Slow website, order went through twice

Website was incredibly slow. when it eventually went through checkout, payment went through twice, two parcels got sent out and one of them got sent to my old address

No response from customer services by email or the website ticketing system

FULL DISCLOSURE: with regards to your feedback (along with a few others) on our site being slow during peak times – we’ve now successfully overhauled our infrastructure.

Since running our final WWE DVD clearance sale we’ve had absolutely unprecedented traffic to the site which has caused a lot of strain overall as long as other issues such as bugs raise their heads! With this overhaul the following updates and improvements have been made:

1. Since Morethisway.co.uk sits at the centre of our business and is linked to 25+ other 3rd party marketplaces where we sell our products (Amazon, Ebay, Onbuy, Etsy, Tiktok Shop etc etc) it encompasses a much wider platform than isn’t just a standalone ecommerce store. We’ve now “offloaded” a ton of this infrastructure away from Morethisway.co.uk so that it can run independently to avoid bottlenecks in load times etc.
2. I’ve increased our server capacities to meet peak demands (yet again).
3. We’ve now made an array of other improvements to the site including Improved login / new account registration, guest checkout capabilities, a better basket and stepped checkout system so that it makes the process a lot easier and more reliable to use.

We hope that now with all of the new changes and upgrades now in place you’d be willing to give us another try… We know it wasn’t a good experience but in an effort to consistently improve we’ve taken your comments very seriously and we just hope that moving forward you’ll consider us again.

Very slow website

VERY slow site, took half an hour to go through checkout

Due to the site issues, my order ended up going through twice, got charged twice and the duplicate order got sent to my old address.

Have sent a ticket and an email to customer service but have yet to receive a response.

Would recommend if the site can speed up a bit

Just received the package of DVDs from…

Update 2: 17/10
They write here that I must write what I want. If I want to get the damaged DVDs refunded, I have to send them an email. I have sent so many emails now and they have not responded to one of them or refunded my money. STAY FAR AWAY FROM MORETHISWAY!!!
Scammer alert

Update 1: It is now 7 days since Morethisway wrote that they would send some new DVDs or refund my money. Nothing has happened and they have not responded to my messages either. STAY AWAY FROM morethisway!!!!

Just received the package of DVDs from you.

1. Then you sent 2 of the same DVD that I wrote to you immediately that you didn't have to. Your website is so incredibly slow that it just added the same DVD twice before I paid for it. I wrote that you should refund my money for it or send another one at the same price. You have still not responded to my email and just sent my order even though several days passed before it was sent.

2. But clearly the biggest problem is that you have packed the films so badly that they have broken inside the DVD boxes. When I take one of the DVDs in my hand I can hear plastic and the DVD disc moving back and forth. I want my money refunded for this.

3. 2 of the DVDs which were supposed to be completely closed with transparent plastic were torn in half as if someone had tried to open them.

You are the biggest scammers I have ever ordered from and should have known something was wrong since your website is so slow.

Update 13/12: Daniel, you have completely ignored us for just over two months. You have accused us of being scammers, when it is you who has behaved disgracefully. You have received the refund from us and have not honoured the request for payment of the difference, and ignored our emails. We are very disappointed. Please do not place any orders with us in future, we do not want your custom.

Update 17/10: Hi Daniel, in order to refund you we have had to refund the full amount of your order and request the difference via PayPal. We have included the shipping fee with this refund. We have done this in good faith despite your accusations of us being scammers, which we take great offence to.

It was never the case that there would be any chance that you would not receive either a refund or have the DVDs damaged in transit reshipped to you, but rather it was a case of which option you preferred and letting us know.

We have been fair and communicative the entire time, and have remained cordial with you despite your completely unfounded and repeated public comments accusing us of being scammers.

Despite our replies to you via email and on Trustpilot in response to your complaints, you seem to have leaped to conclusions when you have not had immediate replies to your emails, and taken to Trustpilot in the meantime to vent your frustrations.

Hopefully you will honour the order by accepting the request for payment for the order and items that you have received in good condition. If you do not do that, then you will have essentially publicly been shown to have stolen from us, and it would be you who is the scammer. We hope that you honour the request for payment for the items that you have received. Please do.

Update 11/10: We offered you the choice of either a refund or a replacement. Once you've selected your preferred option, we'll then be able to proceed. Please email us to let us know how you'd like to move forward.

While technical issues can occasionally cause delays, we always recommend double-checking the basket and total before completing payment. As for the condition of the DVDs, we are truly sorry they arrived damaged. While we take great care to package our items securely, it seems that damage may have occurred during transit. We ship both across the UK and internationally without frequent issues, but clearly, this time something went wrong. We had previously reached out to offer replacements for the damaged items and would be happy to arrange either replacements or a refund, depending on your preference.

We sincerely apologise if any part of this experience led to concerns about our integrity. Please rest assured that we will either refund or replace the items as promised, and we hope this will resolve the matter to your satisfaction.

No refund or replacement for my order …

No refund or replacement for my order !

problem with ordering with blurays received broken I contacted them a first time and I got a response then as soon as I sent them the photos no more response. I contacted them 4 more times and still no more. They pretend not to answer me anymore so as not to resolve the problem a shame.

Édit : after my last email [23 august 2024] I have a response from them. They ask me for new photos. Then now 3 days later they don't answer again. I will make a PayPal claim shortly

Edit: 9 septembre : i receive partial refund thanks but I received too little reimbursement for the delivery costs that I had paid very dearly.

Sorry for the items that arrived damaged.

We did ask for photos of the damage, and received photos from you, but they were in an unreadable format as we explained, which is why we asked for you to send the photos again but in a different format. It is less than 3 days since you sent that email, and we have in fact replied in less than 48 hours advising that we have processed a refund for the damaged items as well as a discount on the shipping fee.
