Thought I was dealing with H M land registry, when I discovered I wasn't and I had already paid for services that I then cancelled a refund was requested now they don’t answer emails within theirs or my time frames trying to talk to someone to sort this out is impossible. Fast and efficient ti take your money but customer service disappears when theres a problem.
Hopefully someone from the office will pick this up and actually contact me regardjng this matter

Ordered the documents easy to do and they were emailed less than 24 hours later

I chose online a register connected to an address. I paid. I then had a lovely email saying a contact number. I rang and was told there were 7 files connected to that address and they had sent me one already. The operative could not say whether 1938 onwards was covered in any of them even though that was in my original search, but they could send me the 7 for £200 odd. I asked what filing system they had if they could not tell which years were covered, she said there wasn't one and the contents could not be discovered. I refused the offer of the £200 for not even knowing whether the service I needed could be provided. A complete waste of time and money and I cannot believe there is no reference system.....

Very disappointed. I accessed the Registry online but was unsure which product I needed. I used the help button to request a phone call. This was arranged and I explained that I was researching the history of my house and wished to ascertain the build date and occupants/owners through time. I was told this would be provided by 3 documents which I purchased. This is not the case. None of the information requested is on these documents.

Be aware this is not the official HM Land Registry. I thought I was purchasing from the official LR but feel conned as they could call themselves something else to differentiate between the two but don't.

BEWARE!
If you google 'land registry', 'Online Land Registry' pay Google to be at the top of the search list.
Their 'logo' is designed to look like the 'official site'.
The one you want, that charges a fraction of the price of 'OLR', is 'HM Land Registry - GOV UK'.
As soon as I realised my mistake and had provided my credit card details and paid the extortionate £72 (HMLR charge £7 for the same thing) I cancelled the order.
This is the response I received from 'OLR':
"I can confirm that the £14 credit issued on 04/09/26 was correct. The remaining £58 cannot be refunded, as work on your application had already begun. Once processing has started, the right to a refund is waived under our Terms and Conditions".

Brilliant service, ordered in the morning and received my documents early afternoon. More expensive than the Gov site, but very efficient.

OnLand is an utter example of how companies are making money while mocking clients at the same time. When you go to their website to order documents, they make it so complicated that basically you have no idea what you get before paying for documents. Then when you call for support, they put you in a continuous loop between OnLand and Teranet and you are pressing the same buttons over and over for nothing. You pay about 6 CAD to view a map that you cannot download, then you pay over 40 CAD for two pages with minimum information on it, basically the list of owners. This has all the flags of a scam, and they should be audited.

I placed an order on a website whose name closely resembles the official UK Government Land Registry service. The documents they sell for £72-£90, plus additional fees, are available directly from HM Land Registry for £3.60 including VAT.

My order was placed at 11:49.
I emailed to cancel at 11:52, three minutes later.
I phoned their office at 11:58 to ensure the cancellation was received.
They acknowledged my cancellation at 11:53.

I selected their standard service, which has a stated delivery window of 24–48 hours. Despite this, they later claimed they “began processing within 3 minutes” and therefore refused a refund. This claim is inconsistent with their own behaviour, as they emailed me at 14:19 asking for the correct address, something they would not need if work had genuinely begun earlier.

The following day they emailed again saying they had “found the address” and asked whether I wanted to continue, even though I had already cancelled. After several emails, they stated they would “stop processing” but needed to “investigate” before refunding. Today they informed me they would not refund anything because they supposedly started work within three minutes of the order, a non‑priority service.

I have raised a dispute with my bank and will proceed through the small claims process if necessary. Consumers should be aware that the same documents can be obtained directly from the official Government website for £3.60, and that this company charges significantly more while refusing cancellation even when requested immediately. It appears that once they have your money, is theirs to keep whether the service was cancelled, delivered or withdrawn

This experience is exactly why consumer protection laws exist.

Sent the wrong documents and when I rang up about it the person was unhelpful.
You are charging me something I did not ask for which is fraud

I contacted Land Registry to start the process of changing the name on my parents' property deeds. The representative was pleasant and very helpful and completed the online form with ease. My overall experience with Land Registry was very positive.
