The delivery service operated by the Post Office has declined substantially of late, notably since it was sold into private ownership. The artificial delays introduced into the operation of the system lead to unnecessary delays, no doubt operating costs and substantially increase the risk of mail and parcels being misplaced and going astray. My current experience is an item shown as being received at a regional centre within 2 days of posting, and then nothing for 3 days when it is then shown as having been received at the self-same centre again. This is for a supposed 48 hr tracked service. I am obviously still awaiting delivery; the so-called 48 service will have morphed into a 148 hr service by the time I receive my item. My wifes experience a few months ago was even worse, a tracked first class parcel was not delivered. The PO lost track of it, and would not pursue the issue for 15 working days; the supplier of the goods sent out a replacement of the item only for the the original package to resurface (delivered) 6 weeks later. Whatever it is we customers are paying for as a postal delivery service certainly seems to be paying for PO managers inflated salaries/ bonuses and share holders dividends, but most definitely rates less than 1 star.

They don’t have customer support !!

The ATM failed to dispense my £250 withdrawal and gave me only £10. This is their mistake, yet they expect me to wait 15 days to get my own money back.

What is even more unacceptable is that they don't even provide a customer service phone number. For a company handling people's money, having no way to speak to a real person is ridiculous and reflects extremely poor customer service. No customer support at all

Radcliffe on Trent Post Office staff member was so professional in helping me renew my Passport. The whole process, including photograph, was completed in such a short time. I would certainly recommend because of the speedy, stress free service

I went into my local post office and felt I had to write into compliment the lady behind the counter. (Summerfields Way, Shipley View, Ilkeston)

She was using sign language to communicate with the lady in front of me. I was so impressed, I did compliment her myself at the time. She informed me that she had started to learn sign language through an app, but due to the cost wasn't able to continue with her learning. Although the deaf lady is very good at teaching her new things whenever she comes in.

I think Royal Mail or Post Office Counters should help her to continue with her learning. She is an absolute credit to your company.

Post van no one on tjis day deliverd the parcel sunday at 14.30 woman rang bell. put it in back garden as asked on amaazon site. all ok up to now. The post van no 2 sunday at 15.00h well justnput card in door did not ring door bell ring . Same size parcle. Seen him throw it back in van drove off. Card said deliver next day . Stayed in all day to fined its not even left rochdale stuck in rochdale now. Why send in 2 vans great for the earth . Rubish it got now the post office.

Supposed to get a parcel delivered today,nobody came and I was at home all day.
Got an Alert to say they tried to deliver at 3.01 pm,utter rubbish this was sent at 2.35 pm.
I am fedup of this disgraceful service,not up to standard as it should be.
To the new owners do your job properly

I have been expecting a delivery from a supplier who had dispatched it using the tracked 48 post office service. The delivery according to the tracking was supposed to be on the 14th July between 08:25 - 12:25pm.
I arranged the work to be done according to the 'worst case' scenario which was delivery at 12:25pm.
Unfortunately the delivery arrived at 15:42 , approx. 3.5hrs later.
What is the point of giving delivery times if they cannot be maintained, surely Post office has been delivering parcels long enough to know delivery times, absolutely hopeless. The only option is to use Evri as they deliver items much more reliably. I can see why the Post office is a failing provider, get rid of it.

The Post Office in 12 Eastcheap, The City of London is always busy but the staff are very helpful, friendly and delivers quick service. I have been served by Aishu, she assisted me with my queries and she has a smile on her face. Thank you

I am only giving the Post Office a one star to enable me to write a report otherwise in would be zero. A parcel that was to be delivered by GUARANTEED delivery by 1pm on Friday 10 July was actually delivered on Saturday 11 July at 11 am. I tried to raise a complaint with the Post Office and got through after 38 minutes. I was then informed that no compensation was forthcoming for the waste of my time and inconvenience. Totally useless organisation.

The service is very poor. Royal Mail lost my letter, and when I finally managed to speak to a customer service representative, they were rude and hung up on me.

I don't know why there hasn't been an outcry about the zero service the Post Office provides. An important document was posted to me on the 3rd July and even today the 14th July I still haven't received it. I've just contacted their 'complaints line' where the Post Office website says that you can contact them directly. Well, of course that is a lie, you just get a recorded message that ends with a suggestion that you can 'write to them'. From now on I shall bend over backwards not to post anything via the Post Office. Let them crash and burn.

The service is very friendly and efficient . The staff are very helpful.
One of the advantages is that it is open on a Sunday and that they do Amazon returns

Take your money for redirecting mail but fail to re direct. 3 calls so far, last time I got hung up on because the post office discriminate the elderly / mentally impaired!!! Shocking service!!!!

Counter closed in front of me to stack shelves

I visited Copnor Road Post Office in Portsmouth at around 10:15am on Saturday 11 July, during its advertised opening hours.

When I entered, a member of staff, Beth, was serving a customer at the Post Office counter. I waited for that customer to finish and stepped forward, expecting to be served next.

Instead, Beth put up a closed sign and told me the Post Office would now be closed for at least 15 minutes because a delivery needed to be put on the shop shelves.

There were no other customers waiting. I had literally just watched the person immediately ahead of me receive Post Office service.

When I asked, “Do you expect me to stand here and wait?”, the response was simply “Yes.”

I found the manner condescending and dismissive. There was no apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience.

I asked to speak to a manager but was told there was no manager on site and one would not arrive until around noon.

I simply cannot understand how a Post Office counter can be advertised as open, serve the person immediately ahead of me, and then close in front of the next waiting customer to prioritise putting a retail delivery onto shelves.

I have now submitted formal complaints to both Post Office and the host retailer, One Stop.

Unfortunately, this experience has resulted in me deciding that I will no longer use this Post Office branch.

Very poor costumer service , one of the member of staff is on his phone non stop even you try to use their service.
They wanted to charge me 4£ because I choosed them as a drop off point with my online order even I paid the postage fee already on the website.
Where are the lovely ladies who used to work there?

Cleveleys post office today I had lost my driving license, behind the counter the lady staff, was so. very helpful she filled out. the required details to request a replacement driving licence the service was excellent, the staff member is a credit to the Post Office.

Holyhead post office.
Provided wrong information with the attitude of doing me a favour. Several people walking out due to the slowness of the lazy staff, who appear to lack any customer service skills.
Needs a good manager to kick them into touch.
Won't be using again.

I was applying for my passport on 09/07/26 Holly was extremely helpful, I managed to get everything sorted thanks to her, however I have only given 3 stars because the other member of staff was very rude & bad tempered so my experience was a bit stressful
