Vile orange chocolate thins

I ordered the orange chocolate thins and they are revolting! They taste so perfumed and artificial they are inedible. Really disappointing as they are very expensive and I had high hopes for them.
I also bought an egg and a chocolate bar that I haven't opened yet so I hope they are nicer. Nice packaging and quick delivery though.

Beautiful chocolates but all over the…

Beautiful chocolates but all over the inside of the box and bits broken off in places.
Very expensive and I was disappointed at the state of them when my wife opened the heart shaped box on valentines day.
She loves Prestat chocolates and the taste didn't disappoint, but I won't order on line again.

Shame

what a shame . the company has meddled with the classics. the jewel box was perfect. now a new look and some new choices. Unfortunately the flavours are too complicated, and they have culled some of the best, where's the Walnut ? The new box design is less sturdy and underwhelming.
Look, It's like a classic movie guys , just leave it dont remake the classics . off to Rococo to look to be satisfied ! shame

Online Purchasing not to be Recommended

Whilst I have always loved buying from Prestat's shop, the company's online sales facility and fulfilment is extremely poor, backed up with unprofessional customer care.

I placed an order for chocolates to be sent to France on 9th January but, when they had not been received by the intended recipient within a timely fashion, I followed up the tracking details for Royal Mail that Prestat themselves had sent before contacting them. The tracking details produced nothing, supposedly due to computer hacking on the part of Royal Mail. When trying to access my Prestat account, my email address was not being recognised when trying to log on and yet the company was still using the email address to send marketing emails ad nauseam.

The issue of the email address and account log-in - which I raised in two emails - was completely ignored by Prestat, until I reiterated the matter yet again, whilst the company's excuses as to why the chocolates had not been delivered veered from blame upon their fulfilment partner, to French customs, and also to Brexit. It was hugely unprofessional and might have been mitigated had Prestat bothered to manage my expectations initially by proactively communicating the delivery delays or the likelihood of delays to me. Ultimately Prestat is responsible for their fulfilment partner's abilities and, as a customer, I should not have to chase - especially since the carriage fee was more than that of the chocolates themselves!

The chocolates still remain undelivered, presumably lost in the ether, the intended recipient has had another gift bought and delivered from another retailer, and yet, meanwhile, Prestat took payment on 9th January.

There are numerous purveyors of luxury chocolates in the market place but Prestat have a long way to go before they have any credibility as an online retailer. This has been a very poor experience indeed and I won't be returning to or recommending Prestat.

Difficult getting item to US

Just like another reviewer, I ordered chocolates for Christmas and the item sat in Memphis for days. I emailed Prestat a couple of days ago hoping there was something I could do to get it through Memphis. They only have an email, no phone number to talk to someone. I see that the items are being returned to the shipper and I emailed again hoping to get a refund since there was nothing I could physically do to obtain the goods. I initiated a return/dispute through my bank sine I wasn't sure when/if I would get a response. I am updating my review from 1 star to 3, since once I got in contact with someone, they were kind. Unfortunately I cannot rate the actual goods.

In November I ordered Prestat…

In November I ordered Prestat assortments for 96 and 94 year old in-laws. Hoped they would enjoy trying Queen Elizabeth’s favorite chocolates for Christmas. The shipment never made it due to the shippers error. After 10 days sitting at FedEx headquarters in Memphis, I was notified it was returned to Prestat today. I had sent an email to Prestat yesterday but never heard back. No customer service phone
number, just an email address with no human on the other end. I have already paid in full. This must be British customer service. Still hoping someone there will do the right thing.

Come on Royal Mail - sort yourselves out!!

Ordered one of the Hampers 11 days ago and is still showing on Royal Mail website as "The item is on its way to Royal Mail - 25th November 2022. The Sender has advised us they're preparing your item." This must be as frustrating for Prestat as it is for me. Kindly offered a replacement courier service, but I don't wish to pay for delivery. I wonder what would have been inside the Hamper?? Merry Christmas!

I'm sorry to hear your hamper is taking longer than expected to get to you.

I can see our team packed and dispatched your hamper the same day you placed your order - however I'm afraid to confirm that the information we have given you by email is correct to the best of our knowledge.
With the strike action, collections are being cancelled or delayed due to our local depot being unable to go through the backlog of order there and with local businesses.
Our own driver went to drop off Black Friday orders to speed up the process, and we have seen that there are delays in scanning parcels and updating tracking numbers across the board, which is resulting in parcels being marked as "being on their way to Royal Mail".
The strikes, and the consequences of them, have been widely reported on, and we do offer an alternative carrier option at checkout.
In this specific case, we would be happy to re-send your parcel with DPD or DHL, please feel free to respond to our last email to you to discuss whether this would be of interest to you.
