Be wary. Wrong plants. Wrong house. Poor condition. No answer!
Paid £50 plus £4.99 p&p for Begonia Glowing Ember, was expecting 5 established plants. I’d looked online for these but couldn’t find them this year. I’d bought them elsewhere last year and they were beautiful, so although expensive, I thought I’d pay £50 for something I knew I liked.
What I received almost 2 weeks later were multiple plugs of Begonia Bolivienisis, a different plant.
They were sent to the wrong house, to a neighbour on holiday. I received them in poor condition, slimy leaves, broken stems. The paperwork had my name but wrong address, despite it being correct on previous email. The paperwork even names the begonias as the incorrect ones. I have emailed but no answer.
I will never use this company again. There seems to be a theme of offering difficult to get hold of plants, sending a commonly available alternative and not answering complaints.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

It is a total SCAM

I ordered some plug plants, was given a delivery date of 2nd June 26. By 10th June I still had not received them but received an email from a third provider to say delivery would be between Between Nov 26 to Jan 27.

I emailed Plant Troops customer services twice called on the WhatsApp telephone to cancel order without any response.

I still have not had a response or a delivery.

I am going to be reporting them to Trading Stantards. this company should not be allowed to trade online.

Do not order from this company! Ordered fruit trees two months ago. No delivery, no response to multiple chasers and obviously no refund either. Whole thing looks like a scam. Website managed by a company in Pakistan. Reported them to Action Fraud.

Do NOT place any business with this company! They have not fulfilled my order and have not responded to multiple follow-up emails. I have reported them to the Trading Standards Authority.

Wish I’d looked on here before ordering… I ordered some edamame plants to grow with my daughter - was promised delivery by last Friday. No sign of the plants as yet and no response on email or phone…

Wish I’d looked here before ordering! I ordered a rarer variety of strawberries, but was sent half dead bog standard ones instead.
Do not order from this company.
They don’t respond to emails, nor phone. Absolute scammers.

I’d been searching for certain strawberry plants for ages when I stumbled across their website. The delivery was due to be about 10 days after I ordered. I have tried ringing, messaging and emailing for an update but haven’t had any communication and I haven’t had my plants delivered.

Plants did not arrive, no reply to my email. What a disappointment.

One star is to many i would give them zero. Spend £60 on strawberrys received two scabby little thing which are struggling.When emailed to say that i thought there was a mix up no responce WASTE OF MONEY

Based on my experience, DON'T ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! I ordered some plug plants some time ago and was given a delivery window of 19-22 May. As of 10 Junem the plants still haven't arrived. Also, despite 2 emails and a whatsapp message to Plantroops to enquire what is going on, there is still no communication whatsoever from them. As co-ordinator of a horticultural project, I order from online garden companies all the time and am usually very happy with the service I receive, so am really disappointed with this company.

I hope others have a better experience.

You can register and report this online under Buying/Selling fraud type: reportfraud 'dot' police 'dot' UK. You will then get a crime reference number which you can take to the bank to look at the refund process. If the bank refuses refund, you escalate to Financial Ombudsman.

Investigate disputes between financial businesses & customers. Can be useful if someone is refused a refund after a scam. Please don't ask victims to contact them unless they have already complained to their financial institution.

Waiting for some sweet potatoe slips that have not arrived. Paid £42.Only to go to a garden centre to find the same plants were £15.00 for 3. What a fool I've been. Don't make the same mistake as me.Avoid like the plague

I did leave a 1 star review after not receiving my items by the stated date (02/06/26) and no communication after sending an email asking for an update. An hour after leaving the review and 4 days after the ‘delivered by’ date my package arrived. The plants look good but again the lack of communication is shocking

Heard nothing from them after ordering a blackberry plant. No contact, do not respond and item still not sent. Unreliable and will never give money to them ever again. I will share my experience as well. They are a fake company!

ordered this plant but when it arrived wrong plant had been sent. Tried to contact company through their '24hr contact' via email and whatsapp and no response after 2 weeks. The invoice states the plant came from a gardering company via ebay so contacted them refunded the company but then states theyve never heard of plantroops. still unable to contact plantroops who now have both my payment and my refund. They are con artists. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY as you will lose your money. There is no phone number for contact only a gmail account and whatsapp / mobile that never gets answered. I am reporting to trading standards.

I ordered some plants and only 1 out of 4 arrived. There is no contact with the customer service, no one replies to emails or messages, all goes into a black whole. Don't waste your money. This company is a scam.

Ordered a plant from this company and was sent a completely different variety from another company called gardeners dream. Plantroops did not respond to emails, complete waste of money!

I can't believe I've been scammed so easily, it's laughable. I usually check reviews, but for some reason I just went ahead and ordered from this site without a thought.

I ordered a hydrangea, and it arrived from a completely different company. There's no invoice, and it's smaller than what should have arrived. There's also no UK plant passport on it... I have no idea what it is. I went on the site it came from, also dodgy looking, and they don't even sell the type I ordered.

Lastly, I watered it, and a slug came out!
