Delivered intact but months late and more expensive
The good:
- Our things arrived, intact, and accounted for.
The bad:
- The estimate was 2 - 4 months. It arrived in 6.
- We were charged 10% higher in the end than our initial contract because we were having the things shipped to a street that was deemed too narrow.
I recognize things like this can happen however the lack of transparency when discussing this ahead of time and lack of sympathy (simply "..but the contract says so..") when asking about why this was happening during made for truly a poor experience.
Would not recommend.
The worst experience imaginable
From beginning to end this entire experience was a disaster. They destroyed an irreplaceable light sculpture before it even left my house even though I provided them with packing instructions. Nearly every piece of furniture I entrusted them to pack was destroyed or severely damaged including an Edo period Tansu chest. It too them over nine weeks to deliver my shipment from the Netherlands to France which is less than a days drive. It wasn’t until I threatened legal action that they finally released my shipment which in all took over five months. My bed and headboard arrived covered in mold and dirt and it took them five weeks to send someone to pick it up. The kicker? Their salesperson said I should pay more for their service because « you have nice things and we know how to shop nice things ». When I asked for a refund of $6,000 because I didn’t think it was fair that I had to pay the shipping costs for them to destroy my property they offered me $500. Sadly I was taken in by this very sleezy operation.
Everything was perfect
Everything was perfect! I shipped a piece of furniture from the US to France with Transparent International earlier this year. I compared prices of other companies beforehand and Transparent's offer was more than reasonable. The communication with both the sales guy, Anthony, and the back office, Sandy, was quick and efficient. They were able to pick up the item on very short notice, they kept me informed as the shipment progressed and my furniture arrived yesterday in perfect condition. Overall, a completely positive experience. Highly recommended.
Worst company to deal with they…
Worst company to deal with they promised shipping in 45 days to 60 day but my shipment took 6 months plus the charge me three time more than original agreement please also read the excluding clause and D/O ( delivered order ) I had paid more the original contract amount
Beware of the company
WORST Moving company i have used
WORST Moving company i have used. arrived at 7 pm instead of 12 PM, didnt bring tools, short staffed (did half of it myself), wrong boxes, lost screws, stained walls and over charge every service. Charging outrageous rates for insurance until the delivery is done, they have been delaying the delivery for 2 months now. DO NOT USE

I’d like to recommend Transparent to anyone moving to the Italy. They were very CLEAR about the whole process. I was so impressed with my first move with them that I also utilized their services to relocate some items to my air bnb in Mexico. I was surprised that they made that process simple as well. I’m very grateful for all their help. Thank you James and Adam.
California to London
The initial contact was very information and knowledgeable. The coordinator was able to answer our questions as they came up and kept us up-to-date. Our shipment arrived sooner than originally estimated which was great. And their partner is London was able to deliver it within a week of receiving from customs. All items arrived undamaged.
Transparent was great, not so much their partners in Europe
I relocated from New York to Germany with Transparent. They picked up ~40 boxes from furniture storage, their team was great and efficient and helped me pack more delicate items. They told me not to expect my items to be shipped in less than 3 months when I signed, but only 39 days after my items were already in Rotterdam.
Unfortunately, they subcontracted the delivery to Germany to a Dutch moving company that was really disorganized. They took months to arrange a delivery slot for me, and they attempted a "surprise delivery" at the end of July when I was away, 3 days after telling me to expect it for the end of August. The final delivery itself was fast and professional.
In the end, I got all my items. Only a single Tupperware was broken, while I had many more fragile and valuable items.
Transparent was recommended by a colleague that did a similar relocation, and also liked them. They are professional and good value for the money, but you may want to ask them which company will have to do the final delivery.

From the first call to the last call everyone was great. Our shipment of goods arrived from Arizona to Sweden in just under the time they quoted. I was pleased because they didn't overpromise and let me down, I felt that they properly set the timeline and things were delivered within the appropriate time. Nothing broken and everything made it. Great job on a move like that!

They were very efficient throughout the process. Packers on time and helpful. U.K. agents also very well organised. They dealt with the tax issues effectively and the delivery of our goods went smoothly.
Our move from New York to Paris
We chose Transparent International Movers for our move from New York to Paris. Communication was smooth. The staff was always available to discuss the details of the move. The movers did a great and clean job with our furniture, art, ...The storage was uneventful. The shipment to Europe was done in a timely fashion. I highly recommend Transparent International for your move.
Germany relocation
Transparent moved my partner and I to Germany recently and I couldn't recommend them more. They were upbeat, professional, fair, effective, meticulous and careful. Kyle and his crew made the move an absolute breeze and they were very upfront and communicative with us throughout the entire process. Moving internationally is never easy but Transparency brought us peace of mind that our stuff was being handled by experienced professionals. The team absolutely killed it and we would use them again in a heartbeat.
Relocation to Puerto Rico
We contracted Transparent to relocate my senior mom from NY to Puerto Rico. Initially everything went well. Pickup was great and seamless. Communication with my Agent Jacob Hobson was nothing short of amazing. Then the issue arose when cargo arrived in San Juan's shipyard. Although Jacob was keeping me abreast of transit time, the local company Transparent contracted dropped the ball, causing me unwanted charges by way of purchasing new flights due to the delay in delivery. I ended up incurring extra charge of $1300 in flights not including car rental fees. All this after already spening$4,000.00 to ship items. Finally fast forward to delivery.. 5 items arrive broken and although insurance was obtained (there was a HUGE miscommunication in listing the items for insurance-information was NOT given to my 84 yr old mother correctly which caused her to have a huge financial lost as the insurance ended up not covering at the very least 1 item yet was seamless. The local delivery company dropped the ball passing blame on Transparent, however Jacob had me involved in every communication in good faith. After much back and forth Jacob agreed to speak to the hire ups to see if we can be compensated for extra unwarranted expenses that caused a huge hardship especially with the broken items needing to be replaced. I've furnished the extra flight charges incurred for their records, and Jacob has been an amazing support system. He quickly escalated this issue to his supervisor Sebastian who is working diligently to come to a fair resolution for my senior mom. Although my experience has been stressful and costly, I am thankful for Transparents constant communication and understanding. We live in a world where a lot of businesses only care about gaining a dollar. Not the case here- We fortunately have been blessed to deal with LIVE PEOPLE who actually care. I'm hoping to close this out completely sooner rather than later noting that we would definitely use Transparent again
overseas shipping
Quick response. Detailed phone conversation and multiple comprehensive email follow-ups. Door to door service includes local contacts for pick-up and delivery. Due to personal reasons I had to cancel the shipment, but company representatives were understanding and helpful with no problems. I would use them again.
Moved from NY to Panama - Worse Service - Hidden fees.
Moved from NY, USA to Panama City, Panama. Anthony was the best sales person, he was very active and supportive BUT:
- I got an initial quotation door to door, they requested me to decrease the amount of items to improve the price, I sold most of my furniture and got a fair price.
For my surprise, before they shipped my container to Panama they requested my additional 30% because the volume was higher than expected. That's not all, in Panama I had to pay all port fees and more, another 10% that it was originally included....worse service ever. If you decide to hire them calculate to spend 50% more than the original quotation.
Transparent International's Shady Business Practices
I recently had the displeasure of using Transparent International for my shipment needs from LA to Sydney Australia, and I must say it was a complete disaster from start to finish.
I initially provided them with the cubic footage of my goods, as requested, and was quoted a price of $5,000 for door-to-door service by one of their representatives. However, upon paying the deposit, I received a quote that was only valid for goods up to half the volume I had provided. When I tried to resolve this issue, they were completely unhelpful and said they couldn't assist me because it had switched departments. To add insult to injury, they then had the audacity to try and charge me an additional $6,000 for exceeding the allowed cubic footage. After some negotiation, they "generously" lowered the price to $7,000, which was still an outrageous amount.
To try and reduce the costs, I opted to have my goods delivered and dropped off at a CFS instead of being unpacked, which they said would lower the charge by $100. But of course, they didn't even follow through on this promise.
As if that wasn't bad enough, I was also charged an additional $1,800 by their overseas agent, Conroy removals, for a marked-up Australian Customs quarantine invoice, which was supposed to be paid directly to AQIS according to the terms and conditions. This was just another example of their shady business practices.
And to top it all off, it took nearly 5 months to finally receive my goods. When they finally arrived, they completely disregarded the delivery time that was confirmed for 8:30 am – 9 am and dropped off the items at 6 am, before the guys who were there to sign it in and check for damages could even arrive. As expected, a few boxes and edges of furniture were damaged, but at this point, I was so over the entire experience that I decided to cut my losses and move on.
As someone who has worked in the freight industry for over 10 years, I can confidently say that this was the worst experience I have ever seen. Save yourself the headache and avoid Transparent International at all costs.

They helped me with the process, i had to do nothing just watch, they pack and unpack all my belonging (1 entire apt) from point A to point B, no regrets at all

After 2 months
After 2 months, we received the move and 20% of the stuff we send, damage or broken. A nightmare at its best. DO NOT CONTRACT THIS COMPANY, you will regret not seeing these reviews for this company. Was suppost to be around 7K in all shipping door to door, and I end up paying around 22 thousand dollars without counting, lets,see how the insurance will give us a headake to pay me now...smh
