I have recently purchased an Optimum cycling rucksack, already two of the seems have split, great looking bit of kit but a won't be buying any more products from you.

Great style hard wearing rugby boots, my son loved the colour, packaged well and lasted until he outgrew them.

Optimum sports UK has the best rugby protective gear. I've bought plenty of times it's inferno pads be it for me or friends at my club. It's price and quality far surpasses top brands which are in fact heavily overpriced.

Shopped online for some fairly well-priced shoes, managed to find the Aztec laceless range, which is exactly what i was looking for.

I purchased a set of balls from Optimum for approximately €195 and paid €24 for shipping at checkout.

Only after the order had been dispatched did I learn that I would also have to pay €45 in import duties, plus €30 in customs clearance and administration fees, bringing the total additional cost to €75.

My main disappointment is not the existence of import duties themselves, but the lack of clear information before purchase. During checkout, the destination country is requested, so it would have been helpful to clearly warn EU customers that shipments from the UK may incur not only import taxes but also significant clearance fees.

When I contacted customer service, I was informed that the order could not be cancelled because it had already been shipped. The only alternative offered was to refuse delivery and wait for the parcel to be returned before any refund could be considered.

The products may be perfectly good, but the overall buying experience was frustrating due to the unexpected additional costs and the limited flexibility offered once the issue was raised.

Based on this experience, I would not purchase from Optimum again.

For Christmas, I received a kicking tee bought from this company. However, after about 10 kicks off my brand new tee, one of the pegs snapped off meaning the ball no longer stands up straight on the tee making conversions difficult. I am very disappointed as I was very much looking forward to improving my kicking with this tee. In regards to taking steps forward, I would really appreciate it if the company would offer me a new kicking tee of the one I had or a different, more substantial model.

The kicking tee I was given at Christmas one of the pegs broke after 10 kicks I am extremely disappointed wouldn’t recommend

Great but of rugby kit and a great response from their customer service when there was a glitch with the courier. Can't fault them.

Paid extra for next day delivery because I wanted to take the item on holiday, but arrived a day late meaning that I couldn't. No response at all from customer service. Had I known Optimum Sports.com use Everi(Hermes), I would never have purchased the item. Knowing the terrible reputation of Evri/Hermes, why are you still using them?
