Music Teachers is a really excellent platform for bringing teachers and students together. In my experience, Alex, Helen and James are warm and friendly, very efficient, and enthusiastic about making it work for everyone. Queries are answered promptly and help is always at hand. They run a super smooth ship and I am very happy to be on board. A pleasure to work with, I recommend Music Teachers wholeheartedly.

Working with musicteachers.co.uk has been a pleasure. They have great technical support for teachers and students, an excellent online teaching platform, helpful staff and an easy to follow website. They have made the administration side of teaching music so much easier for me.

Got a refund due to a teacher no longer able to give lesons. The refund was promptly actioned. The service, teachers and lessons were excellent and run very smoothly.

MusicTeachers is run by a very friendly, responsive team who helped me fully in the set up process (which involves getting a DBS check to ensure all students are safe when learning with their teachers), helping choose and edit the right photos and profile text to stand out, in addition to answering any queries I have had quickly and even helping meet with students before their first lesson with me, to ensure they are technically able to do so for online lessons.

The platform is super easy to use, for messaging pupils, setting up lessons and seeing earnings. There is an online classroom too (though you're also free to use another platform like Google meet if you wish). They charge quite a high commission to teachers on lessons taught (which reduces the more hours you have taught on the platform), which at first put me off as having been teaching for over 15 years, I do have students from other platforms where I pay for a premium advert but then keep all earnings; however their investment in advertising and attention to a quality student experience most definitely shows and sets them apart from other platforms in a big way, as I have had so many new students from them in a very short period of time that I am about to have to place an advisory that I have only limited availability left!! All students who have joined me through the site are a joy to teach and I fully believe therefore that the commission paid is a worthy business expense, as I wouldn't have been able to help those students without MusicTeachers and I will definitely be remaining a teacher on their site. I recommend them wholeheartedly to other music teachers, whether you teach online or in-person and for students it's a fantastic platform as you can search through multiple profiles easily and find the right teacher for you.

As a teacher using an online platform I look at 3 main criteria: functionality, ease of use (student and teacher) and support. MusicTeachers provide these to a high standard.
If the business side is considered, the payment system, price editing and access to relevant data works very well and promptly.
The staff at MusicTeachers are personable, very efficient and are a credit to the platform.
You might have guessed reading this, I'm a fan! I do not hesitate in recommending this platform to any teacher wanting to develop their online presence and supporting students in a global market

James at MusicTeachers was amazing this morning. His patience over a problem I had has encouraged me to write a review straight away. I've only just started with Music Teachers. I had a problem with not being able to hear the teacher's( Sophia) piano playing. Sophia asked James to help me. He was prompt. It turns out that my Asus laptop sound settings needed adjusting. Feeling slightly guilty as I wasted a lot of James time as I realised only after 45 mins that I hadn't actually registered my laptop when bought in July 24. Once I registered James was able to help out on the settings. I'm impressed by his patience. I'm truly grateful for the help and the manner in which he gave it. I've also learned a few technical things aswell. Thanks James and I wish the company all the best.

I just wanted to write and say a big thank you for this platform! It's completely changed my life: I am now a full-time self-employed musician - my dream has come true! I quit my cafe job in August to teach singing from the comfort of my own home during the week, and still get to do my gig work on weekends.
I love teaching so much, I've truly found my purpose and calling in life and I love every single day of my life - I no longer get Sunday Scaries, I get so excited Sunday evenings knowing I get to teach the next day. It's only been a few months but I've got so many students already, and they're all amazing - they're making so much progress and I'm so honoured to be able to help them find and develop their unique voices and build confidence through singing and beyond. All the while not having to waste time doing the admin of chasing invoices etc as you guys handle all of that for me!

The website itself is so so easy to use, and I really appreciate the speedy payments and the clear invoices makes my finances so easy to manage.

Plenty of teachers to choose from. Very clean UI. You can book block of 40 lessons at a big discount. You can then cancel at any time and get a refund for any unused lessons, no questions asked. Staff replies very quickly. I feel some of the negative reviews on this profile are meant for the corresponding teachers and not for the service itself. Will be using this service in the future.

I turned up for a first online saxophone lesson.
I was in the music class room for 20 mns and the teacher did not respond to my messages asking if he could hear me or see me.
I saw that he connected for two mns then logged off without replying to any of my messages although my video and audio were on.
I found his contact details on his own professional website, and tried to call him and texted him and asked if he could log on.
He never joined the lesson.
In fact he never returned my messages on your website.
He returned my text on his mobile number very late in the evening to apologise for not giving me the lesson and suggest a lesson next week.
I am not interested.
Had I not found his mobile number on his professional website he wouldn’t have got back to me as he didn’t return any of my messages on your website.
This is totally unprofessional and is not exactly the type of connection I was seeking to establish with a teacher for a first lesson which potentially would have lead to many more.
Please can I get a reimbursement of the £50 i paid in advance for a lesson I never got and which I am there for entitled to.
And I hope you remind this teacher of simple rules of courtesy.

Generally a great service. I recently had to request a refund because I was no longer able to continue with a block of lessons I had pre-booked. This was dealt with very promptly.

I have been a tutor with the musicteachers platform for half a year now and I have been consistently impressed with their dedication to delivering a high quality service for both tutors and pupils alike.

Having used other tutoring sites, it is clear that music teachers are head and shoulders above their competition. Their technical support is 2nd to none. Their willingness to resolve issues such as refunds is always prompt and completed hassle free.

With musicteachers I get a steady inflow of new student inquiries whereas with other platforms I have had no such luck. Nothing but good things to say about my experience using their platform. They have helped me build a great career for myself I can't thank them enough!!

Their cut is more than reasonable for how great a job they do on their end. No complaints at all.

Whether you are a tutor or student musicteachers is the greatest site for high quality reliable music lessons.

What an abysmal outfit.
My wife recently contacting this outfit, enquiring voice/singing coaching.
To her dismay, her contact was met with her being 'blocked' simply because she asked to actually speak with someone so as to have an actual conversation regarding her situation and what she was looking to achieve from this experience.
What sort of people are you to think this child like attitude is ok?
To think that an email only contact is the only way forward is actually a backward way of thinking.
And to then 'block' someone simply because they asked to speak to a person is despicable.

It was very quick and easy to set up music lessons for my son with MusicTeachers. All questions I had were answered quickly by the team and lessons themselves were fantastic. I would highly recommend MusicTeachers.

While I share some concerns expressed in other reviews regarding the company's shift to an entirely different scheme, I was truly impressed by the unparalleled level of service I received. They listen to what you need and go the extra mile to solve problems.
Especially James, who's super helpful, knowledgeable, super geeky (in a good way!), and has amazing writing skills that came in handy when explaining tricky tech stuff. He even helped me pick the right equipment, even though it wasn't his job. On top of that, he's friendly and professional. I know it sounds like a James fan club, but he was that good.
