Innovative, effective and fun course with great, accessible support. Although it is a self-paced course, the daily inspiring emails make sure you stick to the course and, in fact, look forward to the next day's email.

I booked this course , because it offered exactly the theme I deal with ( I planned to write a book with the title " what do you think , while you play the piano ?")
It gave me more than I expected !!
Mark is very carefull , and extremly interested in the benefit for us , considering nearly every aspect of the topic(s) and gave me/ us a lot of tools .
For me it was :" come out of your holes , make videos , look at yourself ( am I bringing joy to your audience - do I have joy myself ? )" , "why do I always think of (making no) mistakes , do I really believe in myself " ?
So I decided to risk a puplic concert with the heavy stuff when it is allowed again (corona).
About the topic " effective practicing" : it's almost the same perceptions I Had /wrote down ..(I am a piano teacher) but do not always practice...
For me it is important to let all the stuff sink in my brain in my subconscious "apartment"...because " I do it best ,when I think nothing at all" ..after thinking about so many things before .

Even when I get the First e book with the Basic aspects it has an impact on my Play and that makes me get into the course UYP. I am glad absolut the e mails which are very interresting and helpful.

I have been doing the exercises on the first 4 modules for now. That coupled with a new guitar teacher as literally transformed my approach to practicing. It is showing great benefits also on my overall enjoyment on playing the instrument. I feel I'm improving on so many things I have overlooked for years. I also watch the videos on YouTube which are good reminders and complement to what you can find in the course. I haven't started the bootcamp (a part where you put in practice what you've learnt in the course, and which seems very interesting) yet, I want to finish the course and have a bit more experience with the various exercises before I do.

Helpful, inspiring, applies absolutely to where I am now. The sports psychology content is clear and well honed. The quotes from sports legends are very apposite.

Upon retirement, after years of professional involvement in education and high levels of international sport, I've returned to music. I am thrilled to find that Mark has developed a course which is educationally sound and which focuses on "best practices" of skills development and performance preparation. Unlock Your Performance is an outstanding course and is relevant to all performers between novice and experienced.

As an adult learner of piano keyboard, whose lessons have been stopped during the pandemic, I had definitely lost my momentum. Mark's YouTube videos about the importance of mental attitude in learning music intrigued me. I have recently started the course and am finding that I do already have better focus and feel more relaxed about playing. I don't perform but am seriously thinking about entering for some grade exams and I'm sure this course will help me overcome my nerves when I do that.
As well as providing course modules Mark sends regular e-mails with good ideas and words of encouragement, and players at all levels are made to feel welcome on the community forum.

I have been reading Mark's emails and have downloaded his basic material and read all of this but have not sat down to actually download and read the course material yet - this said, I have benefited hugely just from the information Mark sends on a nearly daily basis and my practicing and playin are HUGELY improved due to Marks' tips. I can't even imagine wha progress I will see once I actually open the course work!

I can very highly recommend this course. Mark presents a wealth of information in very clear form and then provides the framework to apply it in practice in the Bootcamp. I am glad I signed up for this course. I have been struggling with performance anxiety, so much so, that it even affects my playing in front of my teacher during class.

The course provides in-depth information as to how to overcome performance anxiety that gets in the way of enjoying and sharing the music I love. The information is given both in audio and downloadable forms on line. There is also a community forum for all the participants to share information and to help each other.

I particularly like the support I get from the facilitator. I regularly get emails enquiring about my progress and providing encouragement. He is always ready to answer any questions I have about areas I am not sure of. I get gentle nudges to move on to the next phase of the course so, with each step forward, I am getting closer to my goal which is this course all about.

I highly recommend this course to those who are frustrated with not being able to express and share their love for music due to performance anxiety.

I am only a third of the way through the course, but so far I have found it stimulating, helping me to do things I think I knew deep down I needed to do.

Right from the start I knew this was the course for me! As an adult learner, I have struggled with performing and the topics covered have given me helpful strategies to turn this around. I find the course hugely useful to understand und tackle the blockages that keep me from improving my musical practice. I have not seen any other course alike and I can recommend it to anyone doing music (at whatever level!) encountering issues, blockages, or stage fright.

There is lot of helpful information in this course. Mark has lived it himself and given it a lot of thought, analysis and research. He speaks our experience and gives us the tools. But it’s mostly up to us and how much work we want to put into it. I haven’t finished the course yet but I know I’m going to come out of it a more confident player.

This course is packed with very precious information for any performing artist. Not another superficial chat on the subject. This is deep information and practical . You would have to have stage experience to be able to appreciate this course. If you are just learning an instrument you may not even understand what he is talking about. This information is very rare I searched for years for a book or a course on this subject without much success. I didn't find anything with substance. Now I am soaking up on all this knowledge of my own psychology and why I function a certain way in a certain situation, which I do appreciate. Very revealing indeed. It's no accident that Mark Morley-Fletcher had run into a world of information when studying sports, because there not much material available in the world of music about unlocking your performance, I know that for fact, which is what make this course even more valuable. I see myself working for years with the methods presented in it.

I really liked the course: very well structured and actionable, full of tips to actually embed all learnings in your practice routines. The Bootcamp is also extremely useful for gluing everything together.

I have always thought that mental aspects of learning to play an instrument, developping technique and a repertoire, and, ultimately, performing, bear a huge potentional still largely untapped.
The Unlock Your Performance course provides a number of handles to access and practice these mental aspects. Improvements set in during the 6 week bootcamp where the alumni post weekly performance recordings together with their insights.
As always in music this is only a start but on the right track. Further and ongoing practice is essential.
