Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I needed help changing my direct debit date but they told me they can't change it. So they said for me to cancel and restart on the date I wanted my payment to come out which I did but then I lost my benefits when restarting the subscription. I emailed fitbit premium as well as google one and they were both useless and passing the blame and responsibility to each other.
Still no further forward and currently looking for a better storage provider as google one is absolutely shocking.

Bezahlter Pro-Status ohne Funktion – Der Support ist eine reine Zeitverschwendung!

Endlose Hinhaltetaktik und technische Inkompetenz (Fall-ID: 4-7532000041174)

Ich warne jeden davor, Geld für das Gemini Pro Abo (Google AI Pro 2 TB) auszugeben. Seit Ende Februar bezahle ich für Funktionen (wie 4K-Bildgenerierung/Upscaling), die bei mir schlichtweg nicht funktionieren oder nicht freigeschaltet sind. Doch was noch schlimmer ist als das technische Versagen, ist der Umgang mit dem zahlenden Kunden.

Die „Support-Hölle“ im Detail:

Absichtliche Verzögerungen: Jede Antwort vom Support (Mitarbeiter wie Natalija oder Supervisor Santiago) dauert mindestens 24 Stunden – oft nur, um neue Hürden aufzubauen.

Technisches Unvermögen: Ich habe das Problem DREI MAL detailliert mit Bildschirmfotos und Videos dokumentiert. Jedes Mal kam erst einen Tag später die Antwort, meine Dateien seien „nicht sichtbar“ oder könnten nicht geöffnet werden – eine klassische Ausrede, um Zeit zu gewinnen.

Sprachbarriere als Schikane: Nachdem meine ersten drei Beweise ignoriert wurden, zwang man mich, alles noch einmal ZWEI MAL komplett auf Englisch aufzunehmen und zu erklären. Als zahlender Kunde in der Schweiz wird man hier wie ein Bittsteller behandelt, der die Arbeit der Techniker machen soll.

Leere Versprechen: Seit ich alle geforderten englischen Videos am 9. März geliefert habe, werde ich nur noch mit Standardfloskeln wie „Die Spezialisten prüfen das“ und „Geduld haben“ abgespeist.

Fazit: Google kassiert pünktlich die Abo-Gebühren, liefert aber weder die Technik noch einen funktionierenden Service. Man wird systematisch hingehalten, bis man die Lust verliert. Das ist kein Support, das ist organisierte Kunden-Ignoranz.

Muchas Suscripciones ONE "AI" de google son un poco engaño

Las suscripciones ONE IA de Google son un poco falsas. O te vas a un plan de lo que cuestan todas las IA, o te olvidas, pero intentan engañarte con los nombres, nomenclaturas, créditos... el objetivo es liar en vez de ser transparentes. El plan AI Plus que han sacado por 8€ mes es el plan de 200Gb de antes (3€ mes), solo que meten lo de IA que es mentira ya que es exactamente el mismo funcionamiento que el modo gratuito, pero le suben 5€ (Salvo que necesites creación de video o similares). Lo mismo con el plan Premium 2Tb, que pone que incluye AI pero exactamente la misma mentira, es el mismo uso que el modo gratuito de la IA. O te vas a las suscripciones de 20€ mes, o sólo estás pagando por espacio en nube.

NO customer service whatsoever

I literally just tried to give Google more money by upgrading my Google One subscription to the Ultra tier. Instead of processing the upgrade, their automated system panicked, flagged my account, and completely locked my payment profile.

It demanded ID verification, which I uploaded immediately. It has now been well over a week, and my account is still frozen in a "Verification in progress" state. Because of this lock, I am entirely stripped of my admin permissions. I cannot manage my own payment methods, and worse, the payments for my existing, active services are now actively failing.

Customer support is completely useless. I am stuck in an endless email loop with frontline reps telling me the issue is with a "higher team," yet absolutely nothing happens.

If you value your data, your time, and your sanity, be very careful tying your primary payment methods to Google One. If their automated algorithm glitches, you are locked out of everything, and there is no human willing or able to help you fix it.

La recensione riguarda solo GOOGLE ONE e GOOGLE DRIVE a pagamento. Ho acquistato la IA Gemini Plus e compreso nel pacchetto c'erano 100 Gb sul Cloud di Google (ambedue + Foto etc.). Le applicazioni scaricano qualsiasi file senza alcun criterio anche 2, 3 volte, basta cambiare cartella o rinominare il file. Quindi si riempie in pochissimo tempo. Ancor peggio è che per liberare spazio sul PC salva i file sul Cloud cancellandoli dal PC, ma non te ne accorgi. E senza Internet è quindi impossibile aprirli perchè non ci sono più sul pc. Ma le icone dei file si! Questo a casa mia si chiama FURTO! o TRUFFA! (ufficialmente non lo è visto che accetti il contratto che nessuno legge visto che sono decine di pagine scritte in maniera incomprensibile). Il Cloud inoltre viene usato anche per il servizio G-mail per cui quando la memoria è piena ti MINACCIA dicendo che devi comprare ulteriore spazio o liberare spazio. La prima operazione è ovviamente facilissima, mentre la seconda già diventa più complicata da fare e lentissima. Per scaricare i tuoi file "rubati" te li invia ZIPpati (compressi) ma te li calcola come se fossero interi.. cioè li paghi per interi. Ma l'app ZIP è solo in versione di prova. Che per averla normale dovresti pagare! per fortuna basta cliccare "Prosegui" e te la fa usare comunque.. Ma è fastidioso che te lo ricorda in continuazione che dovresti abbonarti! Impostare le modalità di Backup è impossibile! ho contattato il servizio assistenza di Google, operazione anch'essa complicatissima, che mi ha detto, molto gentilmente devo dire, che l'unica è disattivare o disistallare le app e che non c'è modo di decidere cosa le app debbano fare o no dei TUOI FILE! se cadi nel tranello è la fine! fanno carte false per fregarti i soldi a tutti i costi! il che è scandaloso visto che è la piattaforma più usata al mondo e fanno miliardi a palate! ma l'avidità pare non abbia limiti! questo perchè le Azioni di borsa devono costantemente aumentare di valore altrimenti gli investitori vendono in massa le Azioni e le aziende rischiano di fallire nonostante siano leader al mondo e in attivo. E per questo colossi come IKEA non sono quotate in Borsa! una volta dentro diventi Schiavo del sistema Capitalistico! e per questo aziende leader mondiali per vendite di auto come Volkwagen si sono trovate in crisi più volte come nel "Diesel Gate".. Le strategie dei Manager (amministratori delegati) sono semplici. Risparmiare dove possibile a scapito degi clienti, ingannare i clienti fidelizzandoli con spese costanti e aumentare i prezzi! Quindi non abbonatevi per nessun motivo al servizio di Cloud di Google ma usate semplicemente la versione gratuita da 15 Gb legata a G-mail. Stop. Consiglio a GOOGLE di stare attenti perchè chi "troppo vuole nulla stringe"! Investite invece i soldi per ricomprare tutte le azioni e uscite dal sistema delle borse valori, non devono essere gli Investitori seduti sulle poltrone davanti a un pc a decidere il destino di un azienda, ma coloro che ci lavorano tutti i giorni producendo qualcosa di tangibile che vada oltre il denaro!

I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the way this application handles its payment system. Recently, I discovered that the app automatically deducts payments two days before the subscription expires, without providing any prior notification. This practice feels deceptive and unfair, and I cannot help but feel that I have been scammed. As a paying customer, I believe I deserve transparency, respect, and proper communication regarding charges made to my account.

The most troubling aspect of this issue is the lack of notification. Customers should be informed well in advance—ideally at least one week before any automatic renewal or deduction takes place. Instead, the app silently deducts money without warning, leaving users shocked when they notice the charge. This is not only poor customer service but also a violation of trust. Hard‑earned money should never be taken without clear consent and timely communication.

Developers must understand that every cent matters to their customers. People work tirelessly to earn their income, and losing money unexpectedly due to hidden or premature deductions is both discouraging and infuriating. It shows a lack of empathy and professionalism. A company that values its users should prioritize transparency and fairness, not exploit loopholes in automated systems to secure payments.

Automation is not the problem in itself; many services use automated billing for convenience. The real issue lies in the absence of proper notifications and the unethical timing of deductions. By charging customers two days before the subscription expires, the app denies users the opportunity to make an informed choice—whether to continue, cancel, or adjust their plan. This approach feels manipulative, as if the developers are deliberately trying to trap customers into paying for services they may no longer want.

The right way to handle renewals is simple: notify customers at least one week before the payment date, clearly stating the amount to be charged and the exact date of deduction. This gives users enough time to prepare, budget, or cancel if they wish. Anything less than this is disrespectful and unprofessional. Customers should never be forced into payments they did not explicitly approve at the time of deduction.

Because of this practice, I have suffered financial losses. Money that I worked hard to earn was taken without my consent, leaving me frustrated and disappointed. I expected better from a service associated with Google, a company that should uphold the highest standards of customer care and ethical business practices. Instead, I feel cheated by developers who seem to prioritize profit over fairness.

I strongly urge the developers to reconsider their approach. Automated payments must be accompanied by clear, timely notifications. Respect your customers enough to give them control over their own money. Learn good manners, practice transparency, and treat users with the dignity they deserve. Until these changes are made, I will continue to view this app as a scam that exploits its customers rather than serving them honestly.

Photo to video feature never works

Purchased a subscription so I would be able to generate videos from photos. It never works. Then after several failed attempts it tells me that I reached my limit for the day even though I never managed to create one. This is a scam . I would expect more from google. I'm cancelling. Don't waste your time and money!!!

Google One : un service qui ne justifie plus son coût. Malgré un abonnement payant, l'outil multiplie les erreurs techniques qui consomment inutilement les jetons de génération. Il est inacceptable de payer pour une technologie qui manque de fiabilité et qui gaspille les ressources facturées sans fournir le résultat attendu. Entre les bugs de fonctionnement et le sentiment de payer pour un service non opérationnel, la déception est totale. Je résilie mon abonnement et passe sur des alternatives plus sérieuses.

Ich habe das 100GB abo für 1,99€/Monat schon seit Februar 2024. Kann mich nicht beschweren. Bis auf diese Benachrichtigung das 85% des speichers bereits belegt sind, was ständig angezeigt wird, bin ich eig voll zufrieden.

i signed up for google one Pro for VEO 3 but it never worked

i signed up for google one Pro because their ads imply that I would have use of Veo 3.1. I am currently using up to 15 MBs, currently 4.8 MBs of storage and have no need for 2 TBs of storage. But Google's misrepesented what they were offering by including veo 3.1 in flow and whisk.
these do not work! i tried several times and gemini says: ""we are I'm generating your video. This could take a few minutes, so check back to see when your video is ready. googleusercontentDOTcom/video_gen_chip/0""
That link is a holding place IF veo 3.1 is working but I found out that Final truth

Gemini doesn’t lie —
it just never gets told when the render died.

So it waits forever, showing you a fake link.

That’s why professionals don’t use Gemini for production.
I could not even do one video because I tried to get consistency with a reference video and that was too much for the system and it failed and never told me.

one.google doesn't listen to its customers.

I purchased a 204.99 TL package from one.google, which I've used before. Although the package I bought is higher quality and advertised as offering more access (NotebookLM), the daily video creation quota has dropped from around 20 to 5-8. In short, I'm not getting my money's worth. Despite reporting this to google.one several times, they haven't responded or provided any information. They are both indifferent and I'm not getting my money's worth; they've deceived me by promising better service and ended up taking more of my money.

I got Google one three months ago ! Google is better than iCloud and other apps to store pictures I had 15 gb of photos from 2008 on it ! Unfortunately you don’t have any control over what to upload from photo library ! And modern pics are much bigger in size consuming more space ! I had to limit the uploads giving limited control to Google over my cameras ! I think it should be me who should control what I want to store Google uploads everything and I waste days deleting those pictures I don’t need ! This app is out of control it needs correction and standard controls for clients

A Premium Price for a Broken Promise

Google One Ultra is marketed as a premium AI subscription for professional users. At nearly €300 per month, expectations are understandably high. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite of “Ultra” in almost every relevant aspect.

A core feature was removed mid-contract

When I subscribed (and renewed after a trial period), Veo Fast generations were effectively unlimited and did not consume credits. This was a decisive factor for continuing the subscription at this price point.

During an active billing cycle, Google unilaterally changed this:

Fast generations suddenly began consuming 10 credits per generation

My full 25,000 monthly credits were depleted

I did not use any Quality generations

The subscription price remained unchanged

There was no explicit consent, no proper warning, and no meaningful alternative. A new “Fast Low Priority (0 credits)” mode appeared later, but without clear communication and with significantly reduced usability for professional workflows.

Support failure at every level

Over two weeks, I interacted with more than 20 support agents and multiple “supervisors”. The experience was deeply frustrating:

Endless handovers (“this supervisor is out of office”)

Repetitive, scripted responses

No real investigation into logs or usage context

No ownership of the problem

Eventually, Google stated that there was “no technical path” to restore the credits or the original Fast Unlimited mode.

Compensation that borders on insulting

After weeks of disruption and lost work time, Google offered a €17.11 Google Play balance as “final compensation”.

This for a subscription costing nearly €300/month, used professionally, where the core value proposition was altered mid-contract.

The bigger problem: trust

AI tools like Veo require iteration. Results are inconsistent, and professional output often requires dozens of generations. Removing or throttling Fast generation fundamentally breaks the workflow.

More concerning than the pricing change itself is the precedent:

Core features can be removed at any time

“Premium” support offers no real protection

Users are effectively told to accept changes or leave

Conclusion

Google One Ultra is not suitable for professional users who rely on predictable costs and stable features. The pricing suggests a premium product, but the service, support, and contractual reliability do not match.

Until Google demonstrates transparency, contractual respect, and real premium support, I cannot recommend Google One Ultra to anyone working professionally with AI video generation.

Final verdict:
An expensive subscription with shifting rules, weak support, and no accountability. Proceed with extreme caution.

Hostage Situation

While now is usually the time of year for festive cheer, many of us feel like hostages in our own homes.
Back in the day sending emails was fun, it was therapeutic, it was a treat to receive a reply from your loved ones.
However as the ads money grew and the bosses filled their pockets excitement grew with the wealthy elites and soon sparked an idea.
They created a hostage scenario based on real life events, seen from the Middle East to Western Africa and through to South America.
A monthly charge would be inserted which no one could dodge.
Dodgers would find their mailboxes full and unable to receive valuable emails from loved ones.
Worldwide swords were lay to the ground as all surrendered to the almighty £20 a year charge.
