Primordial Radio Avaliações 

As quite a few on here, I found these guys on 106.1 Rock Radio, lost touch with them when they moved to Team Rock due to not having a DAB radio. When I heard about Primordial Radio I was little dubious as i like my classic metal and all this "new" stuff wasn't my cup of tea but i thought i would give it a go.

Would have been 5* but i think the split between new and old should be nearer 50-50. Even though some of the new stuff you play i think is bad, the up vote proves it's just my taste and other people do like it, so i will abide by rule No.1 and not be a dick! and carry on listening and not complaining....to much

Since writing this review, I have noticed that there seems to be a little more of the "Classic Metal" being played. I really enjoy hearing some of the old stuff. Classics like Metallica's Welcome Home (Sanitarium) or MegaDave's Rust in Peace. Not forgetting to mention Anthrax, Testament, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains just to name a few. so with this in mind I've change my vote to 5*

Primordial Radio has taken the sting out of the continuous gusset-punch that has been the last couple of years.

It is a glorious combination of community, recklessly trusted farts and supporting the hell out of new music. I can't recommend it highly enough - my highest ever trust pilot review (by default) - a solid 3/10. Love it.

Where to start, Primordial Radio is much more than an average radio station!
Fantastic presenters still not letting you down from way back in the 106.1 days, new presenters all fantastic too.
If you’re lucky you may even get a cheeky touch from Ted!
Great mix of rock/metal music and tonnes of new music to discover, Freespin Friday is always fun!

I have been with Primordial right since the start of the station (and for a long time before that too). I work from home and listen to Primordial every day. I've had my eyes and ears opened to so much great music and the DJs are all absolutely fantastic. It's great to see them going from strength to strength and my days would certainly be poorer from not having them to listen to.

Great station, discovered these through going to the AGM and just thinking it was "another" gig.

WRONG, it's a great music community and a great radio station. Being online only also means no annoying "radio friendly" songs and plenty, and I mean plenty, of swearing......all in context though (usually).

Sound quality is excellent and the lack of adverts is a joy!

If you're in to your rock/metal/alternative music then this is well worth the subscription.

I have followed Dews, Moose, J-Rock, Miss Rach et al from their Real XS days through to Team Rock and they have gone from strength to strength with the level of content they provide. I invested in the first round of Primordial Radio and never looked back! They aren't just another subscription based take your money and run station. They give back to the community and care what you think. The mix of new and old music is perfect. I have discovered so many new bands through the education these guys provided. Eternally grateful for your existence!

The prfam are one of the most supportive communities I've ever been an part off.

Primordial ripped up the rule book on rock radio. The split of new bands and established stars is great. I've been a member for 2 years and have loved pretty much everything about it. The presenters are engaging and all have their own unique spin on "DJ'ing", and the interactivity whether with presenters or fellow Fam members is a wonderful element. Keep up the good work guys.

Quite simply the best radio station I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of.

Primordial Radio is a great way to listen to rock and metal.

Why do I listen to radio? To hear music, to have presenters telling me about stuff relevent to me and the music I love.

Primordial gives me all this and is uninterrupted by advertising as the station is funded by subscriptions (and merch/events). The value of this cannot be understated... No hearing the same pitches every 15 minutes is bliss.

Primordial has introduced me to new bands, the community and events have introduced me to new friends too, which Is a very unexpected bonus of signing up for a subscription service. Never had Netflix invite me to attend an event and meet new people.

The £5.99 a month might seem quite steep just for hearing the presenters. The same price gets basic Netflix access... However, incorporate the discount on merch and events along with the free to enter (with charity donation) gigs and it quickly becomes great value.
See amazing bands for a £5 charity donation, yes please... Two night camping with Skindred and Terrorvision playing for less than 40 quid (with discount applied) who wouldn't?

For the sense of community, the friendly and supportive atmosphere the presenters foster, and for the introduction to new and interesting music, often including things I previously would have dismissed out of hand, I would say the service is well worth the money.
It may not be everyone's cup of tea, if you prefer just straight music then other streaming services might be more your thing, but I also use other services.
The best parts for me are that I cannot stand broadcast radio adverts or the restrictions in place from the broadcast regulators.
For a completely free 3-month no-obligation trial, it's worth a shot if it's something you think you might enjoy (especially tune-in on Fridays if you're just joining).

Can’t believe it’s been a year since I discovered Primordial Radio, I tried the free three months trial and was pleasantly surprised by the varied playlist and mix of old and new, no Ads is a definite bonus along with the presenters who come across as genuine and knowledgable about the bands they play and chat like mates would, I tried going back to a normal ad based station after the three months freebie but I lasted half a day of burger and car insurance ads and signed up for a year. Give it a go for free, it’s a win win all round. Oh and the AGM all dater/weekender sounds like a blast, not going this year but will be next year.

I have given up trying to remember: all the new bands I've been introduced to; the number of genuine friends I have made thanks to the events; the older songs or artists that I hadn't heard before because they weren't "commercial" enough for other rock and metal stations; the number of times I have been caught giggling like a loon due to the presenters; the evenings watching fascinating and interesting interviews and discussions on Twitch; the number of quizzes that I have either attempted on my own or with mates, all online, keeping me entertained; the amount of merch I have bought, either just for PR or as a collaboration with some of the artists we listen to... all thanks to Primordial Radio.

Primordial Radio has introduced me to so much, and continues to do so daily, which is why I love it. And why I am more than happy to pay to listen, because also, NO ADS! That to me is one of the biggest bonuses when listening. Also, where else would I have a presenter sing me a song when I contact them 😏?

Imagine going to the Download Festival and thinking to yourself, I wish there was a radio station that played the festival line up, Instead of the usual classic rock on repeat that the commercial stations play. Well you've found it, yes there's a monthly fee but it's so worth it. No ads and presenters who care about their listeners. Put simply it's like having Download Festival in your ears every day of the week.

Great bunch of fun DJs, the chatting between tracks is relevant to the songs recently played or used to trigger contact from the listeners about their views on bands/gigs etc. Great mix of new and classic music (although I’d love more proper classic rock).

Well worth the subscription fee to be advert free, it’s not just a radio station - it’s a family.
