Philo doesn't take money from your account... they don't control the channels commercials people always have to find a reason to complain... as long as you keep the app updated and the streaming device you're using Philo runs perfectly smooth
If you like a pro liberal, pro socialist grooming company with incompetent representatives...!
I signed up with Philo on a 7 day free trial. I got through 2 seasons, then the episodes began disappearing on season 3 while in the middle of watching. The 1st 2 representatives I spoke to regarding this said I could watch it on paramount, a sister company & use my sign in info to watch it there....WRONG! Couldn't sign in & there was no way to watch on paramount. I called back a 3rd time. The representative initially said I could watch on paramount & I said no, you can not & if so, walk me through. He put me on hold & finally confirmed I was correct. He said it was because I was on a free trial. How sneaky is that to try to get you to sign up & become a customer to watch more episodes?! I told him to cancel my trial early, which he did. I then looked at reviews of people complaining that they still charge you after cancelation, so I called my credit card company. Not to mention they are woke af! You should see the grooming commercials....beyond disgusting! You're forced to watch their pro liberal, pro socialist woke ideology of never ending commercials; pro abortion, dancing drag queens, men kissing in an aids medication commercial etc., and these are on family friendly shows! Beyond disgusting, not to mention their incompetent representatives! I'm sick and tired of these woke companies jamming this crap down our throats everywhere I turn. I'm not feeding into the delusional agenda of the mentally ill! GO WOKE GO BROKE!

I loved how the Customer Service person went out of their way to email me to help me get my account straight so I could continue to enjoy the Philo app because I had spent $28 on account that I thought was Mines but the account had been closed. I didn’t even have the right number for the account But they seen my review all my complaint I had left them on the website and got back in touch with me to help me get my account situated so I can continue to enjoy. The app was helpful and help me get my Roku TV so I can enjoy the app so I would recommend the app to anybody that does not want to pay that high spectrum bill for the same channel , I only paid $30 Philo app thank you for the help
It's terrible
It's terrible, if I could give 0 stars I would.
It's not worth 24.99 a month…
It's nothing on Philo Tv same movies and shows every month. This is a rip off.

Today is the 13th I saw my due is the 14th they decontinue my service in order to get the new price. Last month they requested I make a smaller payment amount and when they got my credit card information they charged me the regular price and they had to reimburse me that amount and I feel that why they discontinue my service.
I've had Philo for about 6 months now
I've had Philo for about 6 months now. I signed up because it had certain shows I wanted to watch. However, a season of a show only has a few episodes and then no more episodes. I contacted them to ask about it, and they said that they have no control over when shows pull their episode. Very strange. Also, I did not pay for only 6 episodes!
I absolutely Love Philo
I absolutely Love Philo. I've been a customer since $20 when it I found it here in Philly and i love that they just keep adding Channels. Even in the middle of the night there's always something to watch. I have a couple of friends that love it. If you're a sports fan, it's not for you but it's perfect for me. I'm here to stay! You guys rock! 💕💕
I’ve had Philo over a year
I’ve had Philo over a year, it’s only $25.00 and yet I hear people complain about 3 minutes of commercials. Get up use the bathroom, go to the fridge. Or pay Xfinity $200 a month if the $25.00 a month is bothersome. Anywho, I love the channels they offer. I have no problems with buffering.
Slow service
The guide is so slow it's almost painful. Not my internet as everything else on my TV runs great. I like the programming and the price but you truly get what you pay for.
What a terrible player.
What a terrible player.
Wow.
Errors constantly
Too Much commercials
Too Much commercials, I don't enjoy the service, Real commercial plays for 1 second before playing a Filter Advert then switches over to repeated Adverts, i hated that this was happening when i first subscribed in 2022,
i use a New TV provider now and i'm considering cancelling this service, too much idiotic stuff going on with Philo.
Streaming Philo
I have had Philo for a couple of years. Lately, I am having trouble with it loading. It is Philo, not my Internet connection. I swear, it this keeps up, I will be cancelling and saving the $25.00 monthly cost.
The worst experience ever!!
The worst experience ever!!! I tried the free trial for one day and cancelled the next day… si ce then they have continued to draft out 26.56 out of my account since February. I just got off the phone after an hour with these stupid people and after all the arguing they said they would refund me two months… my question is… if I used their free trial period for one day they can draft money out of my account?? It’s a scammers world out there so beware of the side companies trying to rip people off. There are way better streaming companies that are true and fair but not PHILO… don’t waste your time or money on this low level streaming service!!
Way too many ads
Way too many ads, some of which are over 5 minutes long. Constantly repeating the same ads over and over. The price is too high for the amounts of ads.

Philo used to be very good but now the commercial break is so long I forget that I'm even watching a show. I'm talking 10 or more commercials for other shows I have no interest in.
Shady business practices and double billing!
Much like many of the other reviewers here I too was double charged for accounts with Philo. I noticed my bank account had a $25 deduction for Philo streaming service; Knowing I had canceled the account I tried to sign in on my fire stick. I was given the option to enter either my phone number or my email address on Firestick. I entered my phone number because it’s much faster. It indicated I had indeed canceled the Philo service over one year ago on 3/7/23. Yet, I was still being charged.
Dayna the Philo phone agent said she “knew what had happened” as if this occurs often and verified I had two accounts; one by my email and one by my phone. She could also see I hadn’t utilized streaming service via the Philo email account. Dayna also found I had been charged for BOTH email and phone services for two months. I requested the refund for 13 months of service and two months of overcharge which equaled $375. Dayna received authorization for two months credit - $50 vs $375 which I overpaid and never utilized.
I spoke with Dayna’s supervisor Ross. Ross indicated it stated in Philo’s contract it does not offer refunds. I asked if double charging was good business or if allowing customers the option to enter either a Phil’s or email is good practice when they know the information isn’t connected. Ross begrudgingly agreed to refund a total of 5 months vs 15 months of charges for services after I canceled and including the email account which I was unaware I was signed up for. I asked to speak to Ross’ supervisor and Ross stumbled and said they weren’t available but I could receive a call back. When I asked when I could expect a call Ross indicated “I will call you back within 24-48 hours”. I asked why Ross would call me? I wanted his supervisor. Ross stumbled and corrected himself to say his supervisor would call me. Ross then suggested I contact my financial institution and take it up with them. This is a brush off since Philo has a no refund policy the financial institutions cannot assist due to the clause.
I cannot imagine how many hundreds of thousands of dollars this company under handily makes off consumers who aren’t aware of the Philo offered double account sign in actually creating two separate Philo accounts!
I plan to report to the BBB. Share this all over my social media accounts and as an influencer will be shared with multiple thousands of followers. I also intend to Write to Amazon who offers access to Philo and allows you to charge through your Prime account. I’m open to any other suggestions to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else!
Charging after account was canceled
I canceled my subscription on 4/03. Today is 4/14 and philo hust took out another month subscription. After talking to them, they tried to tell me I had 2 accounts, 1 with my email and 1 with my cell number. It requires both to sign up, so they had both. WATCH YOURSELF WHEN DEALING WITH THEM
I really really hate the new tv series…
I really really hate the new tv series format, it will not let you easily see when future shows are being saved like the old horizontal layout. The new vertical layout also will not let you choose which channel (say CMT or UpTV for last man standing) it only plays CMT unless you start the show then drop out and click on it from continued watching. This is on a Roku TV but also the same on my Roku stick. Called Philo they said it was a trial run, if so please put it back the way it was.
Fantastic for the price
We just dropped Dish network, which was charging us $140 a month, mostly for channels we NEVER watch. Put up an antenna for locals and subscribed to Philo, which has almost all the channels we do watch (we also had to get a $6/month Peacock subscription for a couple they don't have), for far, far less.
I see people here complaining about commercials. You only see commercials when you watch shows which already existed before you put them on your "save" list. Once they are on your save list, all the episodes from that point forward have commercial breaks that you can skip by tapping fast-forward one time. Haven't had any technical issues yet. We've had it almost a year and LOVE the price and the convenience.
