I am a big ghost adventure fan, so I decided to get Philo to watch season 28 of ghost adventures. When I started watching it, it looked familiar, so I went back to my Amazon prime video season 28 on Philo is actually season 26 and season 27 combined that is already on Amazon prime. Needless to say, this was a disappointment, and a real rip off I canceled my subscription with Philo, but thought I’d let everyone else know you might want to check what you’re wanting to see on other streaming services that you have, and make sure they are not the same.

High cost. Ads are too long and frequent given the high price. Not enough shows.

I love Philo but the price each month is to high. The others are no more then $10, why are you high. I may not want everything its offering. Why it it connect to Roku? I definitely don't want Roku connect to any of my cables.

Terrible! No local channels in “live” can’t sign into account with smart tv because it keeps asking for cc info during trial period. Not worth it!!

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! They will charge your card after cancelling. Claimed we had two accounts (lie). Do not give your credit card information to this company. The better business bureau should be alerted to these deceptive business practices and straight up theft!

Buyer beware .. do not waste your time buying Philos package its not as advertised. I used a valid paysource they said they dont accept that kind of payment, I then selected paypal, they declined that to, its nothing wrong with my payment source because I pay for Hulu, Disney and other streamin apps with no problem, customer service is horrendous and they have lots of complaints on their site where members are complaining about the app freezes alot, doesnt play properly or doesnt stream at all, also some folks cancelled and Philo still continue to charge them. Its on their site in the help section where you can complain, ask questions or answer them... Philo is more of a data aggregation app.. false advertising and the packages look good but they are misleading extremely misleading

I've been a Philo customer for years. The programming is actually pretty decent, BUT - the big but - they really have gotten out of control with the commercials. There are literally commercials about every 10 minutes. I spend more time watching commercials than actual programs which totally sucks. I'll sit down to have lunch and think "I'm going to watch for 1/2 hour while I eat lunch" that 1/2 hour turns into 3/4 commercials :( And to boot, they show the same commercial over and over and over again - I mean come on, it's bad enough wasting my time (and money) with so many commercials, but it's so much worse when it's the same one over and over! Stop the insanity with so many commercials Philo!

1. Couldn't do a free trial because it said I already had an account (I figured I just forgot), so I tried to sign in and reactivate, only to be told no account existed. Charged $25 and then found out....
2. It advertising a DVR, but it's too sensitive to actually control, so you either watch the commercials anyway, miss the beginning of the next segment, or spend so much time trying to stop it at the beginning of the next segment that it would have been faster to just watch them.
3. The first two shows I searched, that are advertised as being available on Philo - aren't here. The pictures are there, as if they're choices, but not currently available on VOD and not scheduled for future airings.
4. They're running A LOT of scam commercials that prey on the elderly and under-educated.

I've already turned off auto-renew and hopefully can just cancel this for a refund. Less than 24 hours and this has already proven to be a WASTE of $25.

Duplicitous organization that lies about sending e-mails regarding issue with charging payment so they can cancel account, remove $10 credit, clear saved recordings, and force customers into reactivating at full price. Every other e-mail they've ever sent is delivered just fine but the FOUR they claim they sent prior to canceling surprisingly never showed up. All so they can milk you for an extra $120 a year.

Well, Philo is great, if:
You're not into sports or news. Has a bunch of channels, and I'm paying $20/month, as I got it before it went to $25/month

It's horrible if you have a technical question, issue, or a problem. You call the number and get some third world country in a different hemisphere. They are completely useless. Spent 20 minutes discussing my problem. Not only wasn't it corrected, but.. the rep. I spoke to escalated it, and.a technical person was supposed to call me today, 1/27/24 at 1 pm EST. It's now 5:30 pm, and nothing. I'm not going to hold my breath.

These companies outsource their support services to other countries. Unfortunately, the only people who suffer the consequences are their customers.

I'm not ready to cut ties with Philo, yet....but certainly looking at other options.

I've had Philo for many years. They've gone way to woke for me. I don't want to see certain show, or the crap they are pushing. I'm conservative and concerned that I don't have a voice anymore. Commercial in spanish, lbgtwxyz, more shows of color I don't watch but are being pushed to watch. I want a choice, block what I want to see. Options for myself.

Although the price is good, what's the alternative that's more conservative. Suggestions???

If I could give a 0 star review I would. I'm only on day 2 of the free trial and I cannot make it through the show I'm watching because it keeps stopping and then when I go to play it again it starts from a place I've already seen. I can't skip ahead ...it'll just stop....So beyond frustrating. Too many commercials, irritating interface. Who did this? Truly who made this app/streaming service? It's so bad. I can't make it through an episode of anything without it crashing.

True story I've been I'll for a few months no biggie I'm recovering. So I've literally had nothing better to do then watch TV. First time in 55 years that I've been in this situation. Anyway nuf about me. So I'm in my recliner I fell asleep with Philo TV on every five minutes the Stupid Stupid !!! Jardianz diabetes commercial kept coming on you know the one with with the morbidly obese woman in the hideous car cover yellow dress dancing and singing about Jardianz. So this one commercial woke me 6 different times in two hours only after seeing it a thousand times prior. So why does Philo torture there paying customers? What's worse is every channel has the same 4 or 5 commercials so you can't even change channels so you get different ones.So your trapped into watching hideous commercials.So good bye Philo maybe when you figure out that viewers pay your bills not commercial ads. Without viewers nobody sees your commercials Duh!! Ban the Jardianz yellow car cover dress lady please stop I beg you.

Horrible streaming choice. It’s like a collection of all those extra channels you don’t want on a streaming service. I was mainly interested in one channel and turns out it is an upgrade. Waste of time and of course my trial expired before I got it cancelled. Complete waste of time! Save for money for something better!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I signed up for the "free" trial. Nowhere did it have a place to authorize a credit card payment yet they found a card to charge and did so. Calling them did no good. It's fraud and being reported as such to my credit card company.

Way too many commercials and channels don’t have good timing as far as updates.

Streaming is fine but not impressed the slightest with the excessive pro liberal commercials aired. 52 planned parenthood commercials during one movie????? Seriously

I HAD A DISCOUNT WITH TMOBILE AND TWICE PHILO SCAMMED ME TO UNDERMINE THE DISCOUNT. ONE TIME , A PAYMENT WAS MISSING WITHOUT NOTICE AND THEY CANCELLED ME, SO I COULD LOSE MY DISCOUNT. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND A DOG TO PHILO. THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPANIES IN AMERICA. NO CONCERN FOR CUSTOMERS. I AM A SENIOR AND THEY DEFRAUDED ME. CAN YOU IMAGINE. THIS WAS A BUTTOM BUCKET EXPERIENCE.

Garbage streaming. Expensive at $25 a month. It WAY too many commercials. The worst part is MISSING episodes! Tried to watch one series and episodes 3-7 were missing from the app. Went to the free Lifetime app and watched all episodes of the series for free. Don’t waist your money.
