According to the courier tracking, the parcel was marked as delivered in your area. You contacted us shortly after and we responded within minutes, explained the situation and immediately raised an investigation with Royal Mail on your behalf.

As part of this process, Royal Mail requires a short period of time to locate the parcel and attempt recovery or redelivery. This is standard procedure, as parcels are often successfully retrieved within this timeframe.

We are therefore disappointed that a negative review was left very shortly after the issue was reported, before the courier investigation had been given a reasonable opportunity to be completed or for any recovery attempt to take place.

Despite this and without waiting for the courier's final outcome, we have issued a full refund for your order.

While we understand that delivery issues are frustrating, we believe we acted promptly, communicated clearly and handled the situation in line with the correct process to reach a fair resolution.

In this case, based on the information provided, only a portion of the cans were affected. We therefore offered two clear options in line with our standard process: a full refund upon return of the remaining items (with the return arranged and covered by us), or a partial refund allowing you to keep the goods without needing to return anything.

You chose to accept a partial refund, which was processed promptly. This resolution exceeded the value of the items reported as damaged and was offered as a gesture to resolve the matter quickly and without further inconvenience.

We understand that receiving damaged items is frustrating. However, requesting a return for a full refund is a standard requirement, as it allows us to verify the issue and raise claims with the courier where applicable.

We understand that being asked to provide additional verification can feel inconvenient, particularly when next day delivery has been selected.

On this occasion, the transaction was automatically flagged by our payment security system for further checks. As an online retailer, we are required to complete additional verification when a payment is identified as higher risk before releasing the order for dispatch. This process forms part of our standard fraud-prevention measures and helps protect customers from unauthorised card use, as well as safeguarding businesses from fraudulent transactions.

We contacted you on the same day the order was placed. Once the requested documents were received, the order was promptly approved and dispatched. The brief delay was due solely to the timing of the verification response.
