Avoid Petmax

Order placed April 3, dropped off/shipped April 9, arrival April 17.

Petmax did not meet advertised their policy, advertised same/next-day shipping, 4-5 day delivery time and the return process was not accessible or accepted.

Due to Petmax + courier delays and the product becoming unusable for its intended purpose after discovering health issues with my cat, I contacted Petmax before the delivery was completed.

Petmax instructed me to refuse delivery to receive a full refund, but the courier entered my building unauthorized, left the package in a common area without my consent, and removed my ability to refuse it.

When I tried to resolve the issue with Petmax, I was required to follow a return process I cannot complete due to my disability, yet I had to disclose it to request basic assistance and proper application of their policy.

Despite this, I was offered store credit minus $17 shipping fees or a physically impossible return method. Petmax stated they work with several couriers and those couriers had limitations, which is why I was refused accessible return.
Upon research, the information Petmax provided appeared inconsistent with published policies from their courier network and the available courier pickup options, that offer paperless return pickup services.

Other customers are allowed returns and full refunds but I am excluded from it because I have a disability that makes certain acts physically not possible for me.

I ordered and in 24 hours it was…

I ordered and in 24 hours it was already at my door in Quebec! All in a box to protect food bags! What a service! I recommend , In addition to having very good competitive prices and more affordable than many pet stores

Unbeatable sale items!

I was extremely pleased to have found the PetMax online order site. The items I normally purchase were available and on sale. Double bonus for me! The courier delivery system was successful and fast, considering the distance being three provinces away. I will continue to order from PetMax.ca. Variety, great pricing, speedy free reliable service. What more can one ask for.

ZERO customer support

ZERO customer support! If you have any problem with your order, you can stay on the phone for an hour and no one will answer. If you want to return or exchange something, the only option is to send the product (if you ordered it wrong) to them at your own expense. Otherwise, if they made a mistake, the exchange can be made immediately. I am a customer with 4 dogs and I have placed orders with them for thousands of lei, and they make me pay 25 lei for shipping for a 33 lei collar that is too big for my dog... I do not recommend!

Service client de qualité, à l’écoute et réactif. Suite à un problème sur la livraison ils ont réagi et trouvé une solution rapidement. Vraiment satisfait je continuerais à commander chez eux.

Save your money shop else where

Placed an order over 2 weeks ago and just keep getting run around about why my order has not been processed/mailed out. Seems like a scam site that just steals your money.

A Reliable Lifesaver for Pet Needs

When the global pandemic hit, like many pet owners, I was filled with worries about how I would find my dog's food when it was virtually impossible to find, and panic buying was ensuing. Amidst the chaos and empty shelves, PetMax.ca was a lifesaver. They consistently had Royal Canin in stock, which was impossible to find elsewhere.

It's not just the availability that impressed me though, the pricing was significantly cheaper than other retailers. They never price gouged or took advantage of the situation.

In terms of service, they have set a gold standard. Their customer service team is quick to respond, friendly, and most importantly, genuinely invested in my pet's well-being. They're family owned, and it shows.

As for delivery, it's efficient and speedy, often arriving the very next day, on par with the likes of Amazon!

I started purchasing from PetMax out of necessity during the pandemic, but their exemplary service and reliability have made me a loyal customer ever since. Every time I place an order, I'm reminded of the peace of mind they brought me during one of the most stressful periods of my life.

PetMax is not just a pet supply store; they're a dependable partner for all pet owners, one that I (and my pup) are extremely thankful for. If you are looking for a seamless, efficient, and economical solution to your pet's nutritional needs, I cannot recommend PetMax highly enough! They truly go above and beyond, and for that, they deserve nothing less than a 5-star review!

No Purr In This Cat Food

This is a pet store that sells catfood. I ordered from this store as I could not find the Wild Canyon food anywhere in Edmonton. They charge a lot for delivery but I had no choice as this was the only outlet that delivered it. They quote that it will be delivered Express. That didn't happen as their system went down. So no refund for delivery fees. I received the cans on June-9-2023. The box was in perfect shape but every can was damaged and old as if they had sat on a shelf. Every can was dusty. Called the store and a clerk was so rude. Explained that this would be the delivery people. Asked for her name and she refused to give it. "I am not in charge online deliveries" Asked to speak to a Manager. "He is not in today " She could not have cared less about customer service. This store does not care about their customers and it shows. From the delivery being late to the clerk who was rude. But the worst blaming the company when these cans had obviously come from store this way! Buyer Beware as this store only it would seem cares about getting rid of old stock. Delivery Company is really upset as they explain as did driver this/these cans of course were damaged before leaving store. I mean dusty really dusty cans. I urge anyone purchasing to look at best before dates and the dust on the cans. That says it all! Update: They have neither called nor answered any of my requests as to whether this food okay for cats. The Veterinarian Association says no. Also states that it is bad business to treat customers this way and took notes re Food. As I said this business does not care about customers and their pets rather they only care about making money.
