PDF PAW is a scam!

Lisa promises a refund of the monies PDF Paw scammed off me, then disappears with no refund,

In January, I paid $1.45 for a one-time document service. I got slammed into a so-called monthly subscription at $39.99 each charge for a subscription I neither wanted nor knowingly agreed to. Even worse, in six months, I've been billed seven "monthly" subscription charges.
Initial one-time, 10 Jan with subsequent "monthly" $39.99 charges on:
16 Jan -- 27 days to
12 Feb -- 24 days to
8 Mar -- 25 days to
2 Apr -- 24 days to
26 Apr -- 27 days to
23 May -- 26 days
18 Jun
Which is several days less than four weeks for a "month".
This is a total scam.
This is totally predatory.
This is illegal and criminal behavior.

Lisa, the customer support person that handled the issue I had with PdfPAW, was very timely and responsive. She refunded me for the unauthorized by me subscription that was charged to my debit card, and even though the refund took longer than I would have hoped, it got credited just as she said it would. Thank you Lisa!

Habe eine Abbuchung über 39.99 erhalten, obwohl ich nicht bewußt die App gekauft habe. Nach Reklamation wurde die Rücküberweisung veranlasst.Das war sehr unproblematisch und ich erhielt eine sofortige Antwort von Lisa. Super!

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, diese Antworten einem auch sehr schnell sollte es ein Problem geben.

Succeeded where other PDF to EPUB converters failed, paid 0.99 cents for 5 days of full access. Worth it.

Ich habe vor wenigen Tagen der einmaligen Konvertierung einer pdf-Datei für 0,99€ zugestimmt und stelle heute fest, dass pdfpaw.com mir ganze 39,99 abgebucht haben! Zu keinem Zeitpunkt habe ich einem solchen Abo zugestimmt. Ich werde das anfechten und warne davor, sich auf diese Seite zu begeben.

Nachtrag: ich habe auf meine Beschwerde hin eine prompte Antwort bekommen, sie haben mein Abo gekündigt und das Geld wird mir nicht abgebucht. Immerhin.

I was mistakenly charged a full year subscription after using the site to convert one file. I sent an email to support and received an immediate reply and a full refund. That was such a pleasant surprise. Thank you, Lisa!

The support was quick, efficient , correct and done with a friendly email - all very rare to get these days.

Very easy to use app. Converted my pdf to my phone and I could read and edit the doc with no problem. I highly recommend this program.

Do not give this company your credit card information. They use highly deceptive tactic to trap you into an expensive, unauthorized monthly subscription.

I signed up for what was very clearly advertised as a "5 days limited access plan" for a one-time fee of $0.99. What they don't show you upfront is the microscopic fine print hidden at the very bottom of the checkout page. That fine print turns your $0.99 payment into an automatic $39.99/monthly subscription.

When I caught the charges and contacted their support, they refused to refund the stolen money. They only agreed to refund the last $39.99 charge, leaving me out $280.92 for a service I never wanted, never used past the initial 5 days, and never explicitly agreed to subscribe to.

Reading other complaints on Reddit, it's obvious this is their entire business model. They know exactly what they are doing. I have already filed formal complaints with my credit card company to dispute the charges and reported them to the FTC for deceptive billing practices. Stay far away from PDFpaw.

It is very easy to use. You can get started right away. Everything is wonderful.
