Company will not return a $400 deposit. Company has a 24 hour cancellation policy. I left a message on their answering machine waited a week and did not receive the check. Sent text to person who came to house. Advised he would request it. Still out $400. There are plenty of honest fence companies here in Houston why setttfor a dishonest one?

Absolute disaster. Horrible communication. Will not return calls or show up when expected. I kept being told that this was a 2-day job and almost a month later they still have not completed this fence properly. It does not meet my HOA requirements, the quality of the work is terrible. I have cracked pickets, large gaps between pickets, instead of a 6" rot board, it was split down to 2 inches in places. Some of the mid rails are not even nailed to the posts. The project manager will not return calls or offer any plan to fix the problems. Absolutely will not use these people again. Clearly they have no integrity or work ethic.

Mustang built us a modern horizontal wooden fence and it completely changed our backyard vibes . It looks clean, solid and really well built

I have never been more convinced of a company buying 5 star ratings. If I could give zero stars, I would. This company gives vague estimates for the job only to turn around and use it against you. I ordered an extended top wrought iron fence. Prior to installation, the sales person (Gia) texted me to confirm the design and height of the fence. Lo and behold, the wrong fence was installed. It was a foot taller and a flush top, not extended top. We caught it before the gate was installed, so the crew stopped and said they would be back the next day to install the correct fence. That evening we received a hostile phone call from Sam who, in no uncertain terms, told us we were going to keep the fence they installed since the estimate didn't specify the design, and they would be back to install the gate in the morning. It was ONLY after I forwarded them the text I had with Gia that he agreed to install the correct fence. But- not without them nickel and diming me the rest of the way. They left sharp edges at the tops of some of the posts... "but the caps weren't listed in the estimate" so it's another $0.30 per cap. Theres a "service fee" that magically appeared after the wrong fence was installed so the total cost of the project more than the contract.
This company is NOT worth the headache but if you are actually up for the fight with them- get all correspondence in writing because you could EASILY end up with a fence you did NOT order.

If I could give zero stars, I would.
We hired Mustang Fence through Angie’s List, and the entire experience has been a nightmare. They never finished the work, installed things incorrectly, and communication was terrible — weeks would go by before they’d get back to us, we would call them mult times throughout the week and would set up multiple different appointments but they showed up whenever they felt like it without notice, disregarding all our appt times.

They removed our old gate and just left it on the property, leaving existing holes in the wall unpatched. The keypad they installed never worked properly (the number zero didn’t work and we got locked out of our own gate and at that we point couldn’t even use the lock and left the gate opened and unable to close or lock the gate for a week and a half) and instead of fixing it, they tried to charge us an additional $750 to replace it with some lock that was worse than before. When we told them we couldn’t open the gate bc there was no doorknob, they came unannounced (after multiple diff phone calls) and installed some handle that was only accessible on the outside and not from the inside, so we couldn’t even open the door from the inside unless we used our fingers to pry open the door from the hinge.

We waited several weeks for them to come back to fix all these problems, and when they finally showed up they did not show up during any of the appt times and instead showed up random times of the week.

Although the fence may look pretty from the outside, it was completely dysfunctional and just for show; and mustang fence was nonresponsive for any of the problems and just showed up randomly thru this whole process

They are unprofessional, unreliable, and full of excuses. They do work on their own terms with no regard for the customer. Save yourself the stress and money — do not hire Mustang Fence. One of the worst Angie’s list experiences of my entire life

We hired them to fix 1 basic wood fence and replace the gate entrance to the back yard with a cast iron gate. They installed the wrong kind of fence (wood when we asked for iron), so I called and sent pictures to their manager and he said he would call me back--then he never did. The price discrepancy between the two fences was several hundred dollars, so I accepted the fence that was installed with the agreement that they would refund the difference.

I have emailed twice, called 3+ times, texted the manager's phone, and have still not received the refund. The last 2 times I've called, the receptionist has noted the issue on our account and said she will speak with whoever does refunds and then it is not resolved.

I would not recommend this company. It's lousy that I will probably hear from them now that I've left bad reviews and not because they did what they were supposed to do.

Beyond having to hassle someone for a refund for their mistake, their work was average or slightly below. One of the large hinges should've been bent at a 90 degree angle and instead it extends beyond the fence several inches, making it look incomplete. They left some of the materials from the prior fence in my neighbor's yard, upsetting them.

I thought it was safe to go with a company with 4.9/5 stars but I guess always keep in mind, nothing is guaranteed.

We got a very vague estimate, and began to learn just how young and disorganized/dishonest this fencing company is.
Notice the new Houston area code (346) added a few months ago. Also notice how few reviews there are for Mustang Fencing. Sadly, the five star reviews are phony. Perhaps a few may be honest, but I doubt it.
This is a startup fencing company using shady tactics to remain in business.
My husband and I feel badly for those of you who actually got past the estimate and hired them. What nightmares you've been subjected to.

The service provided was fantastic. I'm thoroughly satisfied with their work. From the beginning to the end everything was very good.

Let's start this by saying that the job is done but I am in no way satisfied! I've accepted what they've worked on but overall the fence job was poorly done! There are still issues with the way it was put together but again, I'm accepting it at this point because I'm sick of dealing with the issues and lousy workmanship of this company!
Eli and Sam were nice guys but truthfully, they hire horrible workers to do their jobs. The amount of five stars ratings that I see across all the different online review locations, (Google, Yelp, Thumbtack, etc.), is a little amazing to me considering how half-assed this work was done!
The main issue with the fence along my driveway was in the last 24 years since my original fence was put in there have been several trees that have grown towards the fence. We planted them as young saplings and now they're quite big and have actually grown into the fence line. When I met with Eli and showed him the issues with the old fence and the tree line he said it would be no problem and they would move the fence out a bit towards the driveway. They did in some areas. They moved it out about 4 or 5" and were able to avoid several of the trees and their roots, that had grown up, but further down that same line they moved the fence line back to its original path. So now, the fence was up against a tree and they actually nailed part of my fence into the tree because they didn't have the foresight to move the fence back away from the stump of the tree that was growing!!
This is just one of the many issues that I had with their performance and job. The owner Sam came out, and we talked a bit about the issues. He told me he had problems with this worker or that worker or this team or that team and truthfully I understand he has issues but I don't really care! When I'm paying to get a job done I want it done and I really don't care about your staffing issues! I personally think they got a little too greedy, tried to take too many jobs and rushed this one to get it done quickly. The job was supposed to start on a Monday, but they didn't show up till Tuesday and until about 2:00 in the afternoon there were only two guys. Then from 2:00 in the afternoon till 8:30 at night, when it was getting dark, there was a crew here. But they were doing the work in the on & off rain and they were speeding up the work which is why I think it was done so poorly.
I was never kept in the loop as far as when the workers were going to show up and when they didn't show up I always had to call to find out why they weren't here. That happened three different times when they were supposed to be here for various things. After they finally got the work "finished", they said they would be back the next day to clean up the debris. The debris sat on the right side of my driveway for almost a week and it took me calling the owner and raising hell for him to get a crew here to clean it up! They then came back and cleaned up their wood but took none of the trees, branches or bushes they broke when they built the fence.
As you can see from the pictures there was a lot of really poorly done work that has since been "fixed", but their "fix" is not the best and truthfully, again, I'm not very satisfied! I should have had them tear down the whole side of the fence along my driveway and redo it, but I was in a good mood & let it go.
Lastly, while going over the different reviews for Mustang Fencing and Gates, I noticed on Thumbtack that there was a review from a guy that said he was paid by one of the owners to write five star reviews for the company. I don't know if that's true but it's very disconcerting to think that all of these five star ratings are actually really B.S.
I hope not, but seeing the work that they did for me I sure as heck am wondering why I got such lousy work done when all these other people supposedly got such amazing jobs from this company!
I truly regret not going with a more reputable company, but after reviewing this company's work online it really looked like they had a good reputation. Obviously, from the work that I got that reputation is not justified!!
From my experience I would not recommend this company!

I am very happy with the gate that does not break that Mustang Fencing and Gates put in for me. It is very strong and can stay outside in any weather without getting hurt. It looks very nice too. The people who put it in did a good job. They were polite and worked hard to make sure I was happy with everything they did. I think everyone should get a Gate like this Mustang Fencing and Gates!

The new iron gate looks great. It makes my home look fancy. The fencing company did a good job. They worked hard. I'm glad I hired them.

The new metal gate is great. It makes my house look better from the street. And it keeps things safe. The style is cool and modern. The workers did a good job putting it in.

The wood gate is pretty. It makes my house look nice. it also keeps my home safe. The gate is made well. it will last a long time. The people who installed the gate at their job. I like this fence and gates company.
