This has been a lesson...

I bought a dress for around £50. I tried to cancel minutes after purchasing, but they said it was impossible to cancel. After the item arrived, it was clear that their return policy was all part of the scam. The dress arrived and was the wrong size, not accurate to the photos and poor quality. They said they would offer a refund but did not pay for the return postage. They are legal to do this. However, I feel they are exploiting a loophole as they highlight that paying for the return back to China will cost the same, if not more, than the item itself. They did offer a partial refund but because the item was not as descibed I don't feel that this was enough.

This has been a lesson to check reviews and the return policy before buying anything online. Also, don't be fooled by the branding. Despite the name, it has nothing to do with London and they steal photos from other sites to miss-advertise products.

For future reference I will check out trust pilot before I make a purchase going forward. Ordered the supposed quality waterproof boots ready for the wet winter dog walks. Which took weeks to arrive. When they finally did arrive and I opened the package I was shocked at how flimsy and cheap they looked, nothing like they did on the pictures. However I thought I would gave them a try. I have wore them a handful of times only twice in the rain. The 1st time they were fine and I thought great, warm dry feet. The second time not so good. I may as well took the boots off and walked in my socks one of the boots were leaking so bad. I found an email address online and contacted customer service, after taking a couple of days each time to reply and them offering me a percentage discount off a future purchase, and said I can keep the boots or give them to a friend which I kept refusing. They eventually replied saying I had 14 days to return the item and that time has passed, but as a valued customer they will give me a percentage discount. I didn't even ask for a refund I just wanted to return them for a pair of none leaking boots. Surely any footwear item should last longer then no more than 5 wears, which were no longer than an hour, and only twice in the rain. So from this experience and rubbish quality boots. I will certainly not purchase anything from them again nor could I recommend them.

I wish I'd seen these reviews before I ordered from this awful Chinese company. I was drawn in by the name and the deceitful photography. I ordered the Alice Leroy "coat". Having seen the reviews too late I was prepared for the absolute rubbish that was delivered over 3 weeks later. If it seems too good to be true it usually is!

Not worth ONE star. Do not buy from this company. Product is appalling. I feel I’ve been totally scammed.

Absolutely appalling items and they are scammers layers fraudsters AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Boots advertised are mountain horse sturdy boots, what arrived was a bad copy! Would have cost half the price to return so ended up at a loss of a small refund ... DO NOT BUY if you want the item you see in the picture!!

Bought a pair of boots, they don't look anything like the picture on their website, utter rubbish quality and they do not reply to any of the emails or comments on their website. Firms like that should be not be allowed to trade. And I can't unsubscribe from their emails - appalling firm. Do not buy from them.

Chinese supplier using a name to deceive you in to thinking you are getting a quality product. Items described as cashmere with are in fact viscose. Very naughty, trading standards should have more power on the internet and fine sites like this.

Oh god, I wish, as I normally do that I had read the reviews on trust pilot, rather than the comments on the FB page. What a con and I fell for it. I imagined it was a London company but of course not! Returns are made impossible as suggested in other reviews. I should have realised when it took so long to get to me! The jacket I received is acceptable but not as pictured, the material is so light weight I doubt it would keep a flea warm! Avoid! Save your money and go to a charity shop 🤦‍♀️

Received item was not as shown or as expected. What I bought was a patterned polyester jumper. Looking at the photo it as a knitted item. When I received it it was thin, shapeless fabric with a printed pattern. It was definitely not worth the cost. I wish that I had seen these reviews prior to buying as I would not have made the purchase. A bad, bad, buying experience.

This is a scam. Although it’s got a London name, the goods come from China. You cannot easily return them and the quality is terrible

This company do not make it clear that they are a china based company , which as it has London in the website title , you can be forgiven for thinking its a British based company. they make it very hard to return products (at your own cost), and do offer a 20%discount to keep their cheap clothes that don't fit. avoid at all costs.

I have unfortunately fell victim to the same ploy… Moda-London website gives of a great quality vibe but read the returns etc policy, I bought two pairs of boots at size 39 which I always buy but these ones were way too tight and small, the zip is situated at the back of the boots but I couldn’t pull it up as not enough give “I’m a 5.5 size so I buy a 6 to give a little extra space’ the zip is cheap quality with no exertion strength and over all the boots are badly & cheaply made💭 definitely a false advertising company and poor Chinese quality items… I’m now stuck with them as the cost is to the consumer to send them back to “China” nothing to do with London, feel duped and a fool for parting with my hard earned cash when I don’t earn a lot as it is… so an expensive not just humiliating learning curve to swallow👍🏻 please don’t fall victim to this as I have..

Would have preferred to not have given any stars at all! Shoddy, tatty pair of boots arrived after weeks of waiting. They were so small that only a small child could have got their feet in them! Have contacted the Disputes department of my bank for them to process. AVOID at all costs - will never make an expensive mistake like this again

This is a total scam.
It's not moda- London and it's not moda in pelle.
It's a Chinese company and they are scam artists.
The boots were awful and poor quality.
The coat was also really poor quality.

We thought the company was something else and were very upset.
Avoid.

Waited for forever to receive the nastiest pair of boots I've ever seen. Awful quality, wrong size,wrong colour & trying to contact them is a joke! I'd get a quicker response from ET. Why are these people still trading?
I would give them 0 stars if possible.

Stay away from moda-london.com. It's a scam website based in China. They send you cheap rubbish from China that takes weeks to arrive. Once you see how bad it it they make it difficult to send back as they want you to do it at your own cost and get to them in a matter of days to maybe issue a part refund! It's a huge scam!
I had to go to my credit card company to complain and got a full refund without having to return the item.
