I was running my discord bot on this using the free tier, and it was the only free hosting option I found where you don’t have to enter a credit card or deal with a 1 month limit.

I eventually upgraded to a paid tier, and the owner, Stonechat, is a super friendly person who didn’t mind helping out at odd hours.

Furthermore, the free version works really well, and my bot ran fine the entire time I used it. You can add time to your bot by clicking through a few ad websites, and with a good adblocker it only takes about 30 seconds to add 1.5 days of uptime, so it’s very straightforward. The platform is incredibly simple to use, with a clean interface and an overview of all installed dependencies and packages your bot uses. You can even upload your .env file, and it will extract and manage all your secret keys and variables for you, making setup super quick and painless!

All in all, a really positive experience, and I’d highly recommend it!

It’s true — it’s cheap. But you can definitely feel it.

There’s no official support, only “community” support via Discord. Honestly, I think that’s unacceptable — maybe even borderline illegal — when you're paying for a service (and yes, I did pay).

When I first subscribed, the service behaved very strangely. For example, while hosting a simple Python FastAPI application, a single request would trigger twenty others simultaneously. This bug took several days — maybe even weeks — to get fixed. Hard to tell how long it had been there.

Now, I go back to my admin panel… and suddenly, no domains. Nothing. And how do I get help? Again, just public Discord support — where no one responds.

Scam site. I paid for a premium subscription ($3/month approx.) but I didn't receive anything, it didn't even create the project for me. When I asked for help on the discord server they didn't answer me, but they only answer certain users. I found a more reliable replacement for this site.

It was great at start, regular updates and fixes, then it just died. Stopped being developed what-so-ever. Owner barely active, around once every 3 or so weeks. Buggy service, save yourself the money and time and go with something else.

USED to be really good, now its garbage, paid servers are down more than theyre up these days, dashboard isnt smooth anymore, server struggles to restart itself half the time failing, in the past week paid servers have been rate limited 3 times, with 12-22 hours between fixes, owner doesnt care anymore, try something else

This service was decent, when it worked MONTHS ago.
The owner moved on to some other project and didn't fix any of the tens of bugs it has.
Because of its high rank on Google search, tens of people come on the support server every day and complain (rightfully so)
It would be a million times better if he didn't promise a free service, since we can see he can't provide it.
These issues persist even for paid users, starting from git desync, unresponsive dashboard, broken logs, no packages, and many more bugs

Switch to something else if you want something that works

Very low or no support on issues, frequent service outages and no help received. It is having an outage right now. Owner does not respond to anything.

It was working fine ,then i stopped my bot to fix a bug and when i came back to the website all files were gone and i couldn't even upload my files. i tried deleting and making new bot still the same issue files weren't showing.
EDIT: it started working but i still csn't access my files

Scam website. it does not work only a waste of time. be aware of this scam.

Ease of use/features: Pella has some of the best features of any hosting platform I've tried, and it's very easy to navigate/learn for people new to development. You can easily upload your code or write it from scratch, monitor CPU/RAM usage, add your development team to the project with different ranks, install packages easily or install addons with a click of the button, have your bot started and online within minutes, and more!

Reliability: While Pella is an amazing tool for new developers, providing free access to servers to get your bot online with no credit card needed, nodes, including premium ones at times, are subject to frequent DDoS attacks, causing servers to go offline, and even files to be inaccessible, for many hours at a time. That being said, I can recognize that Pella only has one developer (Stonechat) trying their very best, and they can't control the actions of others. You also cannot expect perfection from something that's free, or even in the case of Premium, that has unmatched monthly/annual prices. Overall, it's a decent hosting service, and for an amazing cost, if you can handle occasional downtime.

Customer Service: I recognize that Stonechat (the owner/developer) is trying to handle customer service by himself, and that can be very overwhelming, trying to respond and assist so many people on the busy schedule of still trying to maintain Pella. With that stated, perhaps some help or a better ticketing system should be considered, because going days before getting a proper response/resolution to issues (such as not receiving a server after payment) is unacceptable.

My discord had troubles executing commands on the 1st try you would have to do it 3-4 times for it to actually work. After I found out about pella commands actually work on the first try, and its fast. Lastly, the support is amazing, fast, and simple.

pella.app is the best hosting services provider ive ever know! fast support tho!
