Outstanding Training, Mentorship and Career Support

My experience with PharmaLink Academy has been exceptional. The programme offers far more than technical pharmacovigilance training; it combines high-quality teaching, practical learning, personalised mentorship and genuine career support.

Pankti Shah delivered the pharmacovigilance modules with clarity, structure and professionalism. Complex areas such as ICSR processing, MedDRA coding, case narrative writing, literature assessment, signal detection, ALCOA+, root-cause analysis and CAPA were explained clearly and reinforced through thoughtfully designed assignments and constructive feedback.

Rabia coordinated the programme efficiently and reliably. Communication was clear, technological and logistical arrangements were managed smoothly, and learning materials and promised support were delivered on time. The Learning Management System was well organised, easy to navigate and supported a consistently professional learning experience.

I am also extremely grateful to Dorothy and Dr Omozuwa for their generosity with their time, strategic guidance and genuine commitment to students’ professional development. Dorothy’s extensive industry insight, empathy and practical advice were invaluable, while Dr Omozuwa’s accessibility, encouragement and personal interest brought an important human dimension to the support provided by the Academy.

What truly distinguishes PharmaLink Academy is the people behind it. Students are not treated simply as course participants; they are supported as individuals, encouraged to recognise the value of their existing experience and guided towards realistic opportunities within the pharmaceutical industry.

I would wholeheartedly recommend PharmaLink Academy to healthcare professionals and life-science graduates seeking practical, structured and professionally delivered training in pharmacovigilance and drug safety.

Preface: ‘This is my second attempt to leave this review as Pharmalink have already had my 1st attempt removed, claiming it somehow violates TrustPilot guidelines.

Any student reading this review will know it’s genuine due to the detailed content. As I have paid in full and cannot get a refund I have to persevere with them. No current student is going to put their full name or be willing to identify themselves and risk victimisation/backlash from Pharmalink for leaving an honest review like this.

Review: Disappointing experience so far, but I will revise my review if things improve and the outcome is positive.

Pharmalink don’t seem to understand the need to build and maintain student trust or the importance of clear communication. They may claim to listen but they don’t hear.

Their communication has been poor or absent in key areas. As they don't want to accept this issue, it’s easier for them to blame students for misunderstanding them. What they don’t seem to realise is that significant issues are arising due to their failure to clearly communicate important details instead of assuming students should just know.

An example of this is their ambiguous communication regarding assignment marking. They have a system whereby assignments are graded into 2 categories - standard met or standard not met. They say that we can only proceed to the next assignment once the previous assignment has been approved and that if after the 2nd submission the standard is not met then there can be no further resubmissions of that assignment.

I and many other students understood this to mean that if we do not meet the required standard after the 2nd submission then we cannot progress to the next assignment. They never stated in their communication what happens after 2 failed submissions and what the implication is for our continuation of the course.

As replies to individual communication have not always been prompt, I spent over a week in a highly distressed state believing I had failed the course, thinking about how much of my time, my hopes, my money I had invested in this course only now to have failed and lost everything.

Only after a variety of issues arose which affected a number of students, did they invite us to a meeting where they eventually clarified that even if you do not meet the required standard on a particular assignment, you can just continue on to the next assignment with the failed assignment just getting left.

If they had clearly communicated this to us in the beginning so much upset, distress and bad feeling towards them could have been avoided.

Dorothy doesn’t feature in the course, at least until now. Most of the student communication is through a student from last year’s cohort, a doctor from Nigeria, who speaks quickly and with a heavy accent which makes it hard particularly for those of us who are not native English speakers to understand her. She can appear very rude and dismissive to students, and gives abrupt or evasive answers to legitimate questions.

The weekly writing classes are run by an experience American regulatory medical writer, but the fact that she is only on audio, not video, really detracts from the experience and leads to a feeling of disengagement and remoteness.

Much of the assignment marking is done by last year’s students, only a couple of the assignments so far have been marked by experienced writers.

Overall, Pharmalink aggressively censor and clampdown on any students who attempts to speak up or criticise them. They are an arrogant company who care only about profits, not about students.

I can’t say so far that I feel I have had good value for money……. Let’s see how it goes…….

The depth in which Dorothy and the team go to ensure everyone feels supported is amazing. The 1:1 sessions helped me calm down and get ready for my interview, Dorothy takes her time to help you prep for your interview really well, and for your next job.

Pharmalink Academy changed my life. I would highly recommend the regulatory course. The course was tailored at the right pace, easing my transition from 20+years of nursing, being a stay at home mum to now working in pharma remotely.

The team support is amazing. In my experience it had no limits, they hold your hand from the day 1 right to finish line. The pivot has been my best decision. It exceeded my expectations.

The medical writing course was laid out in a structured manner with live weekly sessions in which an instructor goes through the types of document with us. Plenty of opportunity to ask questions during live sessions and by email between sessions.

The instructors are supportive, they push you to do your best and also explain thoroughly when you have questions. There is also long-term support following the end of the course. In the career support phase, there is plenty of opportunity to book one-to-one sessions to discuss job prospects, go through interview prep and to just talk about your experiences.

The course gives you real life experience which serves you in good stead when talking with people within industry. I would’ve never have gained this experience or knowledge by myself. Connecting with alumni also has meant I haven’t felt alone throughout the process.

The medical writing course was excellent. We learned not only through the live sessions but also from the detailed feedback on each assignment, which really strengthened my skills. What truly sets this programme apart is the additional job support after completion. The CV and LinkedIn optimisation, along with the mock interview preparation, were incredibly helpful.

Honestly, if you’re interested in a career in pharma, I would highly recommend this programme. It gives you a significant advantage, and the guidance from Dorothy and the team is genuinely invaluable.

Its been quiet an interesting learning curve and challenging adapting to the pharmacology language after such a long time so relearning is interesting, I found navigating LMS confusing as the cohorts are set together so its easily click on the wrong cohort which can be annoying.

Pharmalink academy is a company i will highly recommend to anyone ready to launch into the next big thing in the pharma industry.
They exceeded my expectation. The PV course was an excellent and eye-opening experience for me. It was highly informative, interactive, and well guided throughout. The tutor was very knowledgeable and explained everything clearly while encouraging participation and discussion.

I enrolled in Pharmalink’s 8-week medical writing course and found it to be an excellent experience.

Even coming in with prior knowledge of the field and Pharma, I still came away with fresh insights and a deeper understanding. All it took was one TikTok video and I knew this was the opportunity I had been searching for. The medical writing course was extremely well structured and gave me the opportunity to work on real life documents and at industry standards. The team were always available to reply emails when I needed clarification on assignments (even outside working hours). For life science graduates looking to break into Pharma or take your careers to the next level I highly recommend PharmaLink Academy. I decided to take a risk and complete the Regulatory Medical Writing course. From enquiring before purchasing the course to completing it, the Pharmalink Academy team could not have been more helpful. They teach you real world skills, answer any questions you may have, and provide a huge amount of support upon completion. This course allowed me to completely pivot from the NHS into the pharmaceutical industry. The skills I’ve learned from the course have been instrumental in my new job.
