Fraudulent Book Club

Fraud. My credit card company contacted me in December to ask me to approve a payment for £89 to company called Premier Offers. I told them I had made no such payment and they declined it. Fast forward 6 weeks I've now received a letter about my 'membership' which says I will be automatically charged for some book club. No idea who this company is, how they got my details or how they believe they can fraudulently charge money to my credit card for something I've never signed up to. I've emailed them to set the record straight and said, under GDPR, I instruct them to remove all record of me and my payment details from their system. Has taken up precious time that I simply don't have. Disgusting to think they are praying on elderly.

My father got a letter but he was in hospital!

My father got a letter from Premier Offers Direct saying they had spoken to him on the phone, however that was right in the middle of when he was in hospital for a month! They said following "that conversation", he now has access to their Perx exclusive club.
If not cancelling within 28 days, the fee of £19.99 would be charged per quarter from then onwards.
When I sent an email to their customer service email address, it failed as not existing! Now I have the challenge of cancelling if I can - what a scam!

Premier offers direct scam and i blame…

Premier offers direct scam and i blame Easylife. Which is a parent company. It started by a call and mentioned an item I had purchased from easylife over 2 years ago. Completely against GDRP rules they mention do you want some discount vouchers and information about discounts yes I replied but I will consider them and if I want anything I will get back to you. Received a letter today with some poor magazine and flyers. the letter then states they will take £19.99 every quarter from the card you used in the purchase! For me that was over 2 years ago. I rang them as the email doesn't work the correct one to cancel is: promotions at therewardsclub.co.uk which is not on the letter. The call center person was very evasive and it was very hard to get any details out of him about cancelling this subscription, so much that I requested to speak to someone else or a supervisor which he refused. They also sign you up for several offers. You need to cancel all of them. That concerned me very much and I felt I was being scammed. I then phoned easylife who weren't helpful as they kept on stating they don't keep any details but as you said yes on the call (which I didn't) they will take the money from the card. So how do they have that detail in the first instance? It has taken me most of the afternoon to cancel. Don't fall for the telephone sales team scam just look at all the other concerning reviews

Unethical Tactics

I agree with the other comments on this page Premier Direct is a total scam. They signed my husband into a subscription without his consent after he purchased an item from easylife.

AVOID

Not sure where they got my details from but they rang me multiple times even after I kept telling them no. Then they signed me up to their plan WITHOUT my consent. Cancelled it as soon as I got a letter through the door.

avoid at all costs

Dreadful company, preying on the vulnerable and elderly. Offered my 80 year old father a 'free trial' to 2 rewards clubs, one for pets and another for cashback; he neither has pets nor does his own shopping. The day of their call he was rushed into hospital with a UTI, a chest infection and in end stage renal failure (arguably not in a fit state to sign up for a £65 pet club and £80 cashback club). Avoid them as they are just scammers.

Total scam!

Total scam!! Received a call from their team saying I was due some coupons. Never agreed to any subscription but found they had set up 2 direct debit payments for £120. Contacted the bank immediately and they have been brilliant refunding the money, cancelling my card and the fraud department actively involved. Reading these reviews I now know that it was an easy life order that started all of this!!!

Premier Cashback Rewards (of…

Premier Cashback Rewards (of Sittingbourne, Kent)

Premier Pet Rewards

All run by the same company, Direct Response Marketing Group Limited, (registered number 06333962)
Also known as DRMG
Dolphin House
Creamers Road
Sittingbourne

ME10 3US

Persistent callers throughout the first half of November 2023 trying to get us to sign up for extortionate ‘Rewards’ giving 28 days to cancel a free trial.
They say they will take monies from a card we have used to purchase from one of their group companies.
Which action is surely covered by the Data Protection Act.

They provide 3 email addresses only one of which worked when trying to cancel immediately on receipt of their offers. Did get the courtesy of an email reply cancelling that particular offer - was Premier Pet Rewards (which is a good result as we don’t have any pets!!)
With regard to the other two Reward offers, I couldn’t get through by phone so sent two letters, in one envelope, by Royal Mail Signed for service stipulating that they must not take any money from my card. The letter was signed as received by DRMG. And fortunately I still have that proof of delivery.

Received a further call from them tonight, but hung up when I tried to stop their calls. So if they pursue me for money or further harassment then I WILL pursue them.

Timeline
Date of call from agent was 10th November 2023
Trial date starts 10th November
Trial date ends 8th December
These 3 Letters received 24th November

My cancellation letters by mail to them was signed for at 09.50 On 29th November and I still have proof if I need it.

What a business model - but suppose the cowboys make a good living from it.

Do not use this company

I mirror all the comments below.. This company need shutting down.
Because most of the money my elderly mother had solen was recovered, Action Fraud were not interested.. Which means they can continue scamming and selling card details.
I have reported this to BBC WATCH DOG and would urge others to do the same.

Absolute ba$tards!

If there was such a thing as MINUS STARS I would be awarding them to this shower of ****s. Apparently they're 'affiliated' with Easy Life. They charged me a £1.99 sign up fee (I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING!) and then a few weeks later took £89.80 from my account - for what? I have no idea. I didn't order or buy anything from them. An absolute bunch of SCAM merchants. I went to my bank and put a stop to whatever it was I'd 'signed up for' but I now have to wait 5 working days for a new debit card. These people are vile, evil, grotesque scum who prey on mostly elderly people - thank **** I have online banking otherwise I probably wouldn't have noticed until a monthly statement was sent out. It makes me wonder how many vulnerable people are being fleeced unawares by these vultures? If I ever do manage to get talking to their customer services team (I gave up after hanging on for ages at who knows what cost), I would tell them (in the words of Liam Neeson), "I will look for you, I will find you and I will kill you." THAT'S HOW ANGRY I AM!

Avoid - Easylife sells credit card details on

Easylife sold my fathers details INCLUDING DEBIT CARD to their "promotions department" and they signed him up for a rewards club that he did not agree to. When calling to cancel he jumped from 5th, 7th, 1st, next, 12th in the queue. I am disgusted this could happen. Avoid. Cancel Easylife and all sister companies. They took £79.95 out of his account after 18 days.

Utter scam artists!

Utter scam artists!! Been sent letters claiming I've signed up to various clubs and schemes. Immediately tried emailing them to cancel "free trial". From 3 letters only one email address worked.. found this odd so ordered a new card (they claim they use card details from a previous purchase??) I received an email back stating everything was cancelled then within hours money was taken from my account. Phone numbers and emails on website don't work so going to be fun trying to get my money back! If you receive a letter from these mud-urchins then order a new card and CANCEL THE OLD ONE! don't make the same mistake as me and assume the old card automatically cancels!!! Oh and this money was taken before the "free trial" period was over (27th December) so I'd love to know how that works!
