I believe that Photica is an offshoot of Pixly and would like to appeal the decision below;

'We’d like to kindly remind you that, based on our policy, we are unable to process a refund.

As stated in our Terms and Conditions, all subscription purchases are final and non-refundable. When making a purchase, you acknowledge and agree that refunds are not available.'

I am an 83 year old pensioner and cannot afford this loss. I realised within hours and sought redress via Facebook where I discovered the offending advertisement. I am loathe to create bad publicity but feel this is my only option.

I had looked at a lot of AI photo enhancing apps and Pixly seem to be one of the best based on their presentations of work they had done. After submitting 12 different projects to produce a retro video three of them were decent. The others were from bad to worse. Some black-and-white photos get colored while some other black-and-white photos do not get colored. I submitted a family group photo and only one head in the whole group of probably 18 people moved their head. And all this for a five second video when they show you the app on Facebook they are much longer at least 10 seconds. Basically I'm very disappointed with the results. I have canceled next months renewal. I need something a little better than what this app is doing. If I had to guess I am guessing that they submit your photo to a workforce of different people that take a specific photo and work on it. Some workers produce a decent photo others barely work on the photo. Pixly needs to improve their app and the people that work on them. I don't believe they submit it to AI to be processed, I think the enhancement is done with people working with AI tools. I sent one photo of myself when I was 19 years old sitting in a lounge chair and all it did was wiggle my feet in the video and a couple of the leaves on the palm tree in the background.
So if they ever get better then I will renew my membership.

Terrible app, purchased a trial of sorts, but couldn't even get into the app.
After downloading, when i went to the app, it wanted more money from me.
Now they are saying I can't get a refund. How have I subscribed if I haven't even gotten into the app?
go to cherished moments instead, much better.
