I have been on 3 trips with this company so far, each time they provided me with outstanding service. Their attention to client satisfaction is excellent. Their dedication to animal welfare and conservation shows in their safari trips which is why I was drawn to this company in the first place. They also provide add on trips to their safaris which are also very well organised that you don't have to worry about anything. Thank you Both for helping me make some wonderful memories. I definately recommend this company for Safari trips.

This trip was originally booked in Feb 2020....... so we all know what happened there! Sadly due to travel restrictions, visa issues and international politics the trip was postponed in 2021 and 2022. So a long time coming to the point in which we arrived in Delhi!
During the time that we had to wait the communication from Carol regarding all the ever changing situation with travelling to and/or entering India was exemplary.

We joined the small group safari hosted by Will and Carol. We arrived in Delhi and were greeted by the On Track Safari's team and taken to the Hotel.
We had elected to arrive 1 day early so that we could go on a private guided evening food tour on foot in Old Delhi. This was booked by Carol and her team with an outside company and was excellent.
The first day of the actual safari trip was a day being shown the sights and sounds of both New and Old Delhi, with visits to religious buildings, monuments and a rickshaw ride around the Chandni Chowk market. This in itself should not be missed and was a great way to ease a first time traveller to India into the culture and surroundings.

The travel between Delhi and the two chosen tiger reserves, Bandhavgarh and Kanha, was completed using a combination of an internal flight and road transfers.
The road transfers, while reasonably long (4-5hours depending on which leg of journey) were and excellent way to witness the real India. Travelling through very rural India by car is a thrilling treat and one that myself and my wife enjoyed immensely.

The two lodges we stayed at, Kings Lodge in Bandhavgarh and Earth Lodge in Kahna, were both of the highest quality. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

During the stay at each lodge we were given 5 drives into the respective national parks. The vehicles sat 4 people and were driven by a qualified Naturalist and a National Park Ranger was also present. Both the Naturalist and the Ranger would do their utmost to answer all questions and impart their knowledge and enthusiasm, even if at times there was a slight language barrier. But that adds to the fun and helps the information stick!

While staying at the lodges the food was excellent. The chefs make sure that there is plenty of choice, with food allergies and intolerance catered for with no issue at all. They even tailor the spice level so to avoid any, shall we say, delayed and sudden reactions while on game drive......... but fear not food lovers, this in no way made the food less authentic!

The organisation of the trip was hassle free with the fact that both Will and Carol were there. Both of them are fantastic kind people with plenty of stories to tell of their travels and exploits over the years. Will is never short of an anecdote or three.

So the trip finally went ahead and was a resounding success. Did we see Tigers? YES! Did we see a wide ranging amount of other species? YES! Birds and Deer and even Sloth Bear.

This is now the 4th Safari myself and my wife have completed with On Track Safaris. This time, as with all the others, has been effortless in the organisation and the completion of the trip, allowing us to relax into the swing of things to travel in India.

We honestly believe that there is no need to look for another company to travel with if you are looking for an ethical and responsible wildlife safari. That is why we have now completed 4 and the 5th is in the planning.

Excellent organisation and lots of useful information both before and after we booked our holiday. The accomodation and food was of a very high standard and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The safari experience itself exceeded all our expectations. The rangers and trackers were very professional and were more than happy give us lots of insights into the lives of the many animals we saw. We were impressed by their care and consideration for the animals and they didn't seem to mind answering our endless questions. Seeing the animals in their natural habitat was incredible and observing their behaviour was a real privilege. We will definitely book again with On Track Safaris. They gave us a holiday which none of us will ever forget.

Superbly put together experience by On Track Safaris. We were a group of 6 visiting 3 different camps. The accommodation, service, and game drives were all first class. We all had a holiday to remember and would definitely recommend On Track Safaris.
We stayed at Rukiya, Africa on Foot and Jackalberry Lodge, all different but very special in their own way. The leopard conservation work at Rukiya was interesting to hear about and we wish them good luck in the future with this. Africa on Foot was a great place to try out walking safaris, we felt safe at all times with out guide and tracker.
Jacalberry was a fantastic base to explore the Thornybush Game Reserve. The weather had been poor but we were lucky with our stay, just getting rained off once. However the conditions were challenging for the drivers and trackers, but they all put their heart and soul into making it a very special experience. All the people involved were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly.
First class trip.

Both Rukiya and Waterbuck Lodge are fantastic bush camps set well away from roads and the hustle and bustle of "normal" everywhere life. Perfect bases for safari outings enhanced by the helpful and friendly staff at both with just a few fellow guests - so no crowds. The wild life is amazing, and the safaris never boring. The food at both lodges was amazing and beautifully prepared and presented. The trackers and guides are friendly, knowledgeable and skilful. This was my second safari holiday with OTS, and lived up to expectations. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed.

Just few days ago we came back from our 4-week trip to South Africa and wanted to thank On Track Safaris for organising the most perfect safari at the start of our holiday. If you are planning a safari in South Africa look no further!

We planned our trip with On Track Safaris and paid the deposit in February 2020 but the Covid pandemic forced us to postpone our trip for 2 years, until December 2022. During this difficult period On Track Safaris team stayed in regular contact with us and were very helpful in adjusting and finalising details of our trip.

It was our first trip to Africa and the first ever safari, so we have asked for help in preparing an itinerary which would offer a diverse and authentic experience. We didn’t want very commercial and touristy 5*, accommodation but asked Carol to select smaller, quieter lodges in scenic locations.

Carol and her team perfectly understood our aspirations and organised an unforgettable 5-night trip. We spent 2 days in Klaserie Private Reserve and 3 days in Thornybush Game Reserve. Each lodge was different in character, but both were unique, beautiful and absolutely perfect.

The n’Thambo Lodge in Klaserie consist of 5 beautiful wooden treehouses and as the lodge itself is not fenced off the animals roam quite freely, coming right under the chalet. On arrival we were greeted by a sight of a bull elephant by the watering hole just few yards from our tree house! The accommodation was extremely comfortable and the game drives absolutely amazing.

Our second lodge, Tangala Safari Camp in Thornybush, offered a very different experience. Each morning and evening game drive provided most incredible encounters with animals; we have seen not only the ‘Big Five’ but lots of other species. As we were the only people staying there at the time we felt as if we were guests in a family home! Karien, who runs the lodge, was the most wonderful hostess and her staff looked after us extremely well.

Thanks to On Track Safaris we had a truly wonderful holiday. Everything has been planned and organised with absolute perfection and great attention to detail end the entire trip exceeded our expectations. Carol and her team could not be more helpful and came to our rescue after we missed our connecting flight from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit.

We cannot wait to travel with On Track Safaris again.

Snow Leopard Safari. This was our third safari with On Track Safaris and it was incredible. Very different to our trips to South Africa and the Pantanal, but no less amazing. The trip was well formatted and managed, giving all of the small group time to become used to the elevation before heading to Snow Leopard Lodge at around 14,000 ft. The accommodation in New Delhi and Leh was excellent, and the Lodge was really good. The food was really good and lots of it. We were lucky enough to view 2 snow leopard sightings as well as wolves. Will was informative and helpful, the spotters were amazing and the drivers and staff were perfect. Highly recommended.

An outstanding trip with decent snow leopard, wolf and other wildlife sightings. The accommodation and food were first class. Snow Leopard Lodge is a little basic but it was very comfortable and warm. The guides and spotters at Snow Leopard Lodge were excellent spending many hours searching the high mountains. Don't expect the close encounters of animals which you may be used to from African safaris. However, the thrill of seeing something so rare is just as good. At our request On Track booked us an extension to Satpura and Kaziranga parks. Both were excellent with great viewings although as expected tigers were not the main attraction. Again the accommodation and guides were first class. The On Track support team in India made our transfers and flights run very smoothly. We booked this trip pre-covid and it was well worth the waiting for. We have travelled many times with On Track Safaris and their quality and value for money is head and shoulders above any other company.

What a wonderful experience I have just come back from. OTS know their stuff and are very communicative from start to finish.

I was on a 12 night South African Kruger safari experience, staying in 4 different lodges in different private parks. All were different experiences but all were wonderful lodges with good food and extremely knowledgeable guides and trackers making you feel safe in their hands.

I highly recommend OTS and hope to venture on more of their trips.

We have travelled with OTS numerous times, and when my partner proposed on our Botswana trip with On Track it seemed only fitting we asked them to plan our honeymoon…..2 weeks in South Africa followed by 6 nights in Mozambique. Will and Carol were helpful right from the offset and advised us on lodges and also recommended Sabi Sands as we had never been to this reserve. They have so much experience and knowledge in this area we knew we could trust their advice. All I can say is WOW!!! This honeymoon must have been one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. All our trips with on track have been unforgettable and I always wonder how they can improve on the last, but somehow they managed it.
All 3 lodges, Rukiya on the Wild Rivers reserve, Nzumba on the Klaserie and Elephant Plains at Sabi Sands were all absolutely first class in their own unique and wonderful way (I have left separate reviews for these), with the icing on the cake being Sava Dunes in Mozambique……stunning is all I can say, if you haven’t been then go, it’ll blow your mind with its sheer beauty.
Everything from game drives, food, accommodation, staff, at all lodges was outstanding. My (now) husband is gluten intolerant and he was catered for better in S. Africa and Mozambique than he is in this country.
The organization by OTS is spot on, from arranging and booking our internal flights, and arranging transfers to and from the lodges. All we had to do was book our flights from the uk to Johannesburg…..that was literally it. Everything else was done for us. We were able to relax and enjoy without worrying about anything else. In fact all the thinking we had to do was what we’d like to drink in the evenings 😊 or for our sundowners on the evening game drives!
We’d both like to say a massive thank you to all the OTS team, especially Will and Carol and not forgetting Joanne who kept us informed with details etc, for such an incredible honeymoon.
If anyone is planning a Safari you are in safe hands with On Track and will be guaranteed the trip of a lifetime 😊

An absolutely astonishing experience. It is difficult to think how the trip could be improved. The organisation at each of the three lodges, the quality of the accommodation, and outstanding Guides and Trackers; made this the trip of a lifetime. I would recommend On Track Safaris to anyone.

The most wonderful experience from start to finish.
Our covid delayed safari finally took place this September and it was well worth the wait.
The On Track team have been very supportive throughout the testing times of lockdowns and travel bans and have kept us informed every step of the way. As safari first timers they gave us good advice and prepared us for this wonderful holiday - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend On Track (and have been doing so at every opportunity). Everything was well organised, and transfers from airport and lodges running like clockwork.
We stayed at Rukiya, Nzumba and Thornybush lodges each had their own identity and were delightful. Thornybush is a 5 star hotel in the bush, Rukiya a private game lodge with a delightful host and excellent service. Nzumba was a combination of the two - we were welcomed like friends and treated like royalty, an experience never to be forgotten.
All three lodges provided wonderful game experiences - the guides delivered each drive with individuality and demonstrated their in depth knowledge and spotting skills. We saw the big 5 and so much more.
Right from our first meeting with the On Track Team at the Destination Show we have been impressed with their professionalism, support and friendliness. We can't wait to plan our next adventure with On Track.

Found On Track Safaris via the Destinations Show (organised by The Times Travel) in Manchester Booked originally in 2019 for travel in 2020, rescheduled twice due to Covid restrictions. Had no issues with finances as paid the original deposit when I booked and we left the deposit with them. One of the original destinations (of 3 different lodges) had closed and they sourced a new one. Kept us up to date at all times with options if we wanted to change anything. When I had questions, the phone or emails were answered very quickly.
We were a little nervous travelling to Johannesburg as there are so many horror stories out there about the place, but we decided to arrange the flights and stay in Joberg ourselves and it was fine. We were given lots of pointers of what to take etc and we felt safe at all times. Even pictures and phone numbers provided of the people meeting us at the airport. The transfers at the different lodges were all arranged for us and arranged to ensure we had an early morning game drive before each departure.
Lodges themselves were great, and ending with a luxury lodge at Klaserie Park, set around a watering hole where you could sit and watch elephants, giraffes, warthogs and even hyenas come to drink. There was a presentation at the first lodge (Rukiya) that lasted around half an hour around the work that the Leopard Conservation does and how your trip is helping.
Met a couple that had booked a trip through another company and they told us of the Park that they’d just stayed at which sounded very much like a drive at Knowsley Safari Park instead of what we’d experienced. All in all, ours felt very exclusive and we were with a group where we stayed together for the entire 9 days, (2 of which had used OTS before) which meant no getting to know new people, wasting time introducing each other, talking through rules etc. Already planning the next one and would recommend without hesitation.

We decided to leave a few days earlier on the 12th, although the safari didn't begin until the 15th. This was a precautionary measure incase we had to amend travel arrangements given flight cancellations. Fortunately for us no issues so arriving in Cuiaba on the 13th gave us a couple of days to acclimatise and get excited about what was to come.
During this time we met our guide Raul. He turned out to be a mine of local and wildlife knowledge and great fun. An amazing guy and guide.
Over the whole trip the two of us who were gluten and dairy free were pleasantly surprised by what the lodges managed to provide for us over the whole trip.
On the 15th we left for the first lodge, Pouso Alegre, where we stayed for two nights. Here we enjoyed an array of bird life including toucans, coatis and other animals seen on the night drives as well as amazing sunsets. A great start to the adventure.
We then moved onto Porto Jofre after a very long and bumpy ride in an open sided truck, travelling over numerous bridges. Not a comfortable experience and one we needed to endure on the way back. The bonus was the amount of bird life we saw on the way down and back as well as wildlife. We managed to see numerous raptors, various storks and egrets, hyacinth macaws, caiman of all shapes and sizes, capybara sunbathing on the road, Marsh deer and two anacondas. Everyday became an adventure and wondering what might turn up.
At Porto Jofre we were met by a very skillful boat driver. Between him and Raul they maximised what we saw from our 4 days. Over the period we saw so many caiman that we became fussy about the photos we took, 19 jaguars of which 16 were different as we saw a female with her two grown cubs twice. We were fortunate to see on jaguar swim across the fast flowing Cuiaba river and another running off with a capybara. The bird life was unbelievable with parrots, kingfishers among those we saw. We were also fortunate to see giant river otters. Amazing creatures to see playing and eating. Whilst here we were treated to some evening lectures by a young man working for Southwild. Very informative.
Sadly the 4 days went very quickly but we were left with so many indelible memories with a number of them captured on camera.
So the long journey back to our final destination on the safari. That was to be at St Theresa Lodge. Here there was a tower to scale which enabled us to see baby Jabiru Storks. Our first evening saw our luck held as we walked out to see 3 ocelot. Other guests drew blanks on the evenings they went out. In the morning we walked out of the rooms and met a crab eating fox on the lawn! What a sight to see and behold.

A big thank you to Raul the drivers, our hosts at the 3 lodges for ensuring we were comfortable, well fed and although on safaris there are no guarantees as to what you might see everyone did their best to ensure to maximise our experience and adventure.
A trip all 4 of us highly recommend to anyone considering undertaking it.

This was a first safari experience, eagerly anticipated since 2020. There were many changes of plan along the way, due to both the Pandemic and personal preferences. Carol Fox and the office team provided support and guidance with this throughout, which was particularly valuable in allowing us to mesh the trip with a second, guided tour along the Cape to follow the safari. On Track clearly have a wealth of experience of South Africa and safaris, and this showed throughout. We were able to visit four separate private Kruger reserves over 11 days and each gave a different perspective, ending with a pre-arranged guided tour through the Drakensberg mountains to Johannesburg. On the multiple game drives we saw the Big Five, the Ugly Five, wild dogs and even a pangolin (maybe an aardvark and honey badger next time). The enthusiasm of the guides and trackers was infectious, and they were keen to give us a good and authentic experience. They also conveyed a serious interest in conservation and were keen to help in research, as demonstrated when we set up camera traps to monitor animal movements. The accommodation was varied from luxury tent to a self-contained apartment at different sites and was of a good to very good standard throughout, as was the food. We will definitely be looking to travel with On-Track again.

For my first time traveling internationally, my experience was wonderful. Nothing goes as planned sometimes, but that's part of the experience, and I had a wonderful adventure on a detour one day. Communication was great when I had any questions.

Great trip, saw lots of wild life. Comfortable lodges. Had a great time.
