The site is essentially a catalogue that buyers and sellers can use to acquire pets. The site seems straightforward to use. However, if you decide to buy, the site whacks a 10% fee on top of the advertised price, just for the pleasure of them holding your money and a so called guarantee - there was a 3 minute video before I was allowed to make the purchase, detailing all the myriad ways the website apparently benefits my life, but no warning of the extra fee. When I thought I was only needing to provide £40 deposit to secure the pet, I actually had to provide the full purchase price plus 10% fee, so £275. This was a shock to me at the time. However if you have a problem, you have to wade through pages of FAQs, there is no contact number or customer service. I tried to cancel a purchase due to hospital operations being finally scheduled and am still being charged the 10% fee and have lost the deposit. I won't be using this site again as I don't believe it actually protects the welfare of the animals.

You cannot trust the advertising - 5 week Pet insurance is not what you would expect e.g. Free for 5 weeks, They do not disclose that there is £175 Excess plus 20% of the treatment. We purchased a pet and within 24 hours we had our new dog at the Vet, then tried to claim £211.20 which was treatment cost during the 5 weeks, but insurance is NOT FREE. won't use Pets4Homes again

Getting a pet is adding to your family so it’s very important you get the right fit. The pet must be healthy and happy and doing it through pets4homes is I think the best way to do it. They guarantee that if for whatever reason something goes wrong you can turn to them. You pay a fee to them when you pay the deposit it’s well worth it to ensure both parties are happy. I found our new family member this way and we could not be happier.

***FRAUDULENT WEBSITE AVOID**** One star is too high a score for a company that commits blatant fraud. Pets4Homes took my £80 which I paid in good faith to reserve two pets. Shortly after asking me to verify my identity, I received an email telling me I had breached t&cs and therefore had blocked my account. I challenged this asking for explanation as to which I was in breach of and was flippantly told it was against their privacy policy to reveal this. I had no way to reclaim my money nor complete the transaction with the breeder. I will be reporting this as a fraudulent transaction and company to my bank.

Avoid this scam and fraudulent website at all costs.

I was able to see where the dogs are from as a lot of the sites dont tell you so you get very disapointed and you explain the dogs needs as well to see if you are able to look after them

My previous review and comment as this is the first time me using this portal to rehome and purchase a cat. I was pleasantly surprised how smoothly everything has gone within a week. All the pros and cons were answered and all the documentation completed. First class effort from the whole support team at Pets4Homes.

Excellent experience. You can trust that the breeders are genuine and that you can have peace of mind knowing your new pet is covered should the unfortunate happen. Would recommend and will definitely use again.

Great site, well organised

After uploading photos I was emailed that my advert was live then after uploading my ID I was prompted to boost for £9.99 which I did then then my account was put on hold they say for breach of Their conditions but have yet to tell me what I did wrong I'm really disappointed in this site now I feel I've been shrugged of after paying the boost

Brings exactly the search I've requested fast and well displayed to enable me to react quickly, definitely very happy and rate them very highly

Easy and straight forward.

Made buying a pet a lot less stressful as both the deposit and balance payments were managed safely and there are various guarantees for if something is drastically wrong after you get the pet home.
Allowed the breeder to keep in touch with me in the period between paying The deposit and collection.
The five weeks free health insurance was a nice bonus too.

Blocked my account and accused me of being a puppy farmer, this was my only litter, when asked to see other litters i was supposed to have had, i was ignored!!
This is a scam site and everyone should stay well clear, they are after your ID
Ps, if you breed more than 3 litters per year, you have to be council accredited, i was not because i have never bred 3 or more than 3 litter’s per year.
They asked me for passport, driving licence, a up to date house bill, all the mobile numbers iv ever had, and other documents, I personally think they are using people’s ID!!!

I get regular notifications however not found the right dog as yet. Live in hope
