Sixt Ride is a SCAM

This company does not deserve any stars!! Do not at any point in your life book a service with SIXT ride. They are a scam and fraud. They offer a service, you make payment, they cancel and charge the full amount. Their customer service is a joke and have no time to listen or answer your question, they do tell you to feel free to leave a review. I get the impression they are in the business of scamming people on a daily basis.

Hände weg!

Wir haben einen Transfer von unserem Hotel in Hanoi zum Flughafen gebucht. Nachdem der Fahrer 10 Minuten nach Abholung nicht erschien rief ich die internationale Hotline an. Dort erklärte man mir das der Transfer storniert wurde - angeblich wurden wir schon darüber informiert. Bis heute habe ich weder eine Mail, oder einen Anruf erhalten wo man über die Stornierung informiert hätte. Und sowas von einem deutschen Unternehmen…

Definitiv nie wieder! Da ist jedes Taxiunternehmen in Vietnam zuverlässiger!

Horrible!!

Horrible! I wish I could give a zero star. Cancelled my ride and did not even bother to inform me. Told them not to charge my cc but since I did not get the service, but still charged it. Nightmare reaching customer service. Stay away!

AVOID IF YOU HAVE A CHILD!! I booked a ride via booking.com and specifically said an infant car seat was required. As expected when I landed from a 10 hour flight the driver arrived with no car seat.........this means I had to get a 3 hour train home instead. It was also suggested by the driver I jsut have my infant son on my lap.......illegal and super unsafe. Thanks SIXT.

Ich fahre des öfteren mit Sixt Ride

Ich fahre des öfteren mit Sixt Ride. Bei frühzeitiger Buchung sind die Preise absolut ok. Jedoch lohnt es sich preislich nicht mehr, wenn man zwei bis drei Wochen vorher bucht. In dem Fall kann man direkt ein richtiges Taxi nehmen, was viele der eingesetzten Autos in ihrem ersten Leben auch mal waren (erkennbar an der beigen Farbe der Tür-Innenseite).

Bis auf eine Ausnahme waren in den letzten Jahren alle Fahrer pünktlich. In dem Fall gab es sofort ein Guthaben für weitere Fahrten. Was mich nervt, dass in letzter Zeit häufig nicht das in der App angegebene Fahrzeug kommt.

Man trackt dann das falsche Fahrzeug, was 50 km entfernt ist und das ist absolut nicht gut für meine Nerven, denn Zug/ Flieger warten nicht. Zudem wird gerne auch die falsche Fahrzeugklasse geschickt. Dabei hat es durchaus seine Gründe,warum ich eine bestimmte Klasse gewählt habe. Fairerweise muss ich dazu sagen, dass anschließende Beschwerden immer sehr kundenfreundlich bearbeitet werden.

Nachtrag: Habe gerade versucht meine letzte Fahrt von Ende August für Ende Oktober erneut zu buchen (gleicher Wochentag, gleiche Uhrzeit und Strecke, gleicher Rabatt Gutschein) und siehe da: fast 40 % teurer! Dann vielleicht doch wieder das örtliche Taxi...

Früher haben wir Sixt ride sehr gerne…

Früher haben wir Sixt ride sehr gerne in Anspruch genommen und die Benefits von AMEX Platinum waren ein echter Vorteil. Seit einiger Zeit sind die Fahren allerdings dermaßen überteuert, dass jedes Taxi ohne Rabatt immer günstiger ist, als Sixt ride. Insofern ist auch das auch kein Benefit mehr, den man für 850€ Jahresbeitrag bekommt. Wir sind hier nicht die ersten, die sich darüber ärgern, aber vielleicht fängt man unter Druck mal bei Sixt oder Amex an, das Ganze wieder attraktiv zu machen. Im Moment wirbt Amex ja mit extremen Punkten um neue Kunden. Vielleicht sollten sie sich auch mal um ihre Bestandskunden kümmern und Kritik und Hinweise nicht völlig ignorieren.

Unsafe and scary experience

Sixt partners with airlines for car service, but they outsource rides to Lyft and takes no responsibility even though they are the airline partner.

No driver details were shared upfront—a red flag. The driver arrived late, loaded my luggage, then started complaining once ride had started that the trip didn’t pay enough and demanded I cancel. When I asked him to please continue to the airport, he began cursing repeatedly and yelling “$uck you” (changing the curse to be able to post). He then forced me out of the car and continued yelling and cursing.

Minutes later, Sixt emailed that no driver was available—leaving me shaken, unsafe, and scrambling for another ride to the airport. This driver now knows where I live, and am worried. When I reached our to Sixt - there response was a generic and dismissive “we regret you were not satisfied” and a disclaimer that third-party rides don’t meet their quality standards. I took a photo of the his license plate and sixt basically said this has nothing to do with them.

There is no direct way to escalate with Lyft since the booking is through Sixt.

This is not simply about “unsatisfactory service”—this was a serious safety issue. Sixt’s refusal to take accountability for passenger safety is irresponsible. Travelers should know that booking with Sixt does not guarantee a vetted or safe driver - or take any responsibility to share the feedback with Lyft! That driver should not be allowed to pick up passengers. Riders beware.

Dont rely on this service

We paid for a “pet ride” in Paris (quite expensive!) and there was a huge debate when we met the driver as he firstly refused to take our dog if not in a cage. Outrageous, after we had paid!! He very reluctantly called the office and then “agreed” to take us.

UPDATE: Thank you for your reply, these situations can be very stressful after a very long journey, important that drivers are happy with the booking. I have amended my review.

Voiture horrible pour une limousine xl j ai eu un vieux pick up. La Clim de marchait pas donc on a du respirer l’odeur de l’essence dans les tunels car 35 degrés dehors et un bébé de 4 mois avec nous.

Le chauffeur désagréable depuis le moment où nous avons posé le pied à Naples au téléphone!
On m’annonce une attente gratuite jusqu a 14h19 alors que mon horaire de pick up est a 14h30!

Don't trust these guys

Very bad service! Canceled booking at the last minute, leaving us stranded at the airport.

Reason given is ridiculous - driver was assigned with vehicle# / driver-name / driver-phone# - only thing is driver was not aware that he had a pickup

Nur noch enttäuschend

Ich war jahrelang zufriedener SIXT ride Kunde, aber aktuell übersteigen die angebotene Preise inkl. relativ hohem Platinum Rabatt die Standtarife für Taxi, Uber und Co. bei weitem und der Service ist meist gleich. Bei kürzeren Strecken wird der Rabatt eh aus mir nicht nachvollziehbaren Gründen eh gleich ganz weggelassen

Avoid at all costs

Unfortunately I did not read these reviews before booking this service that trip.com uses. My partner and I recently arrived in Rome, albeit a little later than the scheduled time because of baggage and our flight arriving late. However, I had to phone the driver who claimed that he would be at the airport in 5 minutes and that I would be charged a bit extra as I was running later than the expected time of arrival. Anyway, after our baggage was collected, the driver, by the name of GIANNI CAMPO pulls a no show and we waited and waited in Rome airport for hours after his supposed arrival. My partner and I tried phoning him on both of our phones but the number did not go through at all. My partner even added the drivers number into WhatsApp who of course did not read a single one of her messages. After calling customer service through trip.com, they were of no help and said they couldn’t help me without a proper booking number. The booking number I used was trip.com’s booking number which is the app I used to purchase this service. SIXT charged me 400 odd CNY and is a total scam and a complete waste of time. I also received an email from SIXT claiming that they cancelled the booking as the driver could not get hold of me, which is not the truth of course. I was the one who cancelled the booking after the driver pulled a no show.

Do not use this service

Do not use this service. As an Etihad business class passenger they recommend them. I booked them leaving Heathrow and had a 3.5 hour flight delay with Air France, which he would have known about if he had a phone and looks at planes landing, I let him know 1.5 hours before landing we were going to be late and I got charged $215 Australian dollars. This is fraud any way you look at it. Not happy and will be writing to etihad. Just use uber.

Super schlechter Service

Man nimmt an, dass SIXT ein solides und seriöses Unternehmen sei. Immerhin stellen Sie sich ja so in der Presse da. Dann bucht man mal einen SIXT Right, um sein eigenes Auto stehen zu lassen, und zu einem wichtigen Flug am Flughafen zu kommen, man bekommt alle Informationen über den Fahrer und dann kommt er nicht. Was für ein bescheidener Service. Bitte lieber richtige Taxis buchen. Sind vielleicht diesen Hauch teurer, aber wenigstens zuverlässig. Außerdem unterstützt man da die richtigen Leute und nicht unzuverlässige Milliardärs Familien.

Buchung Taxi Flughafen Rom

Wir hatten über Booking.com ein Taxi vom Flughafen in die Innenstadt von Rom gebucht. Der erste Anruf des Taxifahrers kam, als wir noch im Flugzeug waren. Ab diesem Zeitpunkt gilt die Wartezeit von 45 Minuten. Die Kofferausgabe erfolgte schleppend, so dass der Taxifahrer uns dann erklärte, er könne nicht mehr länger warten. Also lieber vor Ort den Bus oder ein normales Taxi für 55 € nehmen.

Vlucht vertraagd, dan geen taxi meer

Vlucht van Eindhoven was vertraagd en kwam niet om de geplande tijd van 15.30 uur aan maar om ca. 19.40 uur. SIXT geeft aan op basis van geplande tijd vlucht te volgen zodat chauffeur op juiste tijd aanwezig is. Chauffeur per sms geïnformeerd over vertraging. Geen reactie totdat bericht kwam dat chauffeur om 15.15 uur stond te wachten op vliegveld. Later bericht dat hij weer vertrokken was.
Boeking van SIXT Ride via booking.com werkt dus niet zodra vlucht vertraagd is.
Beter dus niet boeken!

You could be ignored

We hired a driver to pick us up at the airport in Dublin. No one was there when we arrived. I called and the driver didn't know who I was. When he figured it out he said he didn't expect me to land for 30 more minutes. We decided to take a taxi instead of wait for him. The company pre-charged my credit card and won't refund me because I cancelled within their one hour "buffer" time and they say during that time the driver could pick up other people. So, while you're waiting with your bags, after a long day of travel, your driver could be getting in another ride during the time you reserved.

The buffer time is intended to account for any extended processes at the airport, such as customs, baggage collection, or other post-flight procedures.
Therefore, the buffer you selected during your booking provides the driver with a clear timeframe for when to await you for the pickup after your flight lands. Should you be available for an earlier pickup, unfortunately, the driver cannot adjust for earlier pickups at such short notice.

Von Sixt der schlechteste Kundendienst…

Von Sixt der schlechteste Kundendienst den ich von Amerian Express Platium je bekommen haben , mehrmals feedback abgeben im eigenen Forum auf eigene E mail als Antwort kam jedes mal sie jätten hohes Kundenbeschwerdevolumem könnten auf mein Anliegen nicht eingehen oder zurückrufen ich finde es ein Unding bevor ich zur Polizei oder zum Gewerbeaufsichtsamt gehe hätte ich gerne mit sixt geredet ich habe alle Unterlagen eingereicht.Der Unterpunkt andere Fahrer feedback abgegeben keine Reaktion ich hatte das jetzt schon 3 mal in BER
