Purchasing a home for the first time is a very overwhelming experience. Morty made it seamless and worked hand in hand with my real estate agent from Redfin.

Morty set me up with a mortgage from a reputable lender that I trust. I also appreciated the reminders that the Morty team sent me to keep the process on track. Before we had even closed on my home, I had already recommended Morty to my coworkers.

I’m currently writing this review from the back deck of my new home and love my new place.

Despite being relatively new and unheard of, after checking with many other home loan options, Morty had the best rate and lowest loan costs. I’d still recommend checking rates across national lenders, local banks, credit unions, and agents, but my personal experience with Morty was great. Fast and easy estimate along with responsive customer service throughout entire closing process. Strangely, none of the other lenders had heard of yet, but if their rates and service stay this good, that will change soon enough. Would definitely check them out if looking for a home loan.

Our mortgage was not approved until the day before closing. Requests for financial information were provided promptly by us, followed by additional requests upon additional requests all of which could have been provided up front, IMO.

The location of your loan officers on the west coast resulted in a shortened window from my east coast location that exacerbated the delays with an added day in between.

Your online system worked OK and people seem knowledgeable but seemed to readily accept delays and numerous, sometimes redundant, requests for information all of which resulted in a poor experience by us who should be your highest priority, your customer. No sense of urgency to meet our needs and apologists for the shortcomings of Morty inner workings.

Our title agent expressed similar poor experience too.

The two employees I dealt with at Morty, Derek and Keegan, always provided timely and accurate guidance. The entire process was smooth and there were no problems whatsoever. Their website was easy to navigate and employees on their website always responded via chat within a few minutes to any question I had. I would recommend Morty to anyone seeking a home loan.

The Morty team was great to work with. Especially, I want to express my gratitude to Derek, who gave me emotional support when our mortgage process faced some issues. The Morty gave me a fantastic rate, and we were able to close in 30 days even though we had some problem during the process. They are easy to communicate with. you can get an answer in 5 min or so. I really recommend Morty to anyone who look to purchase a home!

Morty was new to me. The initial communications went through a couple of specialists. It was very different from the traditional one-person mortgage service that I had experienced before, so I felt a bit confused at first. Then I had the chance to work with Paige Hawley, a Morty Mortgage Advisor. Paige was very patient and understanding, honest and reliable, diligent and responsive as well as professional and pleasant. Smooth, easy, straightforward and transparent; Wading through the mortgage process with multiple vendors, I was instantly enamored with Morty and its online platform. Within moments I was given clear and understandable options with the ability to request a rate lock - all other options that were being pursued became instantly irrelevant. After dealing with the intentional vagueness and opacity of other companies the ease and honest transparency made me an evangelist for Morty. For highly qualified buyers this is the way to go. The Morty team was great to work with during my recent "out of state" home purchase. At the outset of the process, they helped me to zero in on a combination of rate and points/lender credits that saved me significant $ at closing. Their process is easy to follow. It keeps all requirements on a timeline to move you to closing, so you know where you stand at all times and you know what you need to provide to keep on track. Morty assigned a team of individuals, each with a specific role to play to go through the entire process. They were very responsive to any and all questions I had. Through most of the process, communication was through e-mail and their internal messaging system. I didn't actually speak to anyone on the team until the week before closing; even then, I initiated the call.
My situation was a bit complicated, but the Morty team handled everything in stride and in a very friendly and professional manner.
I have secured a number of mortgages over my lifetime, all with a very traditional approach with a local lender. In my opinion, the Morty process was better! I knew where I stood with the transaction all the time. Again, this was a great experience! If you need a mortgage, Morty is your team!

Went into the mortgage process blind and open to any and all possibilities. Through Lending Tree I was assigned the Morty team and couldn't have been happier! The folks at Morty were helpful in securing a mortgage for our first home purchase. They served as a broker, giving us multiple options in terms of lenders with different terms and rates. They were responsive when we had questions, and were clear with what they needed.

We went with Morty because of their competitive rate and good reviews. Communication with Nick and his team has been very smooth. The lender they worked with was slower and not as efficient, but Morty helped us push through and closed in time.

Working with Morty was great. I was able to secure a fantastic 30-year rate at the start of the process which is why I went with Morty in the first place. At every step of the process, they were prompt with responding to my questions and getting back to me in a timely manner. For someone buying their home for the first time, I would highly recommend.

If I could give one complaint, it would be the lender they connected us to. The lender sat on the appraisal report for a month and then flagged something as we were approaching closing day. I don't think this is Morty's fault but it caused an unnecessary crunch when we could have had a lot more time to resolve.

Morty was absolutely amazing at every step. They were able in record time to provide me with a very competitive rate and the follow-through team (Derek and Keegan) provided incredible transparency and patience at every step. They were very responsive whenever I needed help, and the platform to track progress, tasks and exchange documents is extremely friendly and very helpful. I am convinced that thanks to Morty I was able to close 3 weeks earlier than the attorneys believed possible and with a more competitive rate.

This is my first time buying a home. When I was signing papers at closing, my lawyer and her assistant kept on commenting on how professional and well organized Morty team is. They say most broker you don’t hear from them, but Kegan was on task the whole time. They were very impressed. I chose Morty because how easy and fast it is to view rates, change my plan and upload paper work on the website. I’m a visual person. Being able to see is so much better than just hearing people on the phone

What initially hooked me with Morty were their competitive rates. What kept me with them was the technology and unbelievably fantastic team.
First, the ability to pull Pre-Approval letters within minutes was instrumental, especially in this insanely competitive housing market where a house listing could last as little as 2 days! (It happened)
And of course the entire crazy process of getting the final approval and closing, they were just the best.
Would recommend Morty to anyone looking to purchase a home in any start they currently provide service.
