Piss poor mechanic that serviced my 4x4

Very poor job done on my Triton. Wife had to limp the car from Dongara to Kalbarri when the engine had a major power loss issue just before Dongara. She took it to a very good mechanic in Kalbarri where most of the power loss was due to a very dirty Mass Air Flow Sensor. As I trusted mycar to be performing log book services on all of our families cars (3 of them) to the requirements of the log book service I was not checking parts of the engine myself. The Mass Air Flow Sensor should be taken out and cleaned after EVERY air filter change yet this was NOT performed and obviously not performed for some time since I had been taking my 4x4 there.

When the person behind the counter at mycar was questioned "Why" was the MAF sensor not cleaned he said "Oh we don't check that"

Seriously it's a 5 minute job to unclip the sensor and spray the sensor with contact cleaner and re clip it......

Be aware of mycar Clarkson performing poor workmanship and claiming they are doing Log Book services when clearly they are not.

70k service mechanic didn’t tighten sump bolt so oil over driveway. Oil was black and not changed. Took car back and new oil has been changed and sump bolt tightened.

Not sure of the blokes name but he was so nice. Also the manager very helpful. Will definitely go there again.

Staff brilliant , communication was excellent! I know zero about cars so have the worry I could be told me anything so was pleased when the advised it was all good , can trust them they don’t add on lots of little things like many garages have done in the past.

As a first time customer for a car service I found the experience effortless. Jason greeted me and was happy to book me in the next day. I was given a quote which I was happy with. Everything went smoothly and I picked up my car with several hours to spare for an appointment south of the river. Very pleased and convenient close to shops too.

The manager was really helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much.
He was super busy and the phone ringing non stop, but he multi tasked like a champ.

Also, when they originally didn’t find anything wrong with the tyre he told the guy to go back and try something different. Then they found another issue which I wasn’t aware of at all. They could have given up but he insisted they keep checking. I really appreciated that.
