If I could rate them a 0 I would. I pay $100 monthly for my puppy’s paw protect insurance, the most expensive option because I wanted to be assured he is protected as well as my finances. Our very first claim submitted was denied. Their reasoning was that the day I submitted the claim ($1800 vet bill) is that my dog had a “pre-existing condition” of vomiting. In his initial pet visit there was a note on his record that he vomited from eating too fast, completely unrelated to the medical emergency 18 days later involving vomiting. Despite my attempts to dispute the denial, including getting notes from my vet backing me up, they are continuing to deny my claim. I’m not getting $1300 of the roughly $1500 I should be getting back if this was covered and I’m wasting $100/month paying for his policy. I’m ending this policy immediately after only having it for one month. Don’t even bother.

They will deny every claim even a UTI! Don’t waste your money. Nationwide and State Farm are better. They told me third parties like paw protect are scams. Every single claim I submitted has been denied. Stay away. Don’t say you haven’t been warned

Paid policy for 6 months, did a claim for an itchy foot and they said it was pre existing…are you kidding…
Don’t buy their insurance, as soon as you make a claim they will say it’s not covered, Rip off and dishonest.

Stay away from this company that will find any excuse to deny a claim based on pre-existing conditions. There are many companies out there, do your research first.

The worst customer service. I made a payment 3 days before the cancellation of my policy. And they told me that they did not guarantee that my policy would be active even if I made the payment in advance. Well, they consider the account up to date when the money is received and not when the client makes the payment.

The reason I signed up for Paw Protect was the $5000 credit line, but they removed it so I had to cancel and switched to a different insurance company. They’re very slow to respond via emails and had a long wait time to get someone on the phone.
