We won Christmas with this gift this year. My 2.5yr old LOVES it (and even my 13yr old has secretly enjoyed sitting in a den again!). It was an ‘extravagant’ gift for us but I knew it would be an investment and the fun we’ve had so far already has meant it’s worth every penny and frankly blown all other Christmas presents out the water - probably for the next few years too. Oops!

What do you get 7 and almost one year…
What do you get 7 and almost one year old for Christmas that they can both enjoy and will last? I can tell you now, this couch has been hands down the best thing we’ve bought and wish we had years ago. They play together with it (what other toy can handle that age gap?), with the eldest making loads of different set ups and the youngest joining in on the fun. It encourages us to sit on it and be more available for play. Not slept on it yet (we went for the big bases) but it would definitely be comfortable for a night. Can’t recommend enough!

Endless fun for lively boys
My daughter suggested I buy the play couch for her three boys (4, 2 and 8 months) as an early Christmas present after visiting her friend (also with three children of similar age) who said it was the best thing they had ever bought. Since it has been set up for my grandchildren, they have got a huge amount of use from it. When I was there over the weekend the two older boys made tents and a fort from it. Yesterday my daughter sent me a photo of the 'obstacle course' her 4-year old had made form the baby by putting the various parts of the couch in his way. The 4-year old looked rather pleased with himself and the baby was loving it. This was definitely a very good buy and not only do I recommend it but know my daughter does too.

Highly recommend - the perfect playroom addition
So thrilled with our couch! My daughter adores it and has endless fun creating new sets ups for it and diving into imaginative play! It’s also extremely sturdy and comfortable to sit and lay on! I was really pleasantly surprised as how well the product filled after being opened for a few days! Highly recommend, it was the perfect addition to our playroom for our 3 & 1 yr old.

Bought 4 arm rests (which will double as who-knows-what) to complement possum couch. Received promptly and well-packed. Makes the couch look like 2 proper armchairs, and will help 2-year-old twins build so many dens and obstacle courses!

Best investment
Our play couch and pod gets loved and used all day and every day. It is in constant transformation from a side to den to climbing frame to soft bed or chair and it even has been brilliant for standing practice for the baby. It is the best way to keep our busy toddler active when it’s wet outside. Best investment I’ve ever made.

Would not recommend.
Having bought from PossumPlay twice before, I decided to invest in more items for Christmas this year. I ordered in November, before their sales, and they sent me the wrong item. That's okay, mistakes happen, and thankfully I noticed that the box said the wrong thing so I hadn't opened it etc. and I sent them an email the same day to let them know of their error and ask that they remedy this by sending the correct item and organising a courier to take the wrong item back. Their responses were rude and entitled. I was told they would not send the correct item, that first I would need to wait for them to organise for a return label to be EMAILED to me, and then i would need to print it, attach it, and then personally transport the parcel to their postal service of choice. I explained that this was an unreasonable half day of labour to demand of the customer, that they could just send a courier to collect the parcel, and they could send the correct item in the meantime.
It took them several days to organise the return label, which they then emailed to me and said that they would not organise a courier, that I would be responsible for transporting the parcel myself and they would not ship the correct item until they had notice that the postal service had received the parcel.
Mind you, in the week that past they then put their items on 30% sale, so their profit margin does have room for them to absorb correcting their own issues, they just don't want to.
Infuriatingly, they then also insisted that their hands were tied by their own refund policy. This wasn't a customer changing their mind, this is a repeat customer who they sent the wrong item to.
Very frustrating, they still haven't corrected it, and i'm left realising that sadly buying from an Australian business doesn't guarantee any customer service or basic accountability.

We’re genuinely sorry to hear that this experience felt frustrating and disappointing.
Unfortunately, an honest picking error occurred in our warehouse during a very busy shipping period, and the incorrect colour was dispatched. We offered multiple solutions to return the item and receive the correct item, a replacement cover to ensure the item matched the rest of the order and ultimately arranged multiple courier collection attempts for the incorrect item to be returned after you declined to drop the item at your local post office. As a small business, with limited stock, we could not afford to just send another item without proof that the original was being returned to us.
Unfortunately, on the agreed collection windows (three times) there was no one available at the address to hand over the parcel, which meant the collection could not be completed.
We always aim to resolve errors as quickly and fairly as possible, and appreciate our customers collaboration on these rare occasions.
We truly regret that we were unable to reach a resolution on this occasion and appreciate all customer feedback as we continue improving our systems and communication.

I am so impressed
I am so impressed. It turned up really quickly. I opened the flat packed product, feeling a tad dubious by the super compressed cushions, and before I knew it it had sprung into being the couch advertised. It is super comfy plus my kid loves it. I can see it being a play item for a long time and once it’s no longer played with it’s still a great little couch. We got the equal thickness base so it can be used for sleepovers as well. Honestly, I’m so happy with it. Great purchase

I was told to pay £15 extra if I wanted the item I paid for
The possum play couch has not been fully unwrapped as it’s a gift for Christmas but seems okay. I am now regretting not getting another brand but liked how this was a business created by two mums. I didn’t recieve the product on time and then was told I would need to transfer £15 extra if I wished to receive the playcouch I had already paid for. I was shocked as I have never been asked to do this before and having paid full price which included delivery I couldn’t help but feel this was a scam. I have now received the item but the customer service was appalling. I would not put myself through this experience again.

I do want to clarify what happened with your order, as I can completely understand how frustrating the situation must have felt from your side. Your parcel was returned to our warehouse after two unsuccessful delivery attempts. When this happens, our courier still charges us the full delivery fee, and again for re-delivery, which is why our policy is to pass on a re-delivery cost for sending the item out again.
In your case, we actually waived this fee as a gesture of goodwill so that you wouldn’t be out of pocket — and we arranged the re-delivery at no extra cost to you.
I’m very glad the couch has arrived safely, and I hope it brings lots of fun on Christmas morning. However, we’re really disappointed to see that, even after resolving the issue and covering the delivery charge for you, your experience didn’t feel positive.

HONEST REVIEW
Honestly the sofa is really fun however I do not believe it is worth the price tag.
It is just foam with covers. I paid £390 for my order on 30.08 and it arrived 03.09.
To come online this morning 10.09 to see that all the items are now on sale.
You can’t win them all but for such expensive items I really expected them to have a price adjustment policy like most companies.
I messaged their instagram to ask this and was basically told they don’t offer this but value my feedback
I then asked for their return policy which is utterly RIDICULOUS! The item has to be in its original packaging and state (so basically should you open your package you can’t then return it so if it’s not for you or you aren’t happy with quality you simply can’t return.
To then be told it costs a whole £50 GREAT BRITISH POUNDS TO RETURN is absolutely insane.
I won’t lie this has drastically put me off possum play and I sincerely wish I’d of opted for one of the other brands as they have fairer policies for their customers.
Disappointing to say the least.

We do our best to be clear and transparent with our policies. For change-of-mind returns, products do need to be in their original condition and packaging. This is a standard policy and very common, to ensure items can be safely returned and resold. Because our play couches are larger and heavy, shipping is costly, making return shipping is more costly than with smaller products.
Regarding sales, like most retailers we’re not able to apply discounts to orders made outside of an active promotion period. We understand how frustrating the timing can sometimes feel, and we value the feedback you’ve shared.

Possum play sofa plus add ons are brilliant, the entire family love it and use it. Love how tidy it looks when its all put away too.
Clear when shapes came into stock.
3 stars as 3 days after the £585 order came, they offered discounts and I could have saved £104.
I asked for a credit & was told no - but we could use the offer to buy more shapes.
Customer service is lacking, product is great.

We got the equal thick base play couch and it is amazing. Our little one has been having an absolute blast playing houses. We had a sleepover and these are super handy. Also suitable for adults to sleep, it is incredible how comfortable the mattresses are.
Also we had an issue with one of the cushions and we had a great customer support experience, the issue was resolved quickly and the team was super nice and kind.

We have been a possum family for several years now and tend to expand our collection on birthdays or xmases.
This year we placed a pre-order in May for their new shapes with a shipping estimate of the 5th of July. I happily placed two orders for a total of just under £300 for my daughter’s birthday on the 20th of June giving it plenty of time and knowing that the birthday surprises are sorted.
Got to now, no order and no update so I emailed asking them to confirm that my order is still coming and was advised that they’ve had production issues and it’s now aiming for late August/September. Initial reaction was such disappointment that I wasn’t told this and found out by chasing. I was told that they’ve only just found out but that’s obviously never going to be believable even if it is true.
I asked the company for a goodwill fix as whilst I understand these things happen it’s their mistake and it’s up to them to fix this. They actually had the audacity to tell me they will give me 20% off so I can buy additional shapes that will arrive in time to make my daughters birthday “more magical” when they are the only reason why the “magic” was messed up in the first place.
With having been a loyal customer that has also been the reason for so many other families getting the couch I have been so disappointed with this service. If you mess up, own up and fix it, this is not it. And obviously they stopped replying to my emails when I expressed my disgust at them suggesting that I pay more money for more items. Awful, awful experience.

Firstly, I want to reiterate how truly sorry we are that your order has been delayed—especially knowing it was intended as a birthday gift for your daughter. We completely understand how important these moments are, and it’s incredibly disappointing not to be able to deliver on time. It’s certainly not the experience we aim to provide.
As previously mentioned, we only became aware of the shortfall in stock after unpacking the most recent shipment. We informed affected customers as soon as possible, but I understand how frustrating it was to hear the news only after reaching out yourself. I’m sorry again for that.
We have offered several options to try to help:
We’ve shipped the Sage Tunnels and Shields, which should arrive shortly.
We’ve offered the option to exchange the Play Pod for an in-stock item (at the sale price), or to cancel it for a full refund.
We’ve extended a 20% discount on a future item as a goodwill gesture—while also noting that your original purchase was already discounted.
I completely understand that none of this replaces the excitement and joy of having exactly what you ordered, on time, for a special occasion. That said, we are unfortunately unable to provide an additional item free of charge, especially given the original order was already discounted by 20%. We’re a small business, and while we absolutely want to do right by our customers, we also need to operate within our limits.
I know this may be disappointing to hear, and again I want to acknowledge the loyalty you’ve shown over the years and the support you've given through word of mouth. We value that deeply.
If you’d prefer to cancel the Play Pod and receive a refund, just let me know and we’ll take care of it immediately. Otherwise, we’ll continue to hold your order and ensure it’s dispatched as soon as the next shipment arrives.

Beyond fantastic!
Not only is this couch practical but it gives hours of imaginative play. When we originally purchased it, our, then, four-year-old and six year-old they, and any of their friends, head straight for this couch which they spend hours configuring into different play options. One year later, it is still the favourite imaginative play thing. At our children’s play dates, the sofa is what the children make a bee line for. I love that it feeds their imagination and helps them with team building. Eavesdropping as they play with it brings a smile to my face, as I know they are learning whilst having the best fun ever. This is by far one of the best buys we have ever made. We bought the equal bases one, which is great for sleepovers too. It is also great for movie nights! We have now ordered the arches and shields, which we know is going to be a great hit. The sofa is really comfortable for me too. It is easy to wash. After a large liquid accident on it, I thought it was ruined, but it came up like new. I will be purchasing the waterproof liners next! This couch was well worth the investment and I am sure it will give very many more years of service. Even when the children are grown it can be configured into a high single sofa chair yes, I have enjoyed playing with it too. Well done Possum Play, you really have come up trumps with this innovation.

Wonderful Company
We have bought the play couch with equal thick bases, the arm rest set and the crash pad. The quality of the products is absolutely incredible and they have already brought so much joy to my household. My daughter is almost 3, has ASD and a lot of sensory needs and this has been the toy we didn’t realise we needed. The crash pad is a great addition if you have a toddler who loves throwing themselves on furniture, and it can take my weight and I’m not exactly small! Really, really high quality.
We had a slight issue with the arm rest set where two were misshapen and Regina was super quick to get back with a solution within a few hours of my email. They were also aware of a batch issue but ours must have slipped through - which tells me their quality assurance is rigorous! We have a new set coming and were told to keep the other set as extra. A really kind gesture.
Genuine pleasure of a company to deal with. Thank you. Will be ordering more from the playroom collection soon. 🥳🤞

UNFAIR RETURN POLICY - AVOID ORDERING UNLESS SURE!
I bought an item for £56 FREE SHIPPING - and they said according to their return police - which of course is in another page of their website - on return they will deduct £20 from it for the shipping to and from me even if it's free ship to begin with! Another item I bought for £15 FREE SHIPPING they will deduct £10 from it so I will only get £5 refund! What a scheming way to scam people and dissuade returning! This is not how you do fair business! Disgusting!

While we do offer free shipping on purchases in the UK, the cost of shipping is still incurred on our end. Our products are quite large and heavy, and so the shipping costs are in line with this.
