Returned an item in its original…

Returned an item in its original packing to the Park Royal Office because the plumber did not turn up to install. They are refusing to refund because the box has transparent tape on it which was used to put the address on. Complete scam. The first person said the box was damaged, which was ok because it was insured when sent by Hermes, the second person claims it is not saleable because of the transparent tape on the box. Gave me a number for a internet team who asked me to go back to the depot, basically a run around. The person at the internet team put the phone down whilst I was explaining the problem. AVOID.

I'm very pleased with the service…

I'm very pleased with the service offered by Mr central heating. I have ordered an item at 10 pm, I received a phone call the nect day at 8 am that the item was ready for collection. I used the collection in store option (Erith branch). I was pleasently surprised by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. The item I bought was sealed and worked charm when installed. I was not aware of the shop and will consider future purchases there.

Took money but didn’t have stock

I ordered and paid for goods from mr central heating and got an email from them saying it’s not coming till next year!!
I have been trying to get a refund for a great length of time but can’t get a response from their contact page. Nightmare firm!!

Worst experience in terms of delivery…

Worst experience in terms of delivery EVER. I rarely put down negative reviews but currently waiting on 3rd try for delivery for which I had to pay extra cause the driver never reads the note left on the door or has tried to pick up the phone even after making a request. Total nightmare even though first time I had a great experience, I hope I never have to use Mr Central Heating ever.

Excellent customer service

Ordered a boiler, tank and the wrong flue. I took the flue back to Croydon branch late on a Saturday so it was too late to get a refund for an internet purchase. I purchase the correct flue and received the refund on Monday after a call confirming the refund had gone through. Very professional and friendly service.

Missing parts

Job due to be completed today (Wednesday) but parts missing from the delivery on Monday. Telephoned on Monday to be told the parts would arrive by 1pm Tuesday. Called again
twice on Tuesday. First time I was told they would be resent if they didn't arrive. The didn't so called back be told that I would have to pay postage to return second set of parts. I advised on both days the job was nearly complete. Wednesday, still no parts. This will leave us with no heating in the lounge with a 20 month old. And there's no way of knowing when we can get the plumber back at the moment. Terrible service.

Pushing treacle up hill.

I run a successful building company working predominately in London. Fully booked by word of mouth. I was recently asked to do a family job in Portsmouth and thought I would use the local Mrcentralheating. Ordered £345 materials (3m lengths of pipe) but still had to pay for delivery. I thought it would be next day delivery but apparently that is not possible (how do toolstation, plumfix or selco manage). Told delivery would be in 3 days and could get a time slot if I called early that day.
Telephone at 8am and informed would be with me within the hour. My plumber was dispatch to site. Telephoned at 9.30 "he's nearly there". Telephone 11am "won't be long now". Tried to call a further 11 yes 11 times but no one answered so i emailed at 12.30 to cancel order and got my first and only telephone call from the company to say he's on his way. I informed caller I had cancelled. He eventually arrived but i have seized to support unreliable companies who have no integrity or respect for their customers. The company is (according to google maps) 2miles or 6 minutes away.
Took 3 day for refund and even then they still charged for delivery.
Having experience poor service constantly and inexplicably blamed on covid I now refuse to support poor service.
The prices may appear low but factor in delivery and there are better deals out there.

Missing item sorted, no fuss

Placed an order for a bulk pack of fittings and some pipe. The 10mm pipe was missing and my person signing wasn't familiar with the products enough to check order.
I tried to get through on a Saturday morning but it was constantly engaged. So I had a look at the reviews and feared the worse.
First time of trying on the Monday I got through and informed them what was missing. First thing Tuesday it was delivered. That is great customer service.

Try getting a refund on unused goods appaling

Bought a ideal halo online from them as all the online info said it was compaterble with my boiler even emailed mr central heating to check but no reply .Opened the box and it became clear the boiler interface had a different plug on it so so closed the box and rung returns only to be told because the box seal was broken no returns accepted.Shocking customer service, waste of time having a returns policy

Worst people to deal with

I am very unhappy with the way I was dealt with today at Croydon store.we purchased a vaillant boiler ecotech plus 835 and as it was a wrong one I picked up ,I went back to the store to exchange and they refused. I was told that due to the packaging being loose they can't exchange it ..very poor customer service I must say..I requested them that as my gas pipe is very old and won't be compatible with such a 35KW boiler it's of no use to me and if I can have a lower wattage, he refused.
I will never recommend Mr Central heating to any family or friend as they cheat people and take advantage of them.
It's an expensive boiler that I can't use and is of no use to me..I will have to purchase a new one now but I will definitely not buy that of them..worst store and worst customer service ever received..They should be awarded with the worst supplier award.

Shocking customer service!

I purchased a combination copper cylinder. The water cylinder that arrived was a direct copper cylinder, not the combination one that I had ordered. My plumber had a wasted two hour round trip as a result of this error. The manager of the Park Royal branch insinuated that it was my fault because I signed for the item on delivery and “did not check that it was the right one”. I’m not a plumber and water cylinders all look the same to me so I thought this comment was very insensitive. I had to pretty much beg for the £10 postage to be refunded because it was not something that was offered to me in the first instance. Really disappointed and not a very pleasant company to deal with. Their customer service requires a lot of work! The reason for my 1 star review is due to the fact that the company did not want to take any responsibility for this error and just blamed me for signing for the item when I just trusted in good faith that the company would have sent the correct item to me.

Good at selling you stuff....but unresponsive once there’s a fault

Good at selling you stuff...but try getting a reply from them when the product has gone wrong 2 months later
Save yourself the trouble and go to a traditional plumbers merchants who have a counter and you can walk in and say “you sold me this 2 months ago and it’s faulty” and they say “no problem, we’ll exchange it for a new one”. Simples.

100% positive experience

Purchased an Ideal boiler and unvented cylinder though was concerned about the recent poor reviews. Ordered in the evening, received a call the next day advising delivery would be the following day. Arrived next day before midday. Absolutely delighted with the service. Saved £300 compared to trade price at the local supplier where I have an account!

Terrible communication

I ordered a part that I then did not need. I asked to return it. The phone line was never answered and it took 4 emails to get them to respond to me. I explained I had not even opened the packet - another 4 emails and pictures, sent twice, of the unopened packet and now I'm being totally ignored!!!!

Poor customer service lack of empathy and fairness

Issue with order which I let slide which cost me around 15pound as wrong in insulation delivered no problem. But the main issue I had was ordered quite a few column rads delivered all fine just a issue with one slight paint issue, as a laid back in individual I let this slide was just going touch up. But upon filling the system noticed a pin hole in the radiator so was of no use. So emailed to advise the above only to be told that they don't accept liability as I should of checked the rad over, maybe my fault for being so lenient and not complaining but that is not me. But basically from what I understand if you have any issues with any products which are not visible mr central heating will wash it's hands of the issues. I find this quite disappointing as spent quite alot of money over the last 2 weeks I'm unlikely to use this company again. Lack of empathy and compassion and fairness towards customers which are quite reasonable even when orders not correct and issues with. So my advise would be to complain complain complain about every tiny little minor detail the moment you spot a issue out the box or you may end up like myself. But hope its visable or you will be out of pocket.

Delivered boiler without radiators

Delivered boiler without radiators. I had arranged 3 men to get the job completed on the day. I still have to pay them. Mr Central Heating rolled out the usual sorry we can deliver them Monday now that we have messed your order up. So pay the guys again on Monday. This was the show area of a 147 apartment block we are starting and had to be finished before viewing by client Monday. I ordered them last Monday also so I don't even know why it took 4 days to deliver in the first place.
The order was 2k per apartment so that's £292,000.00 worth of order MR CH wont be getting from me.

It was only 9am when they have realised the mistake but couldn't be bothered to rush someone up to us with the radiator's. We could have worked to get it done before Monday this way.

Avoid the Erith branch at all costs

Avoid the Erith branch at all costs. I had to return an item as the product did not look like it did on their website. Staff were extremely rude and charged me £20 to be able to return the item! This £20 fee to be able to return the item was not stated on the receipt nor was it stated by the tills. Absolutely shambolic.
