazing feedback, like they were in a class with you. There are a wide selection of classes to take along the way, which is perfect since yoga studios are closed or open with limited enrollment (COVID-19). You will learn so much I n this program that when it’s time to actually teach, you’ll ease right into classes feeling prepared.

I am still having trouble turning in my introductory video. I had difficulty in the beginning, reached out for assistance and received a curt, abrupt answer email stating if I had read the module 0 I would know how to submit my video. I attempted to submit as the person sent me a link, I do not know how I missed that link in module 0 but I must have or I would not have reached out. But when I tried to understand how to make my youtube account and thought I sent it in correctly but I received a message back that I turned in my youtube channel instead. I have not had the energy to try to figure this out.

Honestly, the content will help you to become a yoga teacher. However, one of the mentors, Andrew, is a nightmare to deal with when he grades the assignments. As an individual with a master's degree in human anatomy and physiology, it is beyond frustrating to get minute corrections that don't even make sense from an individual obviously less versed in the subject. In addition, the instructions for assignments are vague, and you'll get assignments returned to you with a zero grade because it wasn't formatted the way THEY wanted. Even though they do not give instructions regarding any formatting, etc. It's a waste of your time to do those assignments over and over, when they could simply give you those instructions the first time. As a college professor, this was super frustrating for me-if you are the teacher, make your instructions clear-if the assignments aren't the way you want them to be, it's YOUR fault. Other than those things, the content is fine, although the videos are overly long and could be more concise, or at least have more content for being as long as they are. This will help me get my RYT, but you may want to look somewhere else for your training.
