I had very pleasant meeting in OPSM with young lady
That answered my questions at ALTONA branch .
Had eye exam day after and ordered my glasses .
I was informed it would take 7/10 to fill my order
I did wait little longer . Collected them today pleased with the result.
I did go to Specsavers Highpoint asked question and was handed leaflet to get rid me.
My glasses are top range over $1000 so they missed out .

Got talked into buying designer glasses I couldn’t really afford — smooth operators, I’ll give them that. Called two hours later to cancel, but got the full charm offensive. Went back the next morning to try again — rejected faster than a bad Tinder date.
It’s now been 13 days, and I’m still waiting for my $500 refund so I can buy the glasses I actually need. At this point, I’m walking around half-blind, praying my vision returns before my money does.
Apparently once OPSM Epping gets your cash, it enters witness protection — non-refundable, untraceable, and possibly guarded by dragons.
10/10 for sales talk. 0/10 for basic decency.

Optometrist wrote down the incorrect prescription and when I went back to get them glasses sorted the optometrist (not the original one) asked if I had suffered concussion. After retesting discovered it was their error. No apology......
Atrocious customer service
Atrocious customer service, incorrect prescription and failed to provide a solution to rectify their fault. As they they say “should have gone to….”
Even their corporate staff were incompetent.
Worst service ever
First they tried to over charge me for a replacement pair of prescription glasses I had to get the assistant to call her supervisor to get it right
Then 2 weeks later I visited the store to see where my glasses were and was told that they were at the factory awaiting fitting - they didn’t require fitting. Assistant promised to txt me that day. No txt. Called the next day a phone was answered on the 8th call. No news and promised to call back
Called into the store 2 days later no record of the glasses in their system now. I asked for a refund assistant not authorised to give refunds. Emailed using the form on OPSM website. It seems no one ever reads these 3 weeks later and no acknowledgment
Called help desk in Australia finally someone competent. Took them 3 days to get a response from the store, St Heliers then one more email and three phone calls later a refund. No offer to make a replacement order, no apology just 4 weeks without prescription glasses and over 4 hours of my life wasted. Store over the road provided replacements in 4 days. OPSM useless

Glasses were useless - blurred vision!!!! told me i just needed to get used to them ... never again! the glasses did not match the vision i got in the examination ... not sure what's going on there. Having already paid for the glasses, I was so upset about it i just left them with the glasses.

OPSM Macquarie have been our preferred supplier for eye testing and optical wear. They have an excellent range of frames including the high end ones eg Chanel
Our most recent experience at OPSM Macquarie was outstanding, because of our wonderful sales assistant Susan.
Susan spent ample time with us choosing our frames, was professional and respectful. She remained calm even when it became quite busy. We did not feel rushed and valued her opinion on frame selection.
We returned for our fitting and requested her service. Susan was again amazing.
OPSM are very fortunate to have a sale assistant like Susan. She is a gem! Need more people like her in sales.
disgusting customer service
purchased optical glasses online at opsm and within less than a year the anti-fog/anti-glare/anti-scratch film protective coating $$$ started to erode away. I went in store and I was told that I would have to go through the online channel of returns,repairs, refunds, in-store cannot help me.??? Long story short, I was not offered any contacts or replacement options, refund was the only solution but after I send in my glasses. Even though I had no others and being -4.75 made no difference to the outcome. I just had to wait.!!! 3 months it took to get a refund. That was just simply 4-5 days to reply to emails and 4-5 days to check on the status and etc etc etc. Absolute disgusting service. 3 months without being able to see

Excellent Experience at OPSM…
I had a fantastic experience at OPSM Craigieburn from start to finish. The team provided exceptional customer service not only during my eye exam and while helping me choose my new glasses, but also long after the transaction was complete.
What truly impressed me was their ongoing support — when I needed my glasses repaired, they were just as attentive, helpful, and professional as they were on day one. Everyone I dealt with was courteous and friendly, creating a welcoming and supportive environment throughout.
A special thanks to Seyma and Maddi, who went above and beyond to ensure I was well taken care of. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail truly stood out. I highly recommend OPSM Craigieburn for anyone looking for quality eye care and outstanding service.
WORST COMPANY TO DEAL WITH EVER. RIP OFF
I can't give a negative 100 on this as the star rating is 1 to 5. This is the WORST company ever. Do not order contact lenses with this company. I have several delays with my order. No communication to say there was a delay and I have to chase them. Can't speak to anyone to provide answers or solutions. Just some contact centre in Sydney who all read off a script. Don't waste your money time or energy.
Surprised by the reviews
Surprised by the reviews. OPSM George St Sydney, I was really gladdened by the treatment I received from the Optometrist and Sales Team. So much so that I reflected that it was a fair time since I had received such care. Secondly, the process of getting the glasses was very professional and thorough compared to my previous experience with a different group. Lastly, a 25% discount. I don't usually write reviews but I was very impressed.
Ordered lenses and still not arrives…
Ordered lenses and still not arrives after 17 days despite confirmation e-mail stating 5-7 days. Tried e-mailing and someone responded saying they'd get someone to look into it. Tried calling and the same thing. Was told someone would get back to me in 2 days time. Ridiculous, in the meantime I'm having to play sport without lenses, glasses fog up. I have a tournament coming up and am not hopeful I'll have lenses in time. Terrible service. Buy elsewhere not worth the hassle, reliable delivery and good customer service this is NOT.
Extremely Poor Customer Service
I bought my Louis Vuitton sunglasses and had the lenses done at the OPSM in Highpoint appox 6 months ago. When I bought it at LV, it fitted me perfectly. After inserting the lenses for my short sightedness. The frame became loosen so did not wear much. Today 10/6 I came to OPSM in Highpoint to get it fixed. I received a very poor service. 1) No greeting 2) DO NOT CARE attitude - The staff came and told me she could not fix it because she did not want to damage the frame not because OPSM has no tools.
3) NO Competence and So Unprofessional
Very disappointed when you spent a lot of monies here and received a very poor service.

Prescribed and issued me with unwearable glasses despite my input apparently they can see through my eyes better than I can I have an unusual set of peepers I guess but I'm the one that's been looking through them for nearly half a century and without going into detail from the get go I had little confidence from the receptionist to the optometrist whom seemed very green to the industry like they were fresh out of school. SPEC SAVERS ALL THE WAY never had issue with them.
OPSM Ballina Poor After Sales Customer Service
My first time going to OPSM Ballina. The optometrist & staff were very patient & considerate of my needs. A very pleasant experience. Everything was explained thoroughly & in a way that I could easily understand. I highly recommend the Team☺️, UNTIL😠
😡Yes all was good until I had to take my $900 + new glasses back as they needed some adjustments. After my problem was remedied I asked the Sales Assistant if I could possibly have a small cleaning cloth as I had misplaced the one that came with my glasses. I was told & I quote, "sorry but we don't carry any spare ones, we only have what comes with each pair of glasses ordered" end quote. I was astounded & said to the Sales Assistant, "I just paid nearly a thousand dollars for my glasses & you're telling me you don't have any spares cleaning clothes that would probably cost OPSM 10 cents if that". My question to OPSM is, if you don't have spare cleaning cloths, what do you use to clean customers glasses with when they come in store to have their glasses seen to. Pretty poor after sales assistance if you ask me.
I went back to OPSM Ballina Fair today & asked to see the Manager. I explained the service I had received 4 days prior & immediately she gave me a spare glasses wipe & apologised profusely. Thank you OPSM Ballina for coming to an amicable outcome 😊
The current state of the company...
The current state of the company is shambolic. As a 20 year customer, it's sad to see such decline. I have had increasingly negative experiences in store over the last few years and the online customer experience is an after thought. The customer care number listed directs you to the local store which cannot help with online orders, only to receive an email reply 4 days later saying that is too late to resolve the issue (when they were contacted immediately after this issue arose). Will not be giving them my business going forward.
OPSM Customer Care used to block customer complaintsce…
I wrote to OPSM Customer Care since September 2024. I was told someone with this name & another name will call. But, no one called. Told by call centre that my complaint is with legal team. But, no date is set for a response. Was advised to simply wait forever! This is not good that OPSM use the call centre to block resolution of customer complaints!
Today, I called to make appointment to check whether was there an error in the recorded eye test report. Although no reading glasses were made, it was recorded that this 'supposed' reading glasses not made, could correct my distance unaided from 6/6 Right & 6/12 Left to become 6/6 for both eyes and enabled my close reading from unaided N10 o N5 for both eyes! This must be an amazing and incredible reading glasses, which can correct both distance and near, without having to make it!
In reality, my eye surgeon did a YAG capsulotomy to my left eye a year after this 'supposed' ghost reading glasses were made!
Frustrating and Unacceptable Service
I’ve had one of the worst customer service experiences with OPSM, and I feel compelled to warn others. I live on a remote property, so making a trip to an OPSM store is a major commitment. I ordered glasses from the Port Macquarie store, which required a three-hour return drive, and was told they would arrive in about six weeks. After patiently waiting, I finally went to pick them up—only to find out they had delivered someone else’s glasses instead.
Frustrated but trying to stay patient, I later visited the Brisbane CBD store to go through the entire process again. After another long wait, I went to collect my glasses—only to be refused my own order until I returned the wrong pair that they had originally given me. This was THEIR mistake, yet I was the one being inconvenienced a second time.
Now, after three months, I still don’t have my glasses. Not only has OPSM wasted my time and fuel, but their complete lack of accountability and customer care has made this an infuriating experience. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Terrible Customer Service – Dishonest and Unprofessional
This was one of the worst shopping experiences I’ve had in 40 years.
I urgently needed a new pair of glasses after mine broke. I typically wear a specific Ray-Ban model due to its extra-long adjustable nose pad arms. Since OPSM doesn’t stock glasses, I purchased the display model instead. Eleni, the staff member assisting me, assured me everything was fine. However, once home, I removed my contact lenses and noticed the nose pads were deformed from excessive adjustments. I called immediately, but Eleni dismissed my concern, insisting, "We checked it together, and there was nothing wrong!"—ignoring the fact that I couldn’t properly inspect them without my reading glasses.
The next morning, I returned to the store. The shop manager, rather than addressing the issue, became passive-aggressive and suggested my optometrist had adjusted them—completely disregarding that I had purchased the display model from OPSM. Eventually, she agreed to order a new pair, promising they would arrive sealed.
Fifteen business days passed with no update. After three weeks, I called again. Eleni claimed the new glasses had arrived but admitted she opened the package because it had no name on it—contradicting the previous promise that it would remain sealed.
When I went to collect them, another staff member placed the glasses in a tray for me. This time, I used my phone’s magnifier to inspect them. Once again, they had given me the same faulty display model! They continued to insist it was a new pair and that they never sell display models—yet when I demanded to see the store’s display model, they couldn’t provide it!!
Eleni also falsely claimed she had returned the original defective pair, despite never having placed an order in the system. The entire experience was full of dishonesty, from selling a used display product to making empty promises and outright lying.
