Mediocre Mattress, Horrible Customer Service

This is, by far, the least Customer Friendly company I've ever worked with. I purchased their premium mattress because it has 3-cooling layers, and my partner sleeps hot. These did not cool us any more than my 8yr old Helix mattress, so we scheduled a return and bought their cheaper mattress. The cheaper mattress was as hard as a rock after 3 days, so I cancelled the other return and started one for the cheaper mattress.
Nectar would not take back the cheaper mattress back, and didn't say why; just that I had to keep it for longer. I really didn't want to store their construction supplies (brick), so I opened a chargeback on my card.
Nectar provided citibank with an obscure page on their site, not included in the legal terms of service, that says I have to keep the mattress for 30-days, and closed the dispute.
Now, Nectar still has yet to refund my money almost a month after they have picked up the mattress.

I don’t recommend buying from them

I don’t recommend buying from them. Their customer service is the worse. I received a damaged item on Wednesday Jan 10, 2024 and sent them photos. Now it is Tuesday, 1/16/24, no response to my damaged item. So Monday I requested a return label. I have wasted at least 2 hours trying to get someone to pick up my damaged item that I wanted to refuse delivery on. FedEx is notorious on delivering damaged items.

Called their customer service number and it took 17 minutes for a return label. What a hassle. My credit card customer rep easily created a dispute for this charge in significantly less time.

Buyer beware if you have any issues.

Read the fine print

So far we are happy with the mattress, but the sleep bundle that they sell is complete garbage.
DO NOT BUY AS A PACKAGE DEAL. when I tried to return they said because I opend the pillow (whick was compressed) they would not return it. because it was not ablle to go back in its original package.

I would definitely suggest not purchasing

They do NOT give the refund. The mattress wasn't what we hoped for. We contacted them after ten days and were told we HAD to use it for a month before they would refund. Then we recieved a refund for HALF of what we paid. Seriously! Half! the product is okay, it just wasn't for us but the guarantee is very very misleading!

I wish I would’ve done my due diligence…

I wish I would’ve done my due diligence before my purchase. Spent $3,200 for weeks of frustration :/ I sent Nectar this today…

I’ve had to contact you guys to many times… Why can’t I just order something from you and be done with it? Ugh. This is my second time contacting you (for this additional issue) about this after waiting ANOTHER week. Where is the sheets, pillows, and mattress protectors I ordered over 2 weeks ago? I’ve had to ask severe times about the progress of the rest of my purchase and am unable to get a response. The only thing that you did bother to send where frames you guys sent in clearly uncared for packages that allowed my bed to get wet and then asked for “pictures of damage” like I can show you the fabric has been repeatedly wet. Regardless my transaction should’ve been as simple as pay $3,200 and receive an ON TIME, QUALITY package from a reputable company. So much for that. You can definitely tell when a company establishes a customer service department to annoy customers until you give up rather than admit their fault and satisfy their customers. Just please tell me when I can receive the rest of my package so the thought of Nectar can leave my mind for good.

Thank you for your time. At least Nectar is paying you.

The mattress is pathetic

The mattress is NOT amazing. Just like any other old mattress you can get from WALMART. Expensive as hell, and they aren't clear on their return policy. Free shipping and returns my a**. I called to return a tiny weighted blanket that neither I nor my husband liked. We got this blanket last week. Was told it can't be returned because it's been OPENED. what a RIPOFF. We still haven't gotten our bedframe, it's been a week and a half since we ordered it and it still hasn't even started SHIPPING YET. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. HEAVEN HELP ME WHEN WE GO TO RETURN THIS CRAP.

Nectar Customer Experience is the worst...STAY AWAY

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with Nectar Sleep regarding a mattress bundle purchase (approximately $2000) on November 18th. My order, due in three parts, started with the mattress arriving on November 22nd. However, it was inappropriately left in a public mailroom three blocks away, necessitating a strenuous personal transport to my second-floor home.

Upon contacting FedEx, I learned the delivery should have been made to my door. They offered a return visit the next day, which was inconvenient. When I reached out to Nectar, they informed me that my adjustable frame was on backorder, without a definite delivery date. My requests to speak with a supervisor and for complaint escalation were met with denial and delays, respectively. I was given a vague possibility of receiving the frame the following week.

This experience has been unsatisfactory, causing significant inconvenience. The lack of clear communication and proper delivery service is troubling, especially given the value of the purchase. The inability to engage with a supervisor or receive a definitive response adds to the frustration.

I am seeking:

Immediate Update: A definitive delivery date for the adjustable frame.
Direct Contact: Access to a supervisor or a responsible representative for direct communication.
Formal Complaint Acknowledgment: Recognition and escalation of my issue within Nectar's system.
I anticipate a prompt and effective resolution to these matters. Please contact me urgently to address these concerns.

Furthermore, when I called for a follow-up 9 days later and requested to speak to a supervisor, I was informed that the escalation team is not available until 11 am. Despite my insistence on the necessity of speaking with someone due to the lack of callbacks, the supervisor has refused to take my call. The agent handling my case, though apologetic, advised me to wait until 11 am, which is not a satisfactory solution.

Never received the adjustable frame and cancelled order

I purchased this Bundle 11/12/23 and I only received the mattress and pillow bundle but Not the adjustable bed frame. It was supposed to ship out within 2-5 days and after 4 calls to customer service and being lied to that the bed frame was in stock and would be shipped and to wait, they finally told me they had no idea when it would be shipped. They adjustable bed frame was to be shipped by 11/17. On 11/21, I canceled my order and had FedEx to pickup the mattress and pillow bundle and I ordered a Ghostbed and adjustable frame from Costco. They both are shipped and scheduled to arrive by tomorrow 11/27. I no longer trust this company after being lied to and strung along, selling products they knew were not in stock. Note: I’m still waiting to get reimbursed for the mattress. They said once it arrives back to the warehouse, I have to call back to get the refund. Hope my experience helps with your decision.

Forget any communication or on-time delivery

I needed an adjustable mattress frame with zero clearance (for my platform bed base) with massage options.

Reviewed about 5, decided on Nectar because I THOUGHT it was a reliable company. They were running another 'sale'; that brought the price in line with the others I was looking at.

Order it on the 12th, arrange 6 months of payments with AfterPay (senior citizen here, this is a chunk of money for me). Get a confirmation with deliver between the 15 and 18.

No additional correspondence from the company, so on the 16 I reach out via chat. They have no shipping date, are sure it will be on time and 'they'll stay on the issue".

On November 20, I contact them again. Delivery date range has come and gone - and utter radio silence from them. Get told the same thing - no updates on delivery, no explanations, but they'll stay on the issue. I ask for escalation and tell them flat out if it isn't shipped by the 22, I will be cancelling the order.

Get an email from the escalation team saying: due to precautions and 'unexpected orders' delivery will be delayed. No delivery date provided - just more corporate speak saying nothing. I again, tell them the order WILL be cancelled, and I commented on the abysmal customer service.

2-hours later I get an official shipping is delayed notice - but no information on WHEN the bed frame will be shipped. It's in a box, it's not a custom order, ship the miserable thing!

At this point I go to Amazon and look for a zero clearance bed frame with massage; find 2 I like in the same price range and add both to cart in anticipation.

The next morning I get a notice from Amazon that one of the frames is on Black Friday mark down; $150 less than I'm currently paying. Check email notices from Nectar for any updates. Crickets.

Okay then, back to chat to cancel the order. The person wants to know why? I explain in detail. Put on hold... still on hold.... ask if there is an issue... still on hold... Finally comes back and tells me (I am not kidding here), the system won't let him cancel the order. I told him to find a way to cancel the order - because if it somehow miraculously arrived, I was refusing delivery!

Eventually, the order was successfully cancelled. As I told the rep, all my conversations and emails had been saved as proof of discussion and actions.

My new bed frame from Amazon is due next week; I personally held off delivery until mid-week because of the holiday mess. I also have 12 months to pay for it with zero finance charges.

I have a feeling the 'cannot cancel' notice is used commonly, and people might actually go along with it. I'm not one of those people - which again, is why every bit of correspondence/communication is documented and kept.

Never again will I even consider using a Nectar product.

This bed is absolutely horrible

This bed is absolutely horrible. Misleading and their customer service is horrible. They tell you that you can't return someone once it's open. Well how do you know if something is damaged without opening it. They said once opened can't return. Very nasty. Have to file fraud claim with credit card company for refund.

I urge anyone considering a mattress purchase to thoroughly research the company's policies and read the fine print before making a decision. Learn from my mistake and choose a retailer like Costco, where satisfaction is truly a priority.

Mattress to soft and a 365 day return policy that isn’t

Bought a nectar mattress and it was way too soft. Tried to return it and was told I had to keep it for a month before they could allow it to be returned in that month the cover got a stain on it and now they will not allow me to return it. So now I’m stuck with a $1200 dollar mattress that is not going to be used.

This was the WORST experience. I ordered a mattress, frame and bed bundle. I paid $190 for set up. I got a text and call about set up. I got rid of my old mattress and frame the morning of delivery. 2 Guys showed up with the mattress in the box. NO BED FRAME. I called and customer service had ZERO answers. Told me to sleep on the floor or BUY A BED FRAME. They also told me that set up only includes the mattress (so $190 for opening a box)?? I cancelled the bed frame and found one locally. The NEXT DAY a 200lb bed frame was delivered. I have been emailing with them for OVER A WEEK. No refund. ALSO NO BEDDING. DO NOT EVER WORK WITH THIS COMPANY

Don't bother buying this mattress!

Don't bother buying this mattress!! At first it was comfy, but very quickly a dip developed each side with a buldge in the middle. The mattress is very uncomfortable!! My back pain continues as I try to fight against the dip during my sleep putting firther strain on my lower back and hips. I ferl bruised every morning. I bought an Emma mattress topper to try to fix the problem, but still the dip and buldge made its way through the topper! I saved up for this mattress on a budget salary and believed all the reviews, the Switch stars and the so called expert advice. Only to find out this was all rubbish! I can't even leave a review on the Nectar site, which just goes to show their shady behaviour. Complete waste of my hard earned money and so called life time guarantee. Sick of large companies deceiving people into buying their over priced rubbish. Grrrr......

I ordered the nectar premiere copper…

I ordered the nectar premiere copper hybrid mattress. Within the first week we already knew it wasn't for us but they make you wait a month before contacting for a return so we gave it the full 30 day trial. I called to return. The first lady was very nice and started it. I had to take and email pics of the mattress, then call back. Obviously I got a different person. He said the pictures looked good, sent them to their "pickup partner" whoever that is, who said they saw a stain. So I had to take more pictures in case it was shadows from lighting. Today I was denied the return by the pickup partner...not even nectar...who says they still see stains. Idk what to say.. there's no stains but short of having someone come out just to physically see the mattress in person I'm stuck with a horrible mattress that does none of the things they claim it does. Both of us sleep HOTTER than on our old pillowtop and every time one of us moves the other feels it. There is also nothing even slightly firm about this mattress. I'll never do business with this company again.

NECTAR SLEEP CUSTOMER SERVICE FRAUDULENT

Contacted nectarsleep about in home delivery and old mattress removal. the website advertises in home delivery and removal of old mattress. the website does not offer an option when making a purchase online!!! they want you to call them or chat and give them your cart number and they can add it to your cart!!! REALLY I chatted and spoke to 3 different customer service reps as well as one supervisor!!! Their website has no info on the specifics as to what is included in the service other than FAQ. the one rep told me that they would not remove box springs only old mattress!!! The supervisor told me that in home delivery and set up of adjustable base was not available.... I own one of their mattresses bought from a mattress store and I like it... I would steer clear from this company because of the deceiving customer service just on in home delivery!!! Even the Supervisor told me that I could purchase in home delivery online!!!! I don't know about you but I am tired of companys lying to their customers and talking in circles!!!! If I buy their bed I will have to buy it from someone else!!

Very disappointing that the memory foam…

Very disappointing that the memory foam mattress lasted less than 3 years. For the first 2 years the mattress was comfortable and resulted in a good nights sleep. But as the memory foam sagged sleeping resulted in back pain and discomfort to the point that it became unusable. The lifetime warranty which is a big part of their sales strategy is not worth anything as they use a third party to examine the mattress which always meets "supposed" industry expectations for wear and tear and therefore the warranty is invalid. I would expect a reasonable mattress to last at least 7 years for myself who is average build and using the double mattress on my own the Nectar Sleep memory foam mattress lasted less than 3 years.

So I have read all the reviews and had a completely different experience! I purchased a King Mattress Bundle and couldn't be happier! The bed is beautiful and so comfortable we don't want to get out of it in the morning 😆
I interacted with customer service and had no issues. It took about a week to receive my order. The frame came first with the pillows and sheet set then the mattress was the day after.
I guess it's just like anything else you order online. Know what you're buying!! Read the fine print!! Do your research and understand exactly what you're getting for your money.
The material is fantastic! The quality of the entire set has went beyond my expectations and I am so happy we invested in this bed!! I will update this yearly because you never know!

Worst service ever!!

DON'T BELIEVE THE WARRANTY HYPE! Our Mattress arrived damaged and for 2 days I've been trying to get it replaced. Even though their site states they cover for ANY reason, it's a lie. I was told when I placed the claim that it's not covered. I was told when I called customer service I had to send pictures and wait 72hrs. DO NOT PURCHASE A NECTAR PRODUCT. Worst service ever!!! I ordered from nectarsleep.com the following: an adjustable bedframe, bedframe to go around adjustable frame, mattress, sheet bundle with pillows, and premium in-home setup. Right after I ordered, I received a call to make sure my experience was good and if I had any questions. The in-home setup was only shown on the invoice for the adjustable frame and mattress. I inquired why the bedframe was not included. He assured me that it was included and I shouldn’t have any issues. I paid extra for this service because it was going to my elderly, disabled father who wouldn’t be able to do this on his own. The first issue was that the bedframe was delivered separately and left at my fathers’ door. He had no way of getting this into his apartment. I spent almost 2 hours with support as they informed me that this was not included in the premium in-home setup. I was assured that this would be included since I confirmed this upon my purchase and it was supposedly rectified, and they emailed me confirmation that this would not be a problem when the rest of the order was delivered. Well, IT WAS A PROBLEM. I tried their chat and that person was useless. I had to call support and he didn’t give me any hassle, told me they would call the delivery person and let them know it was okay to set up. Nectar support DID NOT call him, but the great delivery person put it up anyway. The next problem: the bed didn’t pop up as it should and we had to make a claim for them to send out a new mattress. Now who will help him when that mattress is delivered? Will it be left at the door and stolen? DO NOT PURCHASE FROM NECTARSLEEP.COM unless you are ready for a headache. Customer support and chat is nothing more than someone to calm you and make you go away. They DO NOT actually have customer service. If I lived closer, I would return everything for a refund and purchase a Tempurpedic locally and put it up myself.
