Their website guaranteed these parts would fit my porsche
Their website guaranteed these parts would fit my porsche, they did not. Now I am on the hook for return shipping. How is that a thing?
Wrong parts sent, no communication, false advertising
placed several orders in the past with them, almost each time something would go wrong - incorrect part shipped, had to return it at my expense; the last order (a thermostat for my Cayenne) didn't ship at all, although it was advertised as being in stock, and they never notified me. Do yourself a favor, skip this company - there are other, more reliable Porsche vendors out there.
Dishonest thieves
DONT TRUST THE FAKE REVIEWS HEAD OVER TO TRUSTPILOT.
My partner ordered me a clutch fork for my mini here and it was taking so long to arrive so we emailed them about it and they just said that they tried calling our phone (never happened) and we didn’t answer and now our part and our money is gone.
THIEVES BEWARE
Stole my part and my money
I bought a clutch fork for a mini was very expensive. I was just asking where is my package and they said that someone tried to call my cell (never happened). Them they said that my part is considered abandoned and I won't be getting my part or my money back.
Basically robbed me these guys are gangsters beware.
Hopeless response.
My email read
Struts for 1997 Volvo S90
"Dear Sir,
Invoice number1541994606-783
Bill of sale dated 13 November 2018 .
These struts were fitted to my car, odometer reading 257759 kms, by a Volvo specialist on 22 November 2018.
On 9 October this year, the same specialist showed me that both struts needed replacing. The odometer reading was 274462 kms, so the struts had lasted only 16703 kms. I drive very little these days.
This is truly appalling. I paid $186.00 for the two struts.
Might I suggest that you cease selling these obviously inferior parts?
And would you like to refund me what I paid for these struts?
Pelican Parts merely sent me an email saying that the warranty expired after 2 years, and did not seem to be bothered enough to comment on my view that the parts were inferior.
Let's hope no-one else buys these egregiously hopeless shocks!
Targa top seal high price wrong Part. Really OE??
Bought a Targa top seal for my '82 911. It was sold as Porsche Genuine Parts and it matched per their sales person and website. The Price was $ 600! It did not match, not even close, additionally on delivery it was already torn and bore no bag tag or label with the Porsche trademark; leading me to doubt it was really a Porsche OE part.
A bit of pushback on the return.
Their emails states "free shipping over…
Their emails states "free shipping over $99.00" I placed an order of over $950.00 and was charged a shipping. I called them and ask why was I charged a shipping when it should be free. They claim bec it was over 20 pounds. I didn't order any large size item such as a hood etc that required freight shipping. Never have I order parts from a site where they said free shipping and then there is a mere 20 pound weight limit. False Advertisement!
Poor customer support for correcting or combining orders updated remedied
Update
I changed my review rating from 1 star to 4 star because they did attempt to remedy my problem. They refunded the shipping cost on my second order and if any duties incurred they said they would pay. It does go some way to remedying the problem as the shipping cost was large. This is what you expect to happen. So maybe they have turned the corner in terms of poor customer service. Time will tell. I will give them another go as the shipping options are good, I just be more careful on checking my cart is correct.
They wrote
“ We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. We really dropped the ball on this order and want to make it right. We have refunded the shipping cost on order. If there are any duties/taxes paid, please attach the receipt to this message so that I may review with our management team.”

Original review
I order some items and somehow when checking out my cart an item (scanner) got added to my cart and the item I actually had order removed.
At the time I should have checked more throughly the correct items were in my cart. At the time I thought they were just suggestions, and could ignore. My advice check your cart before hitting buy.
I contacted their help desk straight away via email, but by the time they responded they conveniently said the order had already been dispatched from the warehouse.
I put a new order for the missing item, and received a confirmation message that my two orders were flagged to be combined. Which suggests my first order hadn’t left the warehouse at all.
But the response back from their customer support contact again was sorry no the orders weren’t combined to save on postage, sorry for the inconvenience. Let alone the expense.
I probably won’t use them again simply cause their cart system is unreliable. Things you didn’t add get added and things you put in your cart are removed. Their customer support are to slow to make corrections to orders.
I am an international customer so maybe if US based they ok. I will say their postage options are more affordable and a greater range of delivery options than other stores. So on that angle they worth trying. Just be very careful to check you cart.
I was going to give them a two star rating as mistakes can happen ie give them the benefit of doubt. But on reviewing other reviewers posts, they known for poor customer service. So one star it is.
Excellent customer service
Katie Ly was my sales representative. She was excellent. She took my order of numerous parts for two of my cars. We exchanged phone calls a few times and she was always pleasant and responsive, even when I left her messages. She even helped me secure my cyber Monday discount. Excellent customer service experience.
Ordered parts for a late 90s Bimmer
Ordered parts for a late 90s Bimmer. Had to call for help, hard to find what I needed on website - category groupings are not especially helpful. Most parts were original BMW so that was nice. What I’m most disappointed in is the shipping. Ordered on a Saturday, shipped on Monday, expected to arrive a week later on Monday. That really delays my project another weekend. Pelican Parts should call Late Model Restoration for help with shipping. They ship almost everything for free and it arrives in two days. Guys need parts quick - a week plus for shipping is crazy. Is it coming by horse???
Website is well designed -their service…
Website is well designed -their service not so good. Often part is on back order - and you wait. I get the impression they call the Porsche dealers and order the part - then mark it up and ship it. If you return a part they keep 25% of your money for “restocking fee”.
Use their website to figure out what you need - then order from another website !!
Huge hassle wrong parts wrong addresses
Very dated website also sent me parts I didn't order and tried to bill me for them STILL sent the parts to the wrong address even though we had a 10+ minute conversation about it. Order from fcp or Idparts
They just don't care about their customers
I ordered a genuine part for my Mercedes and of course payed the full price as requested, about a week later they sent me an email that they are unable to supply the genuine part but have a compatible generic part which I accepted to receive instead at a small discount.
The part arrived totally diffrent to what I ordered and does not fit my car.
When ask to return the part they exclaimed that the part is compatible with the OEM part which is not true, moreover I had to pay very high custom fees on a part that I can not use.
I suggest not do business with these guys
I ordered a part and wasn’t in much of…
I ordered a part and wasn’t in much of a hurry for it so I didn’t care to look at the delivery date. I assumed it would be delivered within a week like most items you order online. after three weeks I checked tracking and I had a delivery date . so I waited a few more days checked it again and the delivery date vanished and they never said anything no email, no nothing. so I canceled the order and still never received an email. Oh well . Maybe they have enough customers they don’t need my business
I sent them an email this week…
I sent them an email this week regarding one of their aftermarket products that doesn't work. A fact that is borne out by feedback from many of their customers on their website. I know the reason why they don't work and I offered to explain this to them so that they might sort it out. Received a dismissive response from someone who described himself as the Senior Technical Advisor. A meaningless stock response. Couldn't care less basically. A very poor show.

Usually have what you need for your German vehicle but don’t expect to install your part anytime in the near future if you live on the East coast.18$ shipping is a bit much for a $40 order that after a week still waiting.
Bad experience
Good day,
I had a bad experience with PP I don’t recommend them.
I had a bad experience with the customer service Madam Dyna was really rud with me on the phone.
Falsely Advertised Part Nearly Causes A Car Accident.
If anyone wants a good test of their patience, they should buy a part from Pelican Parts. I had a new centre tie rod installed a few months ago bought off their website. Whilst I was driving, I had to make an emergency stop because the car was wobbling everywhere. The centre tie rod had almost completely come out of place. The new ball joints don’t properly fit.
I then purchased what I thought was the correct one from Pelican as their advertisement said it would fit my 7 series. They send me the same part so I logged a ticket in their message centre requesting an exchange for the correct one.
Terrible Customer Service.
Although they may be nice, apart from that one parts rep, the 4 different customer service reps I spoke to have been extremely unhelpful. They promised to give me a callback and never did. I had to chase them up at 4 in the morning (my time) and still didn’t get a straight answer or a proper reason why they didn’t call. They are still yet to email me back with a solution as they promised and it’s almost been 3 weeks. They seem to think if the customer doesn’t kick up a fuss then no need to worry.
I would've shipped back the item by now and happily taken my money back but after reading the other well-hidden 1 star reviews, I don't believe they will refund my money or wear the cost of the shipping. After this whole upsetting experience, I strongly believe their word is as worthless as the parts they sell. I suggest that you DO NOT do business with these people if you want safe and reliable parts for your car.
Don’t trust their model finder
I am UK based. I used Pelican’s search tool to identify my car on model year. I spent over $1,000 on parts, plus circa $300 on import taxes.
My car is a 1994 Porsche 993. I was sent parts for a 1994 Porsche 964, a completely different model. The Pelican tool is based solely on USA model years, nowhere else.
Pelican would not pay for shipping or taxes for me to return the goods.
Terrible customer service
