I had a few questions before buying the…

I had a few questions before buying the laptop and contacted customer support first. They were patient and took time to explain everything in a simple way, not rushing me or pushing to buy. This helped me decide what model would be best for my needs. The laptop arrived in good condition, well packed and ready to use. For a refurbished unit the battery health was better than I expected, which was a nice surprise. Overall the laptop matches the description and works as it should. Based on this experience I would use this shop again and recommend it to others looking for refurbished laptops

Bought a refurbished laptop for work and overall very happy. Laptop came clean, ready to use and exactly as described. Delivery was faster than I expected. Support answered my questions before shipping which was helpful.

Terrible delivery

I left detailed delivery instructions to the courier on where to leave the package. My flat in on the third floor, all they had to do was ring the buzzer and walk up the stairs to leave it at the doorstep, but instead they chucked it on the ground at the bottom of the stairs where anybody could have just nabbed it. I was very lucky to have it delivered on a Saturday, as it would have likely been stolen if I hadn't been home. The delivery also takes much longer than the website specified.

The laptop itself works alright, it was a hassle to factory reset it to get the Powerimp profile off of the laptop which was stopping me from signing in. Aside from that, it seems to run alright now.

I'll give this two stars because of the laptop alone running very decent for the price, but I would not recommend buying one if your housing situation is similar to mine, as the delivery could easily be mishandled and stolen.

While we carefully dispatch all orders, the final delivery process is managed by the courier service, and unfortunately we do not have direct control over how drivers handle individual drop-offs at the point of delivery.

Fantastic service from Powerimp Electronics Ltd. They were really understanding of my situation and went out of their way to work around me being away with work. Communication was clear, the service was reliable, and they made the whole process easy and stress-free. It’s rare to find a company that’s this flexible and accommodating. Highly recommended!

Late delivery/ wrong storage/ damaged speaker

The laptop arrived 2 weeks late which was frustrating. Although I was sent a mouse for this delay.
I paid extra for a hardisk ssd 1T but received only half the storage.
I was compensated 40 pounds for this Although I would have preferred the storage which I paid for.

The speaker sizzled and make crazy noise when volume goes more than half. I was offered a remote session to fix this, but I got this sorted elsewhere in the end.

To clarify for transparency: a configuration mistake occurred with the SSD, which was acknowledged and resolved with a £40 refund (exceeding the price difference). A free mouse was also provided as a goodwill gesture.

Diagnostic support was offered to check the speaker issue remotely, and guidance was provided.

While I respect your preference for a different outcome, the issue itself was handled openly and compensated in good faith. I always aim to resolve problems fairly and professionally.

Interaction Caused Distress and Was Very Difficult to Resolve

This review reflects my experience communicating with Powerimp on behalf of my partner, who purchased a laptop from them. I act as her carer and made this clear at an early stage, including that direct contact with her could cause medical distress.
A central issue concerned the laptop’s storage not matching the option selected at purchase. When I raised this, the discussions became prolonged and, in my view, more complex than necessary. I had expected a more straightforward resolution, particularly given the practical and emotional impact that returning the item would have had on my partner.
Despite this, further communication was sent directly to her after the situation had been explained. This caused her significant distress and marked the point at which communication broke down.
Overall, I did not find the interaction constructive or supportive, and it resulted in considerable stress. This review is provided so others can understand our experience. All correspondence is retained and can be supplied to Trustpilot if required.
The company’s public response does not, in my view, accurately reflect the substance or chronology of the documented correspondence (December 2023 to November 2025). I have already issued my final response directly and will not engage further on this platform.
Clarification
This review concerns my experience of communication and its impact. It is not intended to determine disputed technical or contractual matters, which are documented separately.

Update (April 2026)
Following this review, the company issued a legal claim against me.
On 17 April 2026, the County Court struck out the claim on the basis that it disclosed no reasonable grounds and that the claimant had failed to comply with a prior court order. The claimant did not attend the hearing.
This forms part of my overall experience.
I have since notified the company of my intention to seek recovery of my costs as a litigant in person.

Update (22 April 2026)
I have been informed that the company has applied to set aside the strike-out and to continue the claim in amended form. I am opposing that application.

As the matter is ongoing, I will not comment further on the merits. This update is included for completeness.

The correspondence indicates that proposed resolutions were introduced over time and did not consistently address the core issue regarding the device configuration. The position remained that the item should be returned before any remedy was provided, and practical arrangements for that return were not resolved at the time.
References to £200 or a replacement arose later during attempts to reach a resolution after earlier proposals had not succeeded, rather than a refusal to engage.

The company's response is flawed.

There is no inconsistency. I assisted with communication because the matter was stressful for my partner. That did not mean that physically returning the laptop, being without the device, arranging packaging, courier collection, replacement equipment, or dealing with further uncertainty would have been straightforward or distress-free for her. My involvement did not remove those practical difficulties.

Otherwise, I disagree mostly with the comments provided by the company. I'll leave it at that, and wait for the court to decide what's next.

Before addressing the substance of the latest update, we note that this review has been repeatedly amended over time.

We trust that the current version will now remain consistent, as previous versions have been revised multiple times following responses or developments in the matter. For clarity, dated records of earlier published versions have been retained.

We dispute the accuracy and overall impression of this review.

The latest update attempts to address this inconsistency by distinguishing between communication support and practical return arrangements. However, this still does not resolve the underlying issue. The reviewer presents themselves as acting on behalf of the purchaser throughout the matter, while simultaneously relying on practical difficulties affecting another individual as a basis for rejecting standard resolution options.

This selective framing of involvement and responsibility remains inconsistent with the documented course of events.

The position is further complicated by the way the reviewer alternates between acting as the primary representative throughout the matter and referring to the practical impact on another individual as a barrier to standard resolution. This shifting framing of involvement does not align with a consistent or clearly defined role.

Further, the suggestion that another individual had no meaningful involvement is inconsistent with the documented correspondence. We were directed in writing to contact that individual, they were copied into email communications, and they also replied directly themselves. Public comments were also made by that individual in relation to the same matter. It is therefore inaccurate to suggest that they were contacted at random or without context.

Throughout this matter, multiple reasonable and documented resolution options were offered, including assistance with the requested Windows upgrade, an offer to replace the keyboard, an offer to change the storage configuration, a partial refund, and acceptance of a return for a full refund, including return delivery costs, even after extended use.

These options were declined. Instead, the customer requested either £200 compensation or a replacement device with higher specifications without first returning the original item. When this was not agreed, the matter was escalated publicly, including indications that further action would be taken if those demands were not met.

We also note that earlier versions of this review contained serious allegations, including claims relating to discrimination and other conduct-related concerns, which remained publicly visible for an extended period and were later amended after legal correspondence had begun. We categorically deny those allegations.

The length of this review, together with the repeated amendments over time, demonstrates that this is no longer a simple account of a customer experience, but an evolving dispute narrative. We do not accept that the changing wording fairly reflects the full documented history of events.

My Experience as a Gift Purchaser

Let me preface by saying that I bought a laptop from this company in December 2023 as a gift for my partner and frankly, I am very fed up with them at this moment in time!

Since purchasing the laptop, my partner did have personal correspondence back and forth to try to resolve the issues between themselves, which is fine. He was the recipient of the gift, I was just the one who bought the laptop for him for Christmas that year.

However, here is where we have an issue. I received an e-mail of a review my partner left on Trustpilot last year, completely unbeknownst to me. I had zero involvement with the company other than purchasing the laptop for my partner! So I received an e-mail in July last year, probing for information about my partner. They were complaining about his Trustpilot review to me (which has since been revised to appease this company) and then followed up by asking for personal information regarding my partner. They asked "Are you related to (insert partner's name here), and are you involved in all of this? Is his full name (insert partner's name here)? Where does he work?"

I found this e-mail highly distressing and as I am a disabled and vulnerable person, I forwarded it to my partner to deal with. Due to this distress stemming from a review, my partner wrote them an e-mail telling them they should not contact me again regarding the review and any issues regarding the purchase, which I now regret as I'm extremely unwell because of this!

Then on the 4th of November 2025, my partner and I were sent an e-mail that started with "This correspondence serves as a formal notice from Powerimp Electronics LTD regarding the defamatory and misleading statements published by Mr (partner's name) on Trustpilot concerning our company and its staff." It went on to state that my partner was not the purchaser of the product in question and that the transaction was solely between myself and the company and therefore my partner "does not hold the legal standing to make claims or publish reviews purporting to be a consumer experience."

This is completely untrue. Anybody who has had a genuine customer experience with a company can leave a review of them. As per Trustpilot themselves, they state under their "who can write a review" page (and I'm quoting the particular parts that are relevant to my situation:

"Our Guidelines for Reviewers set out that you can review a business if you're over 18 and you've had a recent, genuine experience with the business. It could be:

You had a phone conversation, email correspondence, or online chat. Example: You purchased a TV. After 14 months, the TV breaks, and when you call the company you bought it from to get it fixed, they refuse and say it's the responsibility of the manufacturer. You can write a review of the retailer about your experience with their customer service.

You used a business's products or services. Example: You received a bouquet of flowers as a gift from a friend, and the bouquet was delivered to you. You and your friend can review the florist, the flowers, and the courier."

Suffice to say, my partner was completely within his rights to leave a review based on his personal experiences of the company and I should not have been dragged in to the mess between them both.

The aforementioned e-mail stated that my partner needed to:

"Immediately remove or retract the Trustpilot review in full;
Cease from making any further false or misleading public statements about Powerimp Electronics LTD or its staff;
Confirm in writing within 7 days that these actions have been completed."

And that:

"Failure to comply may result in formal legal action being initiated, including but not limited to a Defamation Claim, submission of a Cease and Desist Order, and notification to Trustpilot’s legal team for permanent removal and account restriction."

I was sent this e-mail. I have had absolutely no conversation with this company since I purchased the laptop in question in December 2023. This was an issue between Powerimp and my partner, the person who used the product that was gifted to him.

They were told to leave me alone. I only purchased the laptop as a gift and I got dragged in to their mess as they wanted information on my partner and it is incredibly stressful and unfair and frankly I have had enough of it now. Stop. I am extremely stressed, I am a disabled and vulnerable adult and I was just trying to buy my partner a Christmas present. I read the reviews at the time and I thought they were okay. I was trying to save a bit of money and do something nice for my partner. However, nearly 2 years later, I have been e-mailed by this company.

Based on my personal experience, I found dealing with this company extremely stressful and I wouldn't recommend them

The review appears to present the reviewer’s involvement selectively. While the reviewer states that they had little or no involvement beyond placing the order, the order itself, subsequent correspondence, direct email responses, and later public commentary show that the contact was not random or without context. Another involved individual also directed us in writing to contact the reviewer and copied the reviewer into email communications.

There is also an inconsistency between the accounts. The review states that the laptop was purchased as a gift for another person, while the other reviewer presents himself as handling the matter on behalf of the purchaser, yet also relies on alleged practical difficulties affecting the purchaser as a reason why returning the laptop was problematic. This shifting presentation of involvement and responsibility does not fairly reflect the documented course of events and raises serious concerns about the reliability and completeness of the account presented.

The order was placed by the reviewer, and subsequent correspondence and public commentary in relation to the same transaction directly involved more than one person. The reviewer was therefore not contacted at random or without context.

Whether a platform permits a review to be posted is a separate issue from whether the statements within that review are accurate and complete. We dispute the accuracy and overall impression presented here.

Multiple reasonable and documented resolution options were offered throughout this matter, including technical assistance, replacement options, a partial refund, and acceptance of a return for a full refund with return costs after extended use. These options were not accepted.

We retain full documentation of the correspondence, offers made, and the subsequent public publications relating to this same order.

Just bought my Levono all in one pc, took a tad longer to arrive than expected, but was kept informed all the way, first class service and a great product, works perfectly.
Would highly recommended.

The laptop has finally arrived and all is well, upgraded the GPU which was very nice. Good price but slow delivery took nearly 2 weeks to come.

Order late to receive

I placed an order of a laptop Dell XPS and I have received the order on 11/10/2025. The device is exactly what I need it and I can do my job now perfectly. Hopefully there is not any defaults in the near future.
Great laptop and came with promo and mouse.

The short delay occurred because your parcel was handed to Royal Mail by an assisting person while I was recovering from an injury, which slightly affected dispatch times. Tracking always updates automatically once Royal Mail scans the parcel.

Near 2 weeks late delivery and state of…

Edit issues Near 2 weeks late delivery and state of condition of the laptop doesn't not worthy the cost of £400!! It's battered and held together with superglue clips are missing from the hinge aswell ( edit) issues resolved and other alternatives sorted

Sorry to hear that. However, we haven’t had any recent sales involving laptops priced around £400 — we don’t even offer products at that price point. I'm also unsure what you're referring to with a 'battered laptop held together with superglue and parts missing.' If you were a genuine customer, wouldn't you have contacted us directly about such serious issues?

Customer service could be better. Product received.

I ordered a laptop and initially received a dispatch notification, however the laptop was only dispatched a week later. During this time I received no communication. However Edward did respond a week later explaining he was in hospital, and since his return communication came through regularly. I received the laptop in good working order. I would suggest a backup person to respond to queries just to keep the customer up to date when there is an unavailability for a period of time.
