After about 1 year the onntrack 400 stopped working. Great service within warranty and it's working perfectly again. Strongly recommends it's a solid company with good commucation

Excellent Service/Support - 100% Recommend
Support from beginning to end was excellent. Their technical support guy even spent time with me answering my questions regarding the report findings prior to me authorizing completion of the work. They were also 1/3 the cost of a company in CA that tried scamming me out of $3300 for the same ~1TB recovery of photos/video.

Wasserschaden kein Problem
Mein Smartphone hatte einen Wasserschaden und ich konnte es nicht mehr einschalten, und habe keine I Cloud Sicherung gemacht. Ontrack konnte all meine Daten wiederherstellen.

Excellenter Service. Defekte HDD in Hamburg abgegeben, 4 Tage später lag Analyse vor, habe, da Datenrecovery nicht zeitkritisch war, Economy gewählt und nach 3 Wochen 99% der geretteten Daten auf neuer 1TB zusammen mit der defekten Disk erhalten. Sicher nicht ganz preiswert, würde es aber immer wieder dubiosen LowCost Internetangeboten vorziehen.

I thought I had lost my data forever but Ontrack retrieved it for me. Not cheap but worth every penny to get it all back. Excellent customer service from Perry and turned around in the time they promised, sent to me securely on an encrypted drive. Can't fault this company in any way.

Ontrack was able to recover my photos from my damaged flash drive the day after I mailed it. They have excellent customer service. They're a little pricey but when it comes to lost pictures and data, it's worth every penny.

L'assistenza telefonica è ottima ma secondo me ci fermiamo li.
Hdd da 500 Gb partizionato in due parti uguali, sistema operativo Mac10.11.6 ed altro computer con sistema Mac 10.12.6, garantito recupero dati al 99% con pagamento anticipato ma purtroppo dei 500 gb totali della capienza del disco originale, circa 168 sono inutilizzabili perché illeggibili oppure impossibili da aprire o codificare.Il primo hd di recupero non è stato possibile aprirlo in nessun modo nonostante tre computer diversi a disposizione, hanno fatto una ulteriore copia e pure quella ha avuto gli stessi problemi. Mi sono recato di persona presso la sede e mi hanno risposto che non è possibile testare l'hd in sede e quindi, a buon intenditor, provalo a casa e se non funziona è colpa tua perché chissà cosa hai combinato quando sei arrivato a casa. Così non va bene, non esiste contraddittorio in loco, paghi e basta, poi se non funziona è colpa tua, nonostante dichiarino che i loro tecnici non hanno rilevato nessun problema. Io uso Mac da più di venti anni, il mio collega svizzero,ing. informatico accreditato pure al Cern, non ne è venuto a capo di nulla. Mi sembra un pochino troppo facile, semplicistico e furbesco il sistema di lavoro che utilizzano.

Poor value for money and not what I requested.
The data recovery took 3 months to complete and the only information it downloaded were the files and info they KNEW I already had along with operating system info etc. which I specifically said I did not need (I asked for documents, images and downloads from a given time period.) When I complained I was told I could have the info I requested but had to pay even more money. Complete con.

WARNING: the diagnosis report means nothing: I paid over $1000 to receive corrupted, unusable files that were deemed "good" by the Company.
I needed to recover a little bit less than 1tb of data from a dropped HDD. Most of them are photos, with a few PDFs and TXT files here and there.
I sent the HDD to Ontrack, as it was the company recommended by the disks manufacturer. I already knew that I would spend several hundred euros and had no problem doing so because the files I wanted to retrieve were important to me.
I paid the 250 euro fee to have a diagnostic, which is absolutely fine. Communication was good, but the turnaround time stated on the website is bogus, so be prepared to wait a long time.
Almost 1.5 months later (instead of the 5-7 days they mention) I received a detailed diagnostic that stated that almost all of my files could be recovered. Over 250 thousands files were green, aka "good", "100% retrieved", with "NO STRUCTURAL or READ errors". 1500 other files were deemed "yellow" or "red", so either completely corrupted or partially retrieved, so might not open.
The report lead me to believe that most of my files had been saved. I was over the moon with happiness! I gladly accepted the invoice and paid over 800 euros.
I received the disk two days later, and got a nasty shock: 99% of the green/ok/good files are actually corrupted. You've read that right. The files with "no read error" or "structural errors" cannot open.
Basically, and this is absolutely crazy, there is ZERO difference between the "partially retrieved" files that I was warned might not open, and the"good" files that were supposed to be 100% retrieved. The "good" files cannot be opened, and if they can, which is the vast minority of them, it is missing half of its data (for example, photos are half black, or the text turned into gibberish) making it completely useless.
The report I paid 250 euros for was therefore not only useless, it was false, which is criminal for a company that claims they are the best in their field. The green files do have "structural" and "read" errors, contrary to what was told in the report. If I had known, I wouldn't have paid several hundred euros. Why would I pay over 1000 euros to receive useless files? What a joke.
What I paid for is basically a drive full of unusable files. What is the point of the $250 diagnostic then? Isn't it to let you know which files will work so you can actually decide if paying several hundred to get them is worth it?
So I send an email to the agent I've been talking with, and crickets... They no longer answer. Funny, they were very responsive when I hadn't payed yet, calling me on the phone, responding to my emails almost immediately. And now, they are nowhere to be found. You have 1 month to ask for help after the disk has been sent and they make sure to not answer so that time runs out on you. Despicable practice.
I've been completely misled by Ontrack because no one in their right mind would pay that much to receive corrupted files. I'm flabbergasted. I could have gone to any local repair shop and got the same result for for not even 1/5 of the cost.
