I’ve been working as a developer through Proxify for a while, and it’s been a positive experience. The platform connected me with meaningful contract opportunities with companies I wouldn’t have reached otherwise. UPDATE, March 2026

I'm updating my original 1-star review after completing the full onboarding process with Proxify. The short version: the initial experience was genuinely bad, but to their credit, they listened, engaged, and ultimately made it right. I'm now onboarded as a member.

What went wrong (and still needs fixing):

The initial technical assessment remains, in my opinion, flawed. It's a 3-hour timed coding test with camera monitoring, no documentation, no AI tools, and no meaningful code completion. In my case, the test was automatically assigned in C# / .NET, which was not my primary language (Java is), and there was no clear way to request a change, neither in the platform nor in the communications I received. The scaffolding was minimal, the code runner took around 2 minutes per execution, and critical information needed to solve the exercises was missing from both the problem statements and the environment. I scored 100% on 2 out of 3 tasks but ran out of time on the third, not due to lack of skill, but because I spent over an hour figuring out how to access request headers in .NET Core when the most commonly documented approach didn't work in their setup.

After being rejected with a completely generic email ("your technical skills did not meet our requirements"), I received no actionable feedback until I wrote a formal complaint and posted on Trustpilot. That's not how it should work.

What went right:

Once I raised my concerns, Proxify genuinely engaged. Their Technical Assessment Manager scheduled a call with me, listened carefully to my experience, and acknowledged several of the issues I described, particularly around the incorrect language assignment and the lack of a clear process for candidates to flag or change it. He told me they would be working on improving this internally, and in a follow-up call about a month later, he confirmed they were actively addressing it so future candidates would be better informed. That kind of accountability is rare and worth recognizing.

Since my coding test's score was just below the passing threshold (with 100% on two tasks and the wrong language assigned), they agreed to move me forward to the next step in their standard process: a live technical interview. This was a significantly better experience, with realistic exercises, an IDE with autocomplete, and a genuine conversation about software engineering rather than a language-specific memory test. I passed it successfully.

The live technical interview wasn't perfect either. I was told it would be Java-focused but was assigned a non-Java interviewer, which led to a couple of misunderstandings. But it was miles ahead of the initial coding test in terms of actually evaluating real engineering ability.

After passing all evaluations, the contract negotiation was straightforward and the terms were solid and professional. There was one more bump at the very end: a portal issue kept my account locked on the failed initial test, and I was asked to complete the missing exercise to "fix" it. I pushed back, as I had already passed everything and signed the contract, and they ultimately resolved it internally without requiring any additional testing. The final onboarding steps were smooth and professional, and the talent platforms themselves, both Proxify and Deel, are modern and well built.

Bottom line:

Proxify has real potential and clearly offers something valuable. The platform, the contract terms, and the caliber of clients are genuinely impressive. But the initial screening process, the part every candidate experiences first, still needs significant improvement.

That said, when I raised these issues, they listened and acted. That matters, and it's more than most companies in this space would do. I'm cautiously optimistic about what comes next. If the actual work experience matches what's been promised, I'll happily update this review again.

They owe me around 8'000 USD. They did not pay me the last month that I worked with them. They also stole from me my PTO (that they had to pay at the end of the contract). They did not give a reason.
They told me they would get back to me and they just ignored me.
Also, the first payment will come 2 months after you start. And they will take a long time to find a job for you to begin with. Don't waste your time.

10/10 in all areas, and continuously improving.

Unlike many talent platforms, Proxify actively engages with developers and genuinely tries to match you with a suitable client, so you’re not left waiting without feedback. Once you’re placed on a project, they give you the space to focus on your work while handling the important administrative details like payments, holidays, and expenses.

On top of that, the team is extremely friendly, responsive, and helpful. Overall, Proxify feels well-organized and developer-focused, which makes working with them a very positive experience.

My review is based on my experience. I'll be as objective as I can.
- I got a 3h technical test, which after finishing I sent an email asking about an issue with my test. Email got ignored
- then I got a 30min english test. At the end I was not sure if I finished the test. Sent an email asking if everything is okay. Email got ignored
- Got a 30min questionnaire on personality, with pretty irrelevant and general questions, obviously, oooobviously generated with an LLM and never read.
- Was contacted by Celeste Sidan for a live personality check - which among other things asked similar questions from the previous questionnaire.
- Got rejected with a default email. Asked for feedback twice, my emails were ignored.

Summary:
- I was rejected by the platform (so my review might be partially emotional)
- I invested around 5-6 hours in total
- I got 0 feedback and a total lack of respect for my time

Later edit:
I was contacted by Proxify about 2h after I left this review. I had several discussions with them, but the discussions were more about what suggestions I would have for them. They tried explaining that from the 4 step interview I failed the 2nd step, hence that's why i was rejected... which breaks my logic on time management
