Excellent service. Friendly and professional, really high quality work. Can't fault them at all & will use them again.

First off I'd like to thank your team, both in the office & the fitters involved for a thoroughly professional fitment of our windows & doors throughout our house. The office staff along with Glen & Mark were very friendly & helpful & all of the fitters were courteous, industrious, clean & tidy. A highly recommended installer of windows!!!

We recently had some windows and a door replaced. All the staff are friendly, polite, considerate and kept us informed re delivery and fitting dates. We have used Polar Bear before and will continue to do so.

Had a new door fitted as the old front door had several issues. The whole team was helpful and polite, good quote and I was kept up to date with the progress. New door looks great and I am so happy I went with Polar Bear Windows. A* service!

We had a very good experience with Polar Bear windows. We had a composite front door and a window installed with them. Despite there being a delay in installation due to a fault with the door, we were kept informed the whole way through the process and we couldn't be happier with our new front door! I would say that other window companies we have spoken to have used really pushy sales tactics and been really secretive about the real price of things, but I found the sales team really transparent about what options would cost more and what was included as standard. The installations guys were also really lovely, so friendly, left my house clean and tidy. All in all, really great and when we decide to update our other windows, we will use them again.

This company installed a conservatory for me in June 2021. They gave me a good price and the surveyors who came were great and I was full of confidence. However, when it came to the installation then it was downhill all the way.
Dates were given and not kept, no notice given. Then turning up at very short notice, but with the wrong parts - this happened many times and the inefficiency was unbelievable. There seemed to be no stock control as to what was on the van. The actual day for the glass to be installed, they only had half the units. The project manager was completely overworked , off sick, and didn't have a clue what was going on. Paperwork from the survey had completely disappeared so they 'winged it'. Eventually the job was done and seemed fine. BUT big winds last weekend and protection strips from the side of the roof blew off, so rain now coming in onto the wooden structure. On contact the company I was told "unfortunately we only repair installation or manufacturing issues. We do not cover weather created, mis use or lack of maintenance issues".
These strips had obviously only been clipped on, not glued so not installed properly - on any common sense basis!
So unfortunately on my experience I cannot recommend Polar Bear Windows. I'll update this review if I get a satisfactory outcome to my wind related issues.
At the moment it feels as though they're cutting corners on management staff resulting in inefficiencies which in the end cost them more!
Update: They agreed to come and fix wind damage after reading this review. In fact the two strips should have been fixed on with silicone but hadn't been so it was an installation issue, even though the winds were exceptional. They need to take on another project manager - one of the experienced fitters should be great as they'd know firsthand the kinds of problems which crop up from not checking the correct materials are sent in the vans. They also need to listen to their customers - I wouldn't have written this on Trustpilot if I'd been able to communicate with them properly and felt listened to.

Polar Bear windows installed 2 upvc doors. They were competitive on price, kept me updated throughout - and the installer (Marcus) did a good professional job. Would use them again.

We have recommended to friends and family many times.

Really happy with our new composite front door, very solid, high quality finish and expertly installed. I did see a lot of comments regarding lead in times, which I don’t think PBW should be marked down for, it’s the reality of where the market is at the moment. PBW were very transparent at order stage about lead in times and managed to improve on it, therefore exceededing my expectations. Thank you PBW.

polar bear.tThere price matched failed should have walked away then.they did reduce price a little then asked if i wanted lock upgrade to 3 star which i payed on top again.took months to arrange date as covid shortage materials.The day arrived friday morning fit no one arrived after phone call to office i was told delay on thursday job would be there at mid-day arrived but allas no face masks told wife if you supply them we will wear them I asked did they no the companys covid protocol they looked blank but we had previously signed there protocol statement as if we dident they would not start job.as you are held to ransom at end we had to look at job and sign it off with faults agreed then pay remainder of balance.took about 5 months to get small bits put right .the job still looks pretty amaturish from outside lots of mastic and i noticed they used tubes of expanding foam on install. Just to rub salt in thr wound they dident inst a 3 STAR security lock.I should have gone with their parent company Brittania Windows Never will i be swayed to supportt local firms again NOTED REPLY no mention of locks not 3 star no mention of over use of mastic the fitters dident wear masks.maybe checking install would be appreciated and cant find reduction in final price only price given ,Still disappointed even with reply as it makes readers think that we are now satisfied

Put some research into doing three quotes (thought, yes, let's do the right thing here), I chose Polar Bear Windows. As time went on, I knew that I had made a big mistake. Too late. Lots of toing and froing, measurements incorrect, glass incorrect, saga went on for months, hopes raised, hopes dashed. Stress and anxiety. I am so sorry to say , a very bad experience.

Friendly, professional team throughout. Would use again. Thank you for all your hard work

Polar Bear fitted a new single French Window in my dining room. They were friendly, approachable and the quality of the window is exceptional. I am very happy with the result.

Inconsistent experience
I've waited some time to write this review and have a lengthy Word file I have tried to copy and paste so that is thorough and clear. But this format does not allow me to paste so will try to summarise some key points.
Salesperson in Aug 2020 offered us a unique conservatory replacement idea of flat roof and skylight with Ultraframe products. Competitive pricing and promise of 4-5 day turnaround. We had to wait 7 months for start date after paying deposit at start. Waiting for start date and other in between things showed first signs of problematic communications and later discoveries of mis-ordered materials which caused problems for the project. Asked for another contact which could keep comms clear with us and new guy was no better. Surveying error led to later worrying problem - PB did resolve this efficiently but took much labour time and more materials and relying on dry weather. Fitters Dan and Chris were excellent, a testament for PB - they really need many more duplicates of these guys whose work was always efficient, polite, hard going, always willing to please, can't say enough good things about them. Project mgr needs support so he can keep comms with customer and always be clear. There were several examples where we were left texting, emailing, calling, and were ignored and later had no apology from him. Impression was that he was under too much stress of the work and just all over the place and subject to lying to cover himself. Customer service in the office with Rosie was great - always helpful, thank you Rosie. Tying threads between salesperson, surveying, and ordering materials must be addressed so all can be more seamless. Yes, the pandemic has thrown challenges and we were considerate of this, but after a while, with some of the errors, lies, the ignoring of our messages and so on, we lost faith. We may have felt a but better on completion if we had an apology and a more professional approach to things. The project mgr ended up sending me a nasty toned email accusing us of refusing to pay the remainder of our bill. Thsi was after we had been on the phone to the accounts' woman and we said we were happy to get the final invoice with the adjustments for things we did not have done. And then when we did get the final invoice it still did not have the adjustments made, I had to go through it with fine tooth and comb and point them out (I had already flagged this early in the project to Rosie). It was bad enough that we had stress of earlier issues, but to get this final accusing email from him was a bit of the last straw. Some Polar Bear staff can benefit from some training in how to communicate professionally with customers to avoid creating this kind of mistrust and bad faith. I want to wish PB well, and hope there will be improvements in customer service after the pandemic, but some issues are more than just production line constraints. People skills are more valuable than you might think. It is difficult for me to decide on how many stars as our fitters Dan and Chris were really great and we put a lot of faith into our salesman whose approach won our business. But when stuff starting going wrong before we even started, our trust was challenged. Again, an apology would have been nice. It is good to see PB's generated response to these reviews that states what they are doing to improve.

Completely incompetent

Windows are four months late after making them incorrectly *4* times. Fitters kept not showing up unless chased. Fitters damaged the house when they *dropped* the Window from the first floor. No attempt to repair the damage and the irony is that they actually fitted the now-damaged window...

Avoid at all costs.

All sorted but a lesson learned.
